Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

Chapter 234

Brad had no idea what had happened. It wasn't until he was about to pay that he realized he didn't have his phone. After paying with cash instead, he hurried back to the ward.

When he saw his phone lying peacefully on the bed, he sighed in relief. He placed the box of ravioli on the table and kindly opened the container for Jean before pushing it toward her.

Seeing Jean not eating and staring at him, he couldn't help but ask, "Don't you want to eat?"

Jean kept her eyes fixed on him. "Brad, you're really hot. You know, I used to be smitten by your looks. No matter how angry I was, one look at your face would calm me down.

"Now that you're not mine anymore, I can't get mad at you. I just want to look at you as much as I can."

She carefully observed Brad's expression, relieved to see that he hadn't noticed her earlier actions. Brad picked up his phone and discreetly checked his missed calls.noveldrama

Most were text messages from Cameron about work. Since he left Phoenix Villa last night, Nadine hadn't called him once.

He knew she had blocked him on her phone, but the house phone didn't have such a function. If she wanted to reach him, she could have. But she didn't. She didn't care about him.

Brad was so angry he could hardly stand it. He wanted nothing more than to storm over to Nadine and humiliate that man named Jack right in front of her. Unfortunately, all he had was a name. He had no idea who the man actually was.

Just then, Cameron sent another message.

"Mr. Hamilton, the old lady and her granddaughter you asked me to investigate are not related to Mrs. Hamilton by blood. The old lady has diabetes and cataracts, and she was hospitalized after a sudden stroke. Mrs. Hamilton has been taking special care of her."

Brad read the message quickly and exited the chat. Though he said nothing and did nothing, Jean sensed his distraction.

Eating her ravioli, she asked, "What's wrong, Brad? Is something bothering you?"

Brad shook his head and forced a smile. "It's nothing, just work stuff."

Jean immediately responded thoughtfully, If it's work, let Cameron handle it. But remember it's the weekend today. Cameron has a life too, you know. Make sure to give him some extra pay for working on his day off."

Brad forced a smile and said nothing more. No matter what Jean said to him afterward, he remained distant and distracted.

At Phoenix Villa, Nadine entered the kitchen and realized she had forgotten her apron. She went back out to get it and overheard Sean making a phone call.

At first, Sean had his back to her. When he heard her footsteps, he turned to face her. Seeing Nadine walking toward him, he panicked. He stood there, staring blankly at

Nadine with a pale face.

When Nadine saw his unusual expression, she thought he was sick. She kneeled

down and touched his forehead.

"Sean, what's wrong? You look so pale. Are you feeling sick?"

Sean shook his head but avoided looking her in the eye. "No."
