Richest Mogul

Chapter 1525

Joe said without hesitation, "I'll go with you."

When it was time to leave work, Joe arrived to pick Skylar up. Together, they headed straight to Janine's house.

The group arrived almost at the same time. They all had keys to the house, but because of the relationship between Janine and Ted, they rarely used them anymore and preferred to ring the doorbell instead. Ted didn't live there, but due to his close relationship with Janine, he visited frequently, and they didn't want to disturb the two of them. Janine quickly came to the door and opened it.

Seeing all her children gathered together, her expression softened slightly. "Come in. I was just washing some fruit."

Once inside, Harvey asked curiously, "Mom, why did you call all of us here?"

Even Charles had shown up. His flight had landed just two hours ago, and he hadn't even rested before making his way here. His face was etched with exhaustion.

Steven and Skylar exchanged a glance, both quietly suspecting what this was about. They figured Janine had either learned that Finn was alive or, more likely, that he had already come to her.

After they all sat down, Janine brought over a plate of fruit and sighed softly as she looked at them. "You already know your father is alive, don't you? Has he reached out to you?"

"What? He has the nerve to come looking for you?" Harvey shot up from his seat.

Charles, never one to hold back his temper, slammed his hand on the armrest. "First, he comes running to each of us, trying to play nice and get us on his side. When that doesn't work, he dares to show up here and bother you? Who gave him the right? What exactly does he think he's going to achieve?"noveldrama

Compared to Harvey's and Charles' fiery reactions, Steven remained composed, though his expression was grave. His voice was calm but firm. "Mom, what did he say to you?"

Skylar stayed quiet, exchanging a look with Joe, who was sitting beside her.

Janine let out a heavy sigh. "He wants you all to go to the hospital and get tested. His daughter with his current wife is very sick, and he hopes you'll get tested to see if you're a match." Skylar's mind flashed back to the girl she had seen with Finn before-a girl who didn't look older than 20.

She wondered if she could be the one who was sick.

Charles' temper flared again. "Why doesn't he go get tested himself? If he had the guts to cheat, he should have the guts to deal with the

consequences. Now he coment ne

running to us when things get tough? What a joke!"

He couldn't hide his disgust. Honestly, he would rather not have this father at all.

Harvey's expression was dark. "There's no way I'm going. Using this kind of situation to pressure us into helping him? Does he think we're saints with nothing better to do than fix his mistakes for free?"

Charles scoffed, following Harvey's train of thought. "He and his current wife can handle this themselves. Why come to us? Are they worried it'll damage their precious health or something? That level of selfishness, expecting others to sacrifice for them, is absolutely disgusting."

Janine sat quietly, her face grim as she listened to her son vent. "Since he's come to us, it's clear he won't give up easily. You all need to think this through carefully and prepare yourselves." Her thoughts had been in turmoil since morning, ever since Finn had shown up. It was impossible to calm down. The emotions she had poured into the relationship 20 years ago now felt like a cruel joke. Finn's shamelessness had pushed her past her limits, making those once cherished memories feel utterly tainted. For her children, this situation was grossly unfair.

Steven said in a low voice, "Mom's right. He won't let this go easily. Charles might have a point. Maybe they're reaching out to us because they're worried about how it might affect their own health. "It's not just us assuming the worst about him-it's the fact that he was a habitual liar back then. It's no surprise he'd pull something like this now."
