Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

Chapter 274

After sending his assistant away, Daniel called Brad, "You need to be firmer with your sister. If necessary, lock her up for a few days to let her cool off."

Brad agreed with Daniel's advice.

After hanging up, he didn't approach Nadine. Instead, he had a maid help him into his coat before heading to the room Gigi was locked up in.

If Gigi still refused to apologize, he wouldn't mind confining her for a few more days.

With Daniel's support, Brad felt more confident as he strode toward the hall.

When he arrived, he found Gigi sobbing in Evelyn's arms while cursing Nadine out.

Her language was extremely vulgar.noveldrama

Brad stood outside the door while listening to Gigi curse inside. He was struck by how unfamiliar Gigi's behavior seemed. It was as if she wasn't his sister at all but someone else entirely.

Yet, there was no mistake. It was Gigi inside.

Her appearance and voice were unmistakable.

Evelyn was trying to comfort the crying Gigi while joining in on the insults.

As the curses grew more offensive, Brad couldn't take it any longer. He kicked the door open and walked into the hall.

His expression was dark and menacing.

Gigi was taken aback by Brad's sudden appearance. Seeing his grim expression, she froze.

Her harsh words got cut off as she stared at him, too terrified to speak further.

Evelyn was also startled. But unlike Gigi, she wasn't afraid of Brad.

She continued to hold Gigi and patted her back to calm her down.

Gigi's fear of Brad was deep-rooted.

When she saw his dark and intimidating face, her anger immediately dissipated. She stopped cursing at Nadine and could only sob softly.

Brad didn't say anything upon entering. He simply stood before the mother and daughter, his eyes deep and unreadable.

The coldness emanating from him was chilling.

Seeing Gigi huddled in her arms like a frightened cat, Evelyn was heartbroken. She couldn't help but complain to Brad, "Nadine isn't even a member of the Hamiltons. She's just an outsider. Is she really worth treating your sister this way? Or have you changed now that you have a wife? Have you forgotten your family for Nadine? Do you care more about her than your own sister?"

She felt deeply wronged.

She had raised Brad like her own son, yet now he chose to defend an outsider instead of listening to her.

Besides, Daniel, who had been by her side for years, not only failed to comfort her but also criticized her for not managing Gigi well. She felt unappreciated, despite her hard work for the family. She didn't understand how they both ended up so dismissive of her.

Both of Brad's hands were injured and wrapped in white bandages. They looked stark against his black coat.

The bloodstains on the bandages were glaringly obvious.

He lazily lifted his gaze and swept his cold eyes over the aggrieved Evelyn. He then said in a low voice "It doesn't matter whether Nadine is an outsider or not. Let me ask you this, if Nadine had been the me holding the knife against Gigi, would you still be saying the same thing?"

Evelyn instantly raged. "She wouldn't dare! If Nadine did that to Gigi, I'd make sure she paid for it!"

Brad snorted, his eyes growing

indifferent. "Mom, you're quite the

hypocrite. It's fine if Gigi injures

Nadine, but if Nadine does the same to Gigi, she should be punished. Don't you think you're being unreasonable? Also, have you even asked me how I'm doing since I got injured?"
