Pampered By The Ruthless Underground Boss

Chapter 351

Chapter 351:noveldrama

This life-saving skill, learned under harsh circumstances, was something Khloe had mastered completely.

Charlotte had already made up her mind that Khloe was simply refusing to back down out of pride. For the first time, she wondered if teaming up with Khloe had been a mistake. Her expression turned serious as she spoke. “Khloe! If you go ahead with modifying this robot and it fails, then I’m sorry, but I’ll have to leave your team. I can’t follow a leader who lets emotions cloud their judgment.”

Sylvie shot back angrily, “Charlotte, how can you say something like that?”

“Don’t try to convince me,” Charlotte replied coldly. “I know Khloe has helped us, but I’m here to achieve my own goals, not just to benefit from what she offers. If she can’t help me reach my goal, there’s no reason for me to stay.” Her voice was frosty as she fixed her cold gaze on Khloe. “So, are you still going ahead with the modification?”

Khloe’s eyes lifted slightly, locking with Charlotte’s without a trace of panic or anger. She spoke with quiet confidence. “Charlotte, I understand your concerns, but trust me, this isn’t a rash decision. Give me ten minutes, and I’ll prove I can do it.”

“Alright, I’ll give you ten minutes. But if you fail, I’ll withdraw from the competition.”

Khloe’s resolve remained unshaken, even as Charlotte’s eyes betrayed a hint of disappointment. Despite her doubts, Charlotte allowed Khloe a ten-minute window, out of respect for their history together. Still, Charlotte had silently resigned herself to the belief that Khloe’s efforts would end in failure.

Aware of Charlotte’s skepticism, Khloe stayed calm and focused. She gathered her tools and began working on the robotic dog’s claws, fine-tuning them for the delicate task of pharmaceutical preparation.

With practiced ease, Khloe dismantled the robot’s claws, her fingers moving with the precision of a master pianist performing a challenging symphony. Her screwdriver twirled deftly, each turn exact, leaving a heap of disassembled parts on the table within moments.

What had once been a complicated mechanical structure now seemed as simple as a child’s puzzle in her capable hands.

Charlotte and Sylvie watched, wide-eyed, as if they were witnessing a magic trick unfold before them.

Sylvie gawked in disbelief, pulling on Charlotte’s sleeve as she exclaimed, “Is this real? Khloe’s really this talented? Oh my goodness, how is this even humanly possible?”

Charlotte, just as stunned, began to regret her earlier doubts, realizing she might have judged Khloe too hastily.

Yet, Khloe wasn’t done. After dismantling the claws, she began reassembling them, incorporating parts from her toolbox along with various pieces of laboratory equipment from the workbench.

The plain robotic claws began to transform in Khloe’s hands, resembling a sculptor crafting an exquisite piece from raw stone. With each calculated move, the claws took on a spider-like form. The tips were outfitted with intricate barbs—some mimicked suction cups, others resembled pipettes, and a few even looked like stirring rods—each adorned with tiny, detailed scales.

The design, though lacking in elegance, was undeniably practical. Sylvie and Charlotte quickly grasped its potential advantages for the intricate process of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Precision was crucial in pharmaceutical preparation, and these unusual robotic claws seemed perfectly suited for accurate measuring and mixing. Still, the real test was whether the robot could execute its tasks as programmed.

Khloe answered that question by placing a test tube filled with purified reagent into the setup.

Having pre-programmed the robot, she pressed the start button without hesitation. The modified device sprang to life, its mechanical arms gliding with the fluid precision of a seasoned performer.

The spider-like claw latched onto the reagent tube with pinpoint accuracy, its suction-cup-like barbs keeping it securely in place. Next, the pipette-like barbs extracted the exact amount of reagent required, their tiny scales guaranteeing absolute precision.
