Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled

Chapter 293

Chapter 293

This scene was just too shocking. I turned to Stella and her gang, my eyes asking, “Did you guys do this?”

That was just too damn cruel.

Stella shook her head, shrugged her shoulders, and answered me with her eyes, “This wasn’t us.”

That was really strange then. Judging from Malinda’s current state, she was clearly under the influence of some drug, or else she wouldn’t be this bold.

By this time, Russel and Chloe had also arrived. Seeing the scene, his gaze turned to me.

I played dumb. Similar things had happened when we had confirmed our relationship, but at least we had some sanity left then.

“Malinda!!”

Suddenly, Louis’s angry voice rang out. Everyone’s attention immediately turned to him. His face was filled with shock and anger, staring at the couple on the ground, who were like two wild animals.

Malinda turned to Louis’s voice and looked at him for a second. She was startled at first, and then her eyes became dazed again. She shamelessly said, “Louis, why don’t you join us? It feels so good…”

The crowd instantly erupted into a frenzy. Many even took out their phones to record.

Louis’s face turned pale. He was watching his girlfriend having sex with another man in public! This kind of humiliation was unacceptable for any man.

He clenched his fists and said, “Malinda, we’re done!”

He said and walked away. Malinda was momentarily stunned, then continued to indulge herself, completely devoid of any sense of shame.

Who would do such a thing to her? This was too much, wasn’t it?

And where were Bonnie and Kate? Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

Just then, a door at the end of the corridor opened. Bonnie walked out. Her clothes were disheveled, her hair was a mess, and there were hickey marks on her exposed neck. But her eyes were filled with anger and hurt as if she’d just been crying.

With Malinda still out of it on the ground, Bonnie appeared in such a stale.

The man who walked out from behind Bonnie was Neil.

Everyone was shocked, but they dared not gossip about Neil casually

Neil’s tie was undone, and there was lipstick on his face. It was clear what he and Bonnie had just done.

But his eyes were brutally cold, filled with anger. He didn’t look like he’d just had a good time but more like he’d just killed

someone.

Neil’s gaze swept over the crowd and landed on me.

I avoided his gaze. I didn’t want to get involved in this. Let everyone’s attention focus on Neil and Bonnie.

But I couldn’t help looking at Kitty next to me. I could imagine how pissed off she must have been.

“Malinda, what the hell are you doing? Get up!” Upon seeing Malinda on the ground, Bonnie was shocked and immediately went to pull her up.

Malinda seemed to be regaining some sanity. After being pulled up by Bonnie, she looked around blankly, then looked down at her naked body, but couldn’t react for a moment.

Bonnie quickly borrowed a coat from someone nearby and draped it over Malinda.

“Stop taking pictures!” she yelled at the people around her, then helped Malinda leave. She didn’t explain what she and Neil had been doing in the room.

After Malinda left, Russel, with a cold face, brutally kicked the fat guy still lying on the ground, “Get out!”

The fat guy got up and fled the scene in a sorry state.

Such a scandal at the originally solemn engagement party made Russel’s face extremely ugly. Chloe, next to him/also looked uneasy.

Thankfully, Lauretta didn’t see this, or she might have worsened her condition due to anger.

“You all can go now.” Russel said to the others. His gaze lingered on Neil for a couple of seconds, filled with animosity.

Neil remained expressionless.

Why were he and Bonnie in that room? What happened in there? I didn’t want to think about these questions anymore.

I was glad I didn’t come with Neil today; if the news of our getting back together had just spread and people had seen what happened between Neil and Bonnie, I would have been utterly humiliated.

“I… I’m speechless.” Stella said with a helpless face as we went downstairs, “Why can’t Neil and Bonnie Bitch just break it off?”

“Rena, are you sure you want to get back with him?” Barbara asked me worriedly.

I nodded and whispered, “I need his help right now, especially for my dad.”

Upon hearing my words, they all understood my meaning.

We fell silent for a moment

Everyone had gone downstairs, and no one noticed Neil and Russel still lingering in the upstairs, corridor. I didn’t notice either until Mitch rushed over and whispered anxiously to me, “Irene, you need to go up there and stop them! Neil seems to be in a fight with Russel!”

I was startled and had to rush to the second floor. At the end of the corridor, Neil was grabbing Russel by the collar, swinging his fists. What was incomprehensible was that Russel didn’t fight back much; he just raised his hand passively to

block.

Chloe was crying anxiously to the side, wanting to stop them but unable to.

“Neil, what the hell are you doing?” Kitty, who had come up with me, was also taken aback and tried to hold Neil back.

But Neil shoved her hand away, then pointed at Russel’s face; his voice was terrifying as he said, “What the hell are you trying to do? Russel, I’ve had enough of you!”

Russel wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, even managing a smile. He lay on the ground motionless, only his chest rising and falling in proof he was still alive, “Neil, we’ve been good friends for

so many years, so you should know me. There are two things in my life that I’m least willing to obey my family’s arrangements, one is work, the other is marriage.”

Neil gritted his teeth and said, “I’ve also said that you can have any woman, but not Irene.”

“Why didn’t you cherish her before then? Russel countered coldly, “You gave me the chance to fall in love with her.”

“Did you have someone send me those photos? And today’s events were all planned by you and Bonnie, right?” Neil’s voice was a bit calmer, but it only highlighted his simmering anger.

Russel shut his eyes, then opened them again to look at Neil and asked, “Got any proof?”

I had no clue what they were talking about, but when Neil balled his fist again, I dashed over, grabbed his arm, and sald, “Stop it! Today’s his engagement day. Let’s go home!”

But Russel murmured and retorted, “Let him hit me. It’s the only way he’s got left to let off steam.”
