Eleanor looked up at Stephen, her gaze behind the glasses completely devoid of emotion. Fine. I'll go to your house. But if you dare lie to me. I won't hesitate to twist your head off and kick it around like a ball."

Her threat still carried the soft, youthful sweetness of a girl, and Stephen felt his heart swell, realizing that even this bristling Little Hedgehog was irresistibly cute.

"Alright," he said with a smile. "You don't have to worry, I said I wouldn't pressure you anymore, and I keep my

word. My grandpa and yours were war buddies. Even if the Lloyd family is financially stronger than the Vanderbilt family. I'd still have to show some respect for your grandpa, right? And besides..." Stephen's eyes glanced over Eleanor from head to toe, a mix of appraisal and amusement. "Besides, I've realized that I was wrong about my taste before. Turns out, I'm not really a fan of stick figures. "You!" Eleanor's e eyes widened in anger. Internally, she grumbled. He's doing this on purpose. He's absolutely doing this on

purpose.

"While the original Eleanor's body was malnourished and frail, she wasn't as thin as a dried-up twig. Her figure was delicate yet well-proportioned, not unhealthily so. After making a concerted effort to increase her protein and energy intake, she had already regained a significant portion of her shape.

"Maybe she couldn't compare to the curvy bombshells on TV, but she definitely had a figure that looked trim in clothes and shapely out of them. How did she end up as some kind of twig in Stephen's eyes?

"But maybe this wasn't such a bad thing. Judging by his look of disdain, he didn't seem all that obsessed with me being his fiancée anymore!

Eleanor turned to Vincent, who stood nearby, and said, "When Andrew gets back, tell him I had something come up and went to a classmate's house. Don't tell him I went to Lloyd Villa

She figured Andrew had already clashed with the Lloyd family on her behalf, and she didn't want him getting into more trouble with Stephen, causing unnecessary problems for the company.

Eleanor reasoned that as long as she took off the bracelet today, she could draw a clear line between her and Stephen and never have to deal with him again. So, there was no sense in causing a scene. Vincent looked a little conflicted. "But Mr. Vanderbilt told me to have you wait here for him. If you leave, it's going to be hard for me to explain."

Eleanor was firm. "It's fine. Just tell him what I said. When I get home, I'll explain everything to Andrew myself."

Vincent stammered, "Uh... But-

Before he could finish, Eleanor had already turned and walked off, leaving him standing there, stuck in an awkward dilemma about whether to chase after her or stay put Oscar, unable to watch any longer, walked over and patted Vincent on the shoulder. I feel you, my man. From my experience, I suggest you do as Ms. Vanderbilt says." Vincent forced a laugh. You sure this will save my life?"

Oscar looked up at Stephen, who was trailing close behind Eleanor and sighed, "Whether it saves your life, I don't know. But I can tell you one thing

"What's that?" Vincent asked.

Oscar grinned. "When you're sucking up to someone, make sure you pick the right person"

Ross had just stepped out of the elevator when a strong force yanked him into a room. The door was promptly kicked shut with a bang. Then, the person asked, "You came just like that? No mask, no sunglasses, not even a hazmat suit?" Ross, already getting a headache from the noise, slapped him lightly and pushed him away a little. I'm not a celebrity. Why would I need to wrap myself up like that?"

Gregory nearly jumped up, his pink hair practically standing on end. "Maybe you're not, but I am! What if the paparazzi catch you coming over here like that? I'm a top star in the entertainment industry, okay? I've got fans all over the world." Ross, not in the mood to argue, kicked off his shoes and plopped down on the couch. "Relax. I made sure to check on my way here. There were no paparazzi around.

Only after hearing this did Gregory calm down. Gregory naturally trusted Ross' scouting abilities, so if Ross said there weren't any, there definitely weren't. But still...

"Wait a minute. I'm that famous, and there weren't any paparazzi stalking me? I don't accept this! No way. I'm calling my manager to send a dozen paparazzi over here to boost my reputation" Gregory started dialing.

Ross was utterly speechless, wondering to himself, "What kind of logic is this? Have I been out of the country too long, and now my understanding of my native language is slipping? Or is Gregory just an idiot? Hmm... The latter seems more likely. Ross rubbed his temples, and his gaze happened to fall on the tablet sitting on the couch. The chat window was full of messages, and the Twitter ID on the screen read: [SamuelSucks3] Unable to hold back, Ross asked, "Is this your burner account?

Gregory was straightforward. "Yeah. I've got 108 fake accounts, all just for hating on Samuel. I call them 'the 108 Avengers', Cool, right?" His smug look made him seem even more like an idiot. Ross couldn't help but poke fun at him. "You can make fake accounts all you want. But why put numbers at the end? Doesn't that just make it obvious they're all your accounts?" Gregory ruffled his pink hair. "But if I don't number them, I'll mix them up when I switch accounts. If I skip hating on Samuel even once, that's one less bad review, and that's just unacceptable." Ross was utterly drained and at his wit's end. This was one of those times when the old saying fit perfectly. "You can wound a thousand enemies, but you'll hurt yourself almost as much."

When Gregory finally stopped his crazed ranting, he remembered the real issue at hand. He scooted closer to Ross, carefully asking. "You went to Aloria High School today, right? How did it go? Did you see the sect leader? Did she say anything about me being rude the other day?"

Ross shook his head. "No. I didn't see her."

"What? How's that possible?" Gregory's voice went up an octave, sounding disbelieving. Didn't you say you went to Aloria High School today?"

"I did. But I went to see my sister who's studying there. Things were a bit rushed, so I didn't have time to look for the sect leader. Besides, you said the bracelet has already chosen its master, and a new sect leader's been born. There's no need to be Gregory stroked his chin and nodded. "Yeah. You've got a point. It's not like the sect leader is going anywhere."

At this, his eyes lit up. "Wait. Your sister is at Aloria High School too? Why not have her help us out? She's a classmate, so it should be easier for her to find the sect leader."

Koss eyes narrowed sharply as he flatly refused. "No way! My sister is innocent and pure. I don't want her involved in

anything this dark. It might scare her: But in truth, what Ross feared most was his sister getting entangled with Ghost Sect-

once involved, it would be hard to get out.

He thought about how Eleanor was smart, hardworking, and dedicated. She had a bright future ahead of her, and he wasn't about to let her throw it all away by getting dragged into something dangerous. He wanted her to live freely, without any worries. Gregory let out a snort and chuckled, "Didn't know you were such a sister-protector. Why don't you introduce her to me sometime? Who knows, she might be my fan."

Ross' eyes turned icy, and before Gregory knew it, a dagger appeared in Ross' hand, the blade pressed swiftly against Gregory's neck. "Don't even think about it!" Ross snapped.

Gregory's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the knife at his throat. "What the hell, man? I was just joking?"

But Ross didn't back down, his gaze deadly serious. "If you bring it up again, this dagger will go straight through your heart."

Gregory shrieked. "Okay, okay, I got it! Let go of me already!" It was only then that Ross pulled back the dagger and headed into the nearby bedroom

Gregory was still in shock, slumped on the couch, clutching his chest and gasping for air, wondering. 'Is this guy insane? He's definitely insane! Thank goodness he didn't mess up my flawless, delicate, baby-smooth face.
