Never Again Yours (Isadora and Magnus)

Chapter 493

A little after five in the afternoon.

Isadora was sorting through paperwork when she heard a knock at her office door.

The door swung open and in strode Nanette, looking every bit the confident, sharp-dressed woman she was.

Isadora caught sight of her and smiled. "Aren't you supposed to be on set these days? How do you have time to see me?"

Nanette thought, It's not like I volunteered for this.

She simply said, "I'm here to take you somewhere special."

Isadora hesitated. "But I still have two more market meetings left today."

"You can reschedule those," Nanette insisted, grinning. "This is about something much more important-your life's big moment."

My life's big moment? Isadora looked genuinely puzzled.

Seeing that Isadora was still frozen in her chair, Nanette marched over and gently

but firmly pulled her up. Steering her toward the door, she called over her shoulder, "Come on, don't overthink it. It's a huge surprise!"

In the car.

Isadora sat in the passenger seat, watching Nanette drive with focused determination.

Curiosity got the better of her. "You're being so mysterious. What's going on?"

Nanette just smirked, "No spoilers. You'll find out soon."

Realizing she wouldn't get any answers, Isadora took out her phone and sent a quick voice message to her assistant, instructing her to hold off on those documents until tomorrow. As for the two remaining meetings, she told her general manager to step in for her—he'd have to get used to running things himself eventually.

Her assistant replied almost instantly: All set.

With everything squared away, Isadora relaxed into her seat, letting herself enjoy the ride.

Outside, the last rays of sunlight bathed the city in gold as Nanette's car glided smoothly down the main avenue, then turned off onto a quieter road.

Isadora glanced out the window at the rows of plane trees reflected in the glassy storefronts. Something felt off.

This road... wasn't this the way to the ISA Grandeur Hotel?

Before she could piece it together, something extraordinary happened.

Plain, gray high-rises suddenly burst into color as if someone had waved a magic wand. Neon lights flickered to life, spelling out bold,

unmistakable words across the buildings: "Marry me, Isadora!"

It looked like something straight out of a movie-unreal, breathtaking.

The car didn't speed up or slow down, just kept cruising steadily through the dazzling spectacle.

Isadora stared in disbelief, watching her name light up again and again in the swirling neon display outside. Each time she saw it, her heart skipped a beat. Could this really be for her?

She could only think of one person with the power to pull off something like this: Victor.

Her voice trembled as she tried to speak. "Nanette, I...”

Nanette just laughed. "Isa, we're here."

The car rolled to a gentle stop in front of the ISA Grandeur Hotel.

The entrance was awash with a sea of flowers-roses, peonies, climbing vines-

all woven into a breathtaking floral display that stretched as far as the eye could

see.

And above it all, the hotel's own

lights blazed even brighter. From the

topmost floor, neon letters

cascaded down the side of the. building like a waterfall: "Marryme!" The whole message sparkled against the twilight, lighting up the city's skyline.

With the hotel lit up like this, it was impossible not to draw a crowd.noveldrama

People thronged around the entrance, snapping photos and filming the scene with their phones, awestruck by the dazzling spectacle.

Security guards had formed a perimeter to keep order as the crowd buzzed with excitement.

Nanette got out, gave Isadora a reassuring smile, and gently nudged her forward. "Go on, Isadora."

Not far away, Victor stood waiting.

He looked taller than ever in an immaculate white suit he'd never worn before, a bouquet of lavender cradled in his arms-the pale purple blooms perfectly complementing the crisp white of his jacket. There was something regal about him, untouchable.

The moment Isadora appeared, Victor began to walk toward her, each step measured and sure.

Suddenly, the sky above them lit up.

Drones swarmed into formation, weaving themselves into a massive, glowing

heart, and in the center-Isadora's name shimmered in lights.

The crowd erupted in cheers and delighted gasps.

"Oh my god, this is so romantic! Who is this guy? He must be loaded-he just lit

up half of Capitolion for a proposal!"
