MY ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR ARROGANT

Amelia pulled off the duvet from her body she had been waiting for sometime for Liam to return back to the room but it seemed Jane’s disappearance was quite difficult to handle.

She came down from the bed and went around to search for him. She gave up the search and returned back to the room.

Her phone on the bedside table rang out, she took a glance at the unknown number and frowned. “Who could this be?”

She swiped the answer button and remained quiet. The other end was also quiet, Amelia rose up back to her feet and walked towards the large window.

“Hello who am I unto?”

A loud laughter resonated from the other end of the phone.

“Jane!”

“Wow! not bad, you still know what my laughter sounds like”

“Where are you? and how did you escape the asylum? answer me!” Amelia barked angrily at the other end.

“Oh be quiet! do you think I will give my location to you? well yeah eventually, but that will be as soon as I wipe you and your husband off the face of the earth!”

Amelia paced around gnashing her teeth in anger, if this maniac was let loose she will create a lot of mess.

“By now I thought you would have given up, aren’t you tired of loosing to me every now and then? I was such a fool to be lenient on you by sending you to an asylum, I should have come up with a more harsher punishment for you”

Jane clicked her tongue, she could feel the restlessness that was starting to rise in Amelia’s tone.

“Come on bestie there’s no need to regret now the deed has been done, now all you need to do is to wait for my first attack, I can promise you that you won’t see it coming, enjoy your honeymoon dear” Jane said mockingly and ended the call.

Amelia’s heart skipped a beat, she has been a victim to one of Jane’s vicious schemes in the past and she wasn’t ready to go through all that again..

Fred opened the door to Allison’s ward, for days now she has been crying her eyes out and refused anyone that tried to come into the ward.

When he entered the room his eyes fell upon her sleeping face. He sighed and sat down beside her on the bed.

He took her hand that was neatly wrapped with a white neat bandage. “Ally”

He called out softly and began stroking her hair lovingly. “Didn’t I tell you that I will take care of everything? I promised to make Liam your life partner don’t you trust me anymore?”

Allison’s eyes snapped open, she sat up from the bed pulling Fred’s hands off her head.

“What are you doing here? didn’t I ask you not to come here?”

“Ally don’t be harsh on yourself, I told you countless times that I will make Liam all yours but yet…

Mrs Williams shut the door a little louder than normal. “And we are back at this again! stop giving her false hope, don’t you two get it? once Liam Grayson says no not even his grandfather has a word against him, move on with your life he is married already”

Allison threw her face to the other side avoiding her mum’s gaze. “And as always you fail to understand your own daughter’s feelings, are you really my mum?”

“Don’t try to disrespect me or else I will hit you so hard that you won’t be able to move out of this hospital bed for a long time”

She faced Fred “And you? is this the way to encourage her wrong doings? I’m waiting for that day to meet that actress one on one and thank her for teaching my two brainless children some manners”

“Mum that is enough for now! sometimes I feel as if you have a huge problem with us the least you could do is to support us” Fred cautioned only to receive a tight slap from his mum.

“Your father might be able to tolerate your tantrums but I can’t!, I hope this teaches you not to ever mess with the Grayson’s”

She yelled at them before leaving the ward, she might go nuts some day trying to reason with her children.

Fred turned to Allison and was about to speak “You can leave now I want to stay alone”

Liam came out of the room in search for Amelia, he dropped the small gift box on the dining table and peeped into the kitchen.

She was panting slightly while kneading a dough, he muffled a laugh when he saw flour on her face and hair.

He sneaked into the kitchen and hugged her from behind. “I can see you are upset with me but why are you venting your anger on the dough?”

Amelia ignored his question and continued with her cooking, of course she was mad at him he went out last night without telling her anything.

“Amelia please don’t be angry” he pleaded resting his head on her shoulder.

“So you noticed that I was upset? well you don’t have to tell me how sorry you are, I took my time to make this breakfast for you darling”

“When you say things like that I can’t help but feel worried because I know something is coming for me so that’s why I bought you something that you would really love”

He lifted her up in bridal style and went out of the kitchen. “Put me down Liam, no matter what you try to do I won’t forgive you so easily! hmph!”

Liam smiled and made her sit on the dining table, he took the gift box and brought it to her face, Amelia narrowed her eyes at him. “Are you trying to bribe me? well I won’t fall for it!”

Inside the velvet box nestled on a bed of black silk, was a delicate silver chain.

She took it out and a single diamond caught the light, and sent a dazzling sparkle across the room.

“I love it!”

She held the chain up to her neck, and as she was about to fasten the clasp Liam took it from her and helped her put it on. “I knew you would love it”

The diamond was cool against her skin, the weight of the chain was light, but the feeling of luxury was heavy.

“So am I forgiven?”

Amelia tapped her chin for a while “If you keep spoiling me with gifts like this I’m bound to be naughty”

Amelia chuckled and planted a brief kiss on his lips, she came down from the table with Liam’s support and returned to the kitchen.

Liam stared at her retreating back and let out a sigh. “I’m sorry but this is the only way to keep you safe” he whispered.
