Reborn As The 55
Chapter 55
Eleanor rolled her eyes. "Do you have any idea how ridiculous that sounds?"
Felix, however, was firm. "What's so ridiculous about it? Back in the day, wealthy families would always have companions to help their daughters study. It's not like we can't afford it."
"Shut up!" Eleanor snapped. She couldn't believe he even suggested it.
The two of them bantered as they walked into the villa, but as soon as they stepped inside, they noticed something was off. The servants, who were usually busy with their own tasks, were all gathered outside with their heads down, not daring to move. The living room was a complete mess, and at the entrance, there was a cardboard box filled with stuff.
Eleanor immediately recognized what was inside. It was her belongings.
Before she could say anything, Felix lost his temper first. "What the hell is going on here?" Not a single servant dared to move or speak.
Just then, a cold, raspy male voice came from the couch. "You're finally back, huh?"
Looking toward the voice, they saw a man dressed in a black trench coat. His striking eyes carried a hint of indifference, and his strong, well-built physique suggested he could've been a handsome gentleman-if not for the messy, unkempt hair that gave him a strangely out-of-place appearance.
Next to him, Gloria sat with teary eyes, looking pitiful as she clung to his sleeve like she had just finished crying.
Eleanor clearly saw that when the man first laid eyes on her, his gaze lit up briefly. But the moment Gloria cried again and tugged at his sleeve, his expression immediately turned cold.
Seeing this, Eleanor raised an eyebrow as she had a pretty good guess about what was going on.
"Corey, what the hell is your problem? Why are you messing with Ellie's stuff?" Felix's face was red with anger.
Corey, utterly unfazed by Felix's outburst, nonchalantly tilted his head and replied with a blank expression, "Felix, it's been a few days, and you've forgotten how to show basic respect to your brother? Besides..."
He glanced over at Eleanor, who was being held by Felix, a hint of mockery flashing across his face. "I only have one sister, and that's Gloria."
The way Corey looked at Eleanor made her uncomfortable. It wasn't just disdain in his eyes-there was also a strange curiosity, like he was trying to read her. That probing gaze, filled with hostility, made her uneasy. She didn't like it at all.
Felix was fuming from Corey's words and immediately snapped back, "Are you fucking blind? Can't you tell who doesn't look like you?"
Corey chuckled lightly, "I'd rather be blind than as dumb as some people."
"Who are you calling dumb?" Felix yelled, jumping in frustration.
"Whoever responds to it."Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"You piece of-"
Seeing the argument escalate, and with Felix clearly about to go in for a fight, Eleanor quickly stepped in, alarmed. "Wait! Put me down first, Felix."
She realized that if he rushed ahead without remembering he was still carrying her, she could easily get caught in the crossfire.

And Eleanor was right. Felix, who was boiling with anger, had indeed forgotten he was still holding his sister. Only after her reminder did he hurriedly place her on a clean sofa and try to reassure her. "Don't worry. I'll get back at him for you." As soon as he finished speaking and before Eleanor could even stop him, Felix launched himself like a missile and threw a punch.
Corey took the hit squarely, completely stunned. He clearly hadn't expected Felix to actually start a fight. Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, he shouted angrily, "Felix, are you serious?"
Felix, already burning with rage, couldn't stop now. He raised his fist for another punch. "Of course I'm serious! How else am I gonna knock some sense into your thick skull?" Corey cursed. "You motherfucker!"
The first punch had caught Corey off guard, but now that he was prepared, he dodged the second one easily. Corey was older and stronger than Felix, so by all logic, he should've been able to overpower Felix. But Felix was like a lit firecracker, leaving Corey with no chance to strike back.
Gloria, sitting off to the side, was terrified. This was the first time in her life she had ever seen the two brothers come to blows. She shouted, "Corey, Felix, stop fighting!"
But the two, with adrenaline pumping, couldn't hear her at all. Gloria grew anxious. She had wanted to get closer to Corey and make her presence known, but never imagined things would escalate this far. Now that they were brawling, she had no idea what to do. Just as Gloria was about to turn around and call for a servant to help, she suddenly noticed Eleanor on the side, who was minding her own business and quietly packing things away. Furious, she started to accuse Eleanor. "Corey and Felix are fighting, and you're still so calm?"
Eleanor rifled through the boxes that had been thrown around. Luckily, Corey had only tossed some random junk from under the table-nothing important. She figured he was probably just trying to give her a warning.
Hearing Gloria's accusations, Eleanor stared at her, expressionless. "And you, of all people, should know exactly why they're fighting."
Eleanor thought mockingly, 'If it weren't for Gloria constantly playing mediator, would they be at each other's throats like this? Besides, it seems this so-called second brother doesn't like me at all-probably even hates me. Gloria no doubt played a part in that, too. 'But then again, she's pretty clever. Now that Andrew and Felix are on my side, she's already found herself a new protector.
Just then, the sound of a car engine echoed from outside-Andrew was back.
But the two men, fully engrossed in their fight, had no intention of stopping. Eleanor frowned, debating whether she should step forward and say something when, out of nowhere, she saw Gloria, who had been standing off to the side, suddenly rush toward them. "Corey, Felix, stop fighting!"
The two brawling men were so caught up in their scuffle that they didn't even notice Gloria coming over. Someone's foot struck her hard, sending her tumble to the ground.
"Ah! Ow..." She let out a painful whimper.
Almost at the exact moment Gloria hit the floor, a deep voice came from the doorway, filled with anger. "What the hell are you all doing?"
Her timing was impeccable-down to the very second-just enough for Andrew to see her fall the moment he walked in.
Eleanor clicked her tongue, feeling thoroughly impressed. If the situation weren't so serious, she'd have applauded Gloria's performance. 2/3

At this point, the two men finally stopped fighting. Seeing Andrew standing there with a scowl, they instinctively let go of
each other.
Corey's face changed as he noticed Gloria sitting on the floor, looking pained. He quickly rushed over to help her up. "Gloria, are you okay? Did we accidentally hit you just now?"
Gloria held her stomach, her eyes brimming with tears, looking utterly pitiful. "I'm fine, Corey. Please don't fight with Felix over Eleanor anymore. It's not worth ruining your relationship. Eleanor was speechless. She was practically hiding in a corner, yet somehow, she still got dragged into this mess.
