Gloria returned to her room and made a call. After a moment, the call went through, and a deep, magnetic voice filled with affection came from the other end. "Hey, is that you, Gloria? Is there anything I can help?"
Immediately, she started to complain, her voice full of exaggerated sadness, "Corey, Andrew and Felix bullied me! They don't care about me anymore. I'm so upset."
The person on the other end of the line was none other than Corey Vanderbilt, the second heir of the Vanderbilt family.
Corey was currently the star pupil of Xavier Cox, one of the most famous designers in the country, and also a member of Urban Axis, the most influential design team around. At a young age, Corey had already won countless awards in both domestic and international fashion and styling design competitions, earning the title of a "true fashion darling".
Hearing Gloria's complaints, Corey was
momentarily confused. "Huh? What happened? Isn't Andrew usually the one who spoils you the most? How could he bully you?"
At the mention of this, a flash of hatred crossed her eyes as she gritted her teeth. "It's all because of Eleanor!"
Hearing that name, Corey didn't immediately recognize who she was talking about. "Eleanor?"
It was only then that Gloria realized her tone wasn't quite right, so she quickly softened it and added, "My sister, Corey. Don't you remember? Eleanor is my sister." When Corey heard that, it clicked for him.
Oh, right, he thought, 'the long-lost sister who had just been brought back home. No wonder the name sounded familiar. But I've been locked up in the studio working these past few days. Ever since she returned, I haven't even seen her once, so I have no idea what she looks like.'
Listening to Gloria complain, Corey could roughly guess that there had been some major changes in the family since that sister returned. He figured that this so-called sister was quite skilled at stirring up trouble. She hadn't even been back for long, yet even someone as upright as Andrew had already been swayed. Poor Gloria, having to deal with that.
Corey immediately developed a bit of distaste for this Eleanor, whom he had never met. Then, he comforted Gloria. "Don't be upset. Andrew and Felix clearly don't know how to judge people. They're the blind ones. I'll always be on your side." Seeing that her goal was achieved, Gloria beamed and responded playfully, "Thank you! I knew you were the best."
Hearing her tone improve, Corey relaxed a bit, and his voice softened as well. "But I'm guessing you didn't just call me to talk about this, right? Do you need my help with something?"
"Corey, you're
SO
smart! Yes, I do need a little favor. Can you send me a really beautiful ballet costume?" Gloria asked sweetly.
She then briefly explained the ballet audition at school. As soon as Corey heard, he immediately agreed without hesitation. "Of course. I'll make sure to send you the most stunning costume so you can wow everyone." Gloria squealed. "Wow, thank you! I knew you were the best!"
Corey hung up the phone and let out a long sigh. He massaged the crease between his brows, his features sharp and refined -high cheekbones, a straight nose, and amber eyes that carried a cold, aristocratic air.
But despite how handsome he was, his clothes were disheveled, and his hair was a messy tangle. Dark circles framed his eyes, a clear sign of insomnia and sleepless nights. There was an undeniable sense of gloom and fatigue surrounding him.
At that moment, Corey's assistant walked in, carrying a cup of coffee and setting it on his desk. With a worried expression, the assistant asked, "Still no inspiration, Corey? There are only five days left until the competition, and we haven't come up with a single decent design yet. We can't go on like this." Corey ran his hand through his hair, making the already bird's-nest-like mess even worse. "Yeah, I know. I'm trying to find

some inspiration here."
The assistant hesitated but finally said, "Alright then. I'll leave you to it. I'll be outside if you need anything."
"Wait." Corey stopped him. "Go get the 'Whispering Breeze' dance costume."
The assistant froze. "Huh? That costume just won an award, and a bunch of celebrities are lining up to rent it. Who's it for?" Corey replied casually, "Oh, my sister's got an audition. I'm bringing it for her to wear. Stop asking questions and go get it!" Despite his reluctance, the assistant didn't dare refuse. "Alright. I'll get it."

Gloria felt much more at ease after learning that Corey would be helping her. With his support, she was more confident that she could outshine Eleanor.
Just then, a teacher with short hair approached Gloria, carrying a clipboard. "You're Gloria, right? I'm the teacher in charge of managing the auditorium. You signed up for the audition, correct?"
Gloria nodded. "Yes, I did."
The teacher replied, "Well, we need to ask every auditioner if they have any specific stage effects they'd like. For instance, would you need dry ice to create an atmosphere? Or perhaps streamers or bubbles? The school is placing a lot of importance on this audition, so we'll do our best to accommodate your requests." Gloria nodded, signaling that she understood. "Alright. I just need some ribbons."
The short-haired teacher also nodded and jotted it down in her notebook. "Got it. I'll write that down for you. Good luck with your project." With that, she was about to turn and leave.
Suddenly, something came to Gloria's mind, and she quickly called after the teacher, "Wait! I just remembered-there's a specific color I need for the ribbons. Hmm... How about this? Let me write it down for you, and you can handle the purchasing later." The short-haired teacher handed her the notebook and said, "Sure. No problem."
Gloria took the notebook and glanced at the names under Class A. As expected, Eleanor's name was there, and ribbons were written next to it.
Gloria scoffed and thought, 'She's really taking this seriously, huh? How dare she try to match me?' She gritted her teeth, wrote down her request, and handed the notebook back to the teacher with a smile. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." The short-haired teacher didn't think much of it, closed the notebook, and walked away.
Gloria narrowed her eyes, a bold plan forming in her mind as she pondered, 'Since Eleanor doesn't know her place and foolishly dreams of becoming a swan, I'll make sure she's covered in filthy black ink. Let's see how she'll perform as the "pure white swan" then.' She had performed in the school auditorium plenty of times before, so she knew the place like the back of her hand. Swapping out the ribbons for ink backstage would be a piece of cake for her.
Gloría pondered angrily, 'Last time, that idiot Janet failed to follow through with the bet, letting Eleanor win and keep her ugly face hidden from everyone. But this time....black ink on a white dress? Staining those oversized glasses Eleanor hides behind? There's no way she won't show that hideous face of hers When she's humiliated this time, it'll be game over for her!
'Eleanor, I'd love to see how you're going to bounce back from t
