Never Blinded by Love (Linda and Wilson)

Lexi visibly brightened up when she was with Linda and Samson.

She enjoyed holding their hands and strolling around the neighborhood, squatting by the frozen river as she asked, "Why isn't the water moving? Are the fish inside going to die?"

James had taught Lexi to speak and recognize words early on, so she spoke much more clearly than children her age.

Samson explained to her, "The water is frozen because it's cold, but the water underneath the ice is still flowing, so the fish haven't died."

Linda, who was standing a short distance away, was on the phone, discussing work.

Since Lexi was there, both she and Samson were working from home.

At that moment, a neighbor walked out and seemed surprised to see Samson, as he hadn't seen him around before.

"Hi, Mr. Lynch."

Samson immediately picked Lexi up and shielded her face from view when he heard someone calling him.

"Hi! Is there something you need?"

While speaking, he kept Lexi's head buried in his shoulder.

"No, no! I'm your neighbor who lives in the apartment across from yours.

Samson nodded. "Okay."

"Is this your child?" The neighbor tried to get a clear look at the child Samson was holding, but to no avail. Samson said, "Yes. She's still small. I don't want her to be seen by others. It's not good for her development"

The neighbor agreed, "Yes. Children should grow up in a simple environment."

Once Linda finished her call, she saw Samson holding Lexi and talking to a man, and she walked over.

The neighbor noticed her, too.

He seemed to say on purpose, "Baby, is that pretty lady your mom?"

Samson gave him a cold look.

At that moment, Lexi spoke up, "That's my mommy. Isn't she pretty?"

The neighbor seemed to think he had discovered a big secret and saw an opportunity.

"Are you trying to use this to threaten us?" Linda saw through his intentions.

"Ms. Felix, that's not what I meant.

"You can try exposing the child. Let's see who ends up worse off."

Samson tightened his hold on Lexi and left with Linda

Back at home, Lexi asked curiously, "Daddy, why didn't you let me see that man earlier?"

Children's worlds were simple. They didn't understand all the scheming and potential dangers. Chapter 106

"Because that man was very, very ugly. We didn't want Lexi to see such an ugly person."

Samson made up an excuse, while Linda went inside to prepare Lexi's milk.

Even though Lexi was weaned, she still had a bottle of milk each day.

It was still too early for dinner. So, the milk would fill her up just right.Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

After drinking her milk tonight, she wouldn't fuss about it and would sleep well.

Lexi tilted her head. "Oh, I see."

Linda brought over a bottle with Hello Kitty on it. Lexi reached out eagerly for it.

"Mommy is giving you milk. What do you say to Mommy?"

"Thank you, Mommy!"

Lexi eagerly took the bottle and began drinking.

Samson and Linda looked at her adorable appearance, exchanging a glance that conveyed their shared thoughts.
