Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 272

Naomi was only firm on her principles. This had nothing to do with anything else.

Olivia snickered at how calm Naomi looked. She looked at Connor, then at Charles, before looking at everyone looking at her reproachfully. She laughed even louder.

"And what if I don't apologize? What are you going to do then, Naomi?" Olivia was not one bit afraid. It was as if anything Naomi did was pointless.

Naomi blinked and said, "I'll call the cops."

Olivia narrowed her gaze.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

"The words you said to me and the things you've done to me just now constitute harm. I can call the cops," said Naomi. "If you don't apologize, Ms. Carver, we can only take it to the police station." Gone was Olivia's giggle, replaced by a frosty expression.

She looked at Naomi, trying to see if there was any truth to what she said or perhaps she was looking for something else.

A few seconds later, Olivia smiled. "Go ahead, then. Best if you call the cops now."

She looked at Naomi smugly before leaving.

Seeing this, Naomi took out her phone and dialed the cops immediately. Soon, her call was answered. "Hello, please connect me to the police station.

Olivia froze at this, but only for a second. Then, she left.

Naomi watched Olivia leave as she continued to tell the police officers of the situation.

"We'll be right over soon," replied one of the officers.

"Alright, thank you."

By the time Naomi hung up the call, Olivia had already left.

Connor watched as Olivia left before turning to Naomi.

Naomi put down her phone and said to Charles, "I'm guessing we won't be able to have our dinner tonight. I'm sorry."

Charles smiled and shook his head. "It's fine. What you did is right." He did not expect that she would deal with this so calmly, not to mention how great she handled the situation.

At that moment, he no longer cared about the dinner anymore. Whether they ate the dish or not was not important anymore. The most important thing was that he was there for her at times like these. That was enough.

Naomi smiled.

looked at them both before leaving. He mused to himself, 'Well, Scott, I think I know why you no longer give in to Olivia. You're starting to worry, aren't you?'

Connor smiled in relief. It was great that a good friend of his had someone he truly liked. He hoped for all the happiness for Scott.

The police officers soon arrived.

They took surveillance footage from the restaurant and understood the entire incident. Then, they headed with Naomi and Charles down to the station to take their statements.

Naomi told the police of her request before leaving with Charles.

To Naomi, some battles were worth surrendering, but some were not. She had already given in once the last time. This time, she was no longer going to admit defeat.

She had to do this, or Olivia would do worse things which would affect her family. She could not let Olivia do that.

After coming out of the police station, Charles looked at his watch before saying, "Shall we...go and grab a small bite? Street food or something?"

Naomi was still thinking about going to another restaurant to have a meal. When she heard Charles' suggestion, she paused for a while before nodding. "Sure."

Charles smiled. "I did a little searching online and found a famous street with lots of street food in Herland. Let me take you there."

Naomi smiled. "Alright."

They hailed a taxi and left.

At that moment, inside the black Maybach parked in the parking lot opposite the police station...
