Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 829

Nina said, "Your so-called attempt at making it up to me? It's absolutely heartless. Mom set me up with four caregivers, but because Greta got jealous, you insisted I give two of them to her just to keep her happy. Seriously, why do you always take her side the moment she starts crying? If that's how it's going to be, then I don't need you as a father anymore."

"What do I care if you decide to be a beggar?"

Nina stood up, her eyes wild with emotion. "Dad, this is the last time I'm calling you that. Our father-daughter relationship is officially over. My resentment towards you ends here too. I hope in the next life, we won't run into each other and can just be strangers."

"Nina-"

Cameron ran after her, begging, "I'm not mad at you anymore, sweetheart. Can you please not leave me? I've already lost everything; can't I at least keep you?"

Nina pushed his hand away. "You want me around so you can use me to manipulate Mom? She'd never let me suffer, and she'll give me plenty of money. You plan on living off the allowance she gives me to keep up your respectable image? Keep dreaming."

With that, Nina walked away without a backward glance. Her voice echoed as she left, "Rotten people belong in the gutter."

Nina's hatred for Cameron was unmistakably clear at that moment. Cameron was left stunned. Was he really so despicable? Even his own daughter despised him so intensely?

"Hahaha."

He laughed bitterly, lost in despair. Laughing at himself for messing up everything he had.

Stewart Mansion.

Nathalie's car was parked by the roadside, her eyes locked on the intersection. This was where Nathan had his accident. A sniper's bullet had hit him right in the heart.

She stepped out of the car and told Lizzy, "Lizzy, I want to stay here for a bit. You go ahead and park the car in the garage."

Lizzy, understanding her sister's pain, gave her a comforting look. "Stay strong, sis."

Nathalie nodded. Only then did Lizzy drive the car into the secondary garage.

Nathalie stood at the intersection, looking off into the distance. In her

mind, she saw Nathan that day gently fastening her seatbelt. He'd

even given her cheek a playful pinch. His eyes had been full of her.

Tears welled up in Nathalie's eyes as she choked out, "Nathan, I've avenged you. Are you happy?"

"As you wanted, I've reached the top. Are you happy?"

"I've become someone you wouldn't recognize. Would you still like me this way?"noveldrama

"You probably would. You always said you'd love me no matter what I did."

Suddenly, the main house's door

swung open, and Regan stood there, stunned to see Nathalie. Nathalie gave him a cool look. "Was it worth it?" she asked.

Regan followed her gaze, roughly guessing what she was referring to, and his face turned a mix of pale and green.

"I didn't expect you'd be even more ruthless than him," he said through clenched teeth.

Nathalie replied, "So, do you regret it now?"

"Had you spared his life, even if he wasn't fond of us, he would've been mindful of

our family ties and hesitated to harm you."

"But you weren't content, and you hired an assassin to kill him."

"With his death, our family bond is completely broken," Nathalie said slowly, as if recounting a story that had nothing to do with her, though her hand beneath her sleeve nearly pierced her own skin.
