Chapter 115
Nesta’s POV
The journey back to the palace was a blur of emotions and tension.
Nolan and Rowan flanked me on either side, their presence a comforting reminder of their commitment to my safety.
We arrived home, the familiar surroundings offering a semblance of solace after the tumultuous events of the day. It feels good to be back to a place I now consider home.
As we entered my room, the weight of everything that had happened seemed to settle on my shoulders. Nolan guided me to sit on the edge of the bed, his touch gentle and reassuring.
“I’ll run a bath for you,” he said softly, his eyes filled with concern. “It’ll help you relax.”
I nodded, feeling a lump form in my throat. My mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and fears, the adrenaline from the past hours still coursing through my veins.
Nolan moved to the bathroom, and I could hear the sound of running water as he prepared the bath. A smile tilted the edge of my lips at that.
Rowan stood by the door, his phone pressed to his ear as he handled the logistics of dealing with Peter. He looks deadly and every inch the alpha king he is.
I can’t get over the fact that he is now standing on his feet. Also the fact that I have had sex with him. just recently. I looked away, the thought making me flush.
“Yes, make sure he’s secured. We need to find Leon,” he said, his voice tense. “Keep me updated.” He ended the call and turned to me, his expression softening. “How are you feeling?”
Before I could answer, a sudden, overwhelming sensation gripped me. It felt like a vise tightening around my chest, squeezing the air out of my lungs.
I gasped, my hands flying to my throat as if trying to pry away an invisible force. Panic surged through me, and I couldn’t breathe.
Rowan’s eyes widened in alarm. “Nolan!” he called out urgently, rushing to my side. “Nolan, something’s wrong!”
Nolan was by my side in an instant, his hands on my shoulders, his voice calm but firm. “Nesta, look at me. Breathe, baby. You need to breathe.”
I tried to focus on his voice, but the world was spinning, my vision narrowing to a tunnel. I felt like I was suffocating, and sheer terror clawed at my insides.
Nolan’s hands moved to my face, his eyes locking onto mine. “In and out, Nesta. Just breathe. You can do this.”
Rowan knelt beside me, his hand on my back, his presence a steady anchor. “You’re okay, Nesta. Just focus on Nolan’s voice.”
I struggled to follow their instructions, my breaths coming in short, ragged gasps. The room seemed to close in on me, and I felt like I was drowning.
But gradually, Nolan’s voice pierced through the haze of panic. “That’s it, good girl,” he murmured, his thumbs brushing soothingly over my cheeks. “Just keep breathing. We’re right here with you.”
With their guidance, the tightness in my chest began to ease. I focused on Nolan’s eyes, drawing strength from his calm determination.
Slowly, painfully, my breaths steadied. The crushing weight lifted, and I could finally draw a full breath.
Nolan kissed my forehead, his lips warm and reassuring. “Good girl,” he whispered, his voice filled with relief. “You did it.”
Rowan stepped back, a mixture of relief and awkwardness on his face. He seemed unsure of what to do, his gaze flicking between Nolan and me.
“It was a panic attack,” Nolan explained gently. “With everything going on, it’s no wonder.”
I nodded weakly, feeling exhausted and emotionally drained. “I’ve never had one before,” I managed to say, my voice barely above a whisper.
Nolan hugged me tightly. “We’ll help you through this, Nesta. You don’t have to face it alone.”
Rowan’s expression softened, and he reached out to squeeze my hand. “We’re here for you, always”This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
I felt a pang of sadness for Rowan, seeing the awkwardness and the pain in his eyes. He stepped away, giving Nolan and me space, but the distance between us felt like a chasm.
I wanted to say something, to reassure him, but the words wouldn’t come.
Nolan helped me to my feet, guiding me towards the bathroom. “Let’s get you in the bath,” he said gently. “It’ll help you relax.”
As the warm water enveloped me, I closed my eyes, the tension slowly ebbing away. Nolan stayed close, his presence a steady comfort.
I couldn’t shake the image of Rowan’s pained expression, the way he had stepped back to give us space. It hurt to see him like that, but I didn’t know how to bridge the gap between us.
After the bath, Nolan helped me dry off and get dressed in comfortable clothes. We moved to the bed, where he tucked me in with a tender kiss on my forehead.
“Get some rest,” he said softly. “We’ll figure everything out together.”
I nodded, my heart heavy with unspoken words and unresolved emotions.
Nolan stayed by my side, his hand holding mine, while Rowan stood by the door, his expression s mix of determination and sorrow.
“It’s going to be okay.” Nolan whispered, his voice soothing. “We’ll get through this, Nesta. I promise.”
As I drifted off to sleep, I held onto his words, hoping that somehow, we would find a way to navigate the tangled web of emotions and uncertainties that lay ahead.
The road wouldn’t be easy, but with Nolan and Rowan by my side, I felt a glimmer of hope.
I drifted into a deep sleep, the exhaustion of the day finally catching up with me. My dreams were a blend of vivid colors and emotions, swirling together in a tapestry of longing, and hope.
In the dream, I found myself in a serene meadow, bathed in the soft light of dawn. The air was fresh and filled with the scent of blooming flowers.
Nolan and Rowan stood side by side, their expressions gentle but serious. They looked at each other, then back at me, as if silently communicating a shared understanding,
My heart raced with anticipation, wondering what they were about to say.
Nolan stepped forward first, his eyes softening as he reached out to take my hand. “Nesta,” he began, his voice steady and reassuring, “we’ve been talking, and we both agree on something very important.”
Rowan nodded, stepping closer. His eyes held a mix of emotions–determination, love, and a hint of anxiety. “We want you to be with us,” he said, his voice filled with sincerity. “Both of us. Together
A wave of relief and joy washed over me. I felt a sense of completeness, like a missing piece of my heart had finally been found.
“Are you sure?” I asked, my voice trembling with emotion.
Nolan squeezed my hand gently. “Yes, we’re sure. We love you, Nesta, and we want to make this work.”
Rowan’s hand joined Nolan’s, covering mine. “We know it won’t be easy, but we’re willing to try. For you. For us.”
Tears welled up in my eyes, but they were tears of happiness. I could feel the love radiating from both of them, wrapping around me like a warm embrace.
“Thank you,” I whispered, my voice choking with emotion. “I love you both so much.”
They pulled me into a hug, their arms encircling me, and for the first time in a long while, I felt a profound sense of peace.
In the dream, the meadow seemed to glow brighter, as if the world itself was celebrating our union.
Yet, even in this perfect moment, I could sense a lingering shadow, something unspoken hovering just beyond our reach. Nolan and Rowan exchanged a glance, their expressions shifting slightly.
“There’s something else,” Nolan said, his voice a bit hesitant. “Something we need to talk about.”
Rowan nodded in agreement. “But it can wait until the morning. For now, let’s just enjoy this moment.”
I nodded, understanding that whatever it was, we would face it together. The dream continued, filled with laughter and love, as we explored the meadow hand in hand.
The concerns of the waking world seemed distant and inconsequential in this perfect dreamscape.
I lay in the embrace of sleep, I knew that the morning would bring new challenges and conversations.
But for now, I let myself be carried away by the warmth of their love and the promise of our future together.
When morning came, I would be ready to face whatever awaited us, knowing that we were united in our love and commitment.
But for now, I allowed myself to bask in the dream, cherishing every moment of this amazing, magical night.
