Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

As Jean watched Brad's figure leave the ward, she seethed with anger. She threw anything she could find that was within reach while cursing under her breath.

"Bitch! I'm going to make sure you pay for this!"

Once she was certain Brad had left and wouldn't be coming back, she called Gigi. "Gigi, it's the weekend. Why aren't you coming to visit me in the hospital?

"Oh, don't listen to Brad. I'm fine. If you come over to visit, I'll definitely be able to hang out with you. I'll sneak out the back door so no one will notice."

On the other end of the phone, Gigi agreed eagerly. An hour later, she arrived at Jean's ward with the latest LV handbag.

Upon seeing Jean, she was as excited as a child. She rushed over to hug her. "Jean, you don't know how much I missed you, but Brad said you weren't feeling well and wouldn't let me come over. If it weren't for him, I'd have been here much

sooner.

"Oh, and how's your body? Are you really allowed to go out? Will Brad kill me if he finds out I took you out? Will he cut off my allowance? You don't know how fierce Brad can be. He's been so harsh with me lately. I'm so scared."

Jean gave Gigi a hug and playfully pinched her cheek. "Oh, you're such a worrywart. Which question should I answer first?"

Gigi gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry, Jean. I should have asked them one by one. Anyway, you can answer them all at once."

With Gigi's help, Jean got down from the bed and affectionately tapped her nose. "You clever little thing.

"How should I put this? My condition isn't too bad. I should be fine as long as I keep up with the dialysis. Once we find a suitable kidney donor, I can have the transplant. Brad says there's a good chance we'll find one soon.

"The doctor also said I shouldn't stay cooped up in the ward all the time. It's good for me to go outside occasionally and get some fresh air."

Lynn chimed in, "The doctor did say that, Ms. Hamilton. I'll bring the wheelchair, and we can take Ms. Sawyer out for a stroll."

Soon, Jean was out of the ward, fully dressed and bundled up. It had been a long time since she had seen the sun. She wore sunglasses and smiled broadly as she soaked in the bright sunlight.

Gigi wanted a milkshake, so she sent Lynn to get one.

While Lynn was away, Jean asked Gigi, "Gigi, didn't you say Brad doesn't like Nadine or that little bastard at all?

"That kid called this morning, and Brad went back home right after that. Doesn't that mean he likes that kid?"

"Jean, I swear, Brad hasn't shown any interest in that kid in the six years he's been married to Nadine. Do you think he would like him? Also, there's something else I haven't told anyone. I'll just tell you."

She glanced around to make sure no one else could overhear, then leaned in close to Jean and whispered, "My mom and I strongly suspect that Sean isn't Brad's biological child. Nadine may have cheated on Brad."

Jean was flabbergasted. Her mouth hung open in shock. For a long time, she

didn't say a word, looking as if she had been struck by lightning.

Upon seeing Jean's astonishment, Gigi gave her a nudge and added, "But I'm not entirely sure if this information is accurate, so don't go spreading it around. You knowe` Brad's temper. If the media gets wind of this, he might break my legs."

Jean snapped back to reality and assured the somewhat nervous Gigi, "Don't

worry, Gigi. I won't say a word to anyone."
