MY ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR ARROGANT

Cecile held her luggage going to the front desk to check out from the hotel she had been staying for a while now.

When she got to the first desk, she handed over her keys to the receptionist. just when she was about to leave she spotted a guy and a lady entering the hotel.

“Is that Liam?”

She turned her face away until they both stood beside her.

“Mr Grayson please this way” The manager ushered them in.

Cecile sighed in relief when she saw it was a different person. “So much resemblance, who knows he might be a relative of the Grayson’s or perhaps his step brother”

Meanwhile Jane lowered her head to avoid being recognized by Cecile, She placed down her face cap and dark spectacles properly, she knew how curious Cecile was just like her daughter.

She came out of the hotel and to her surprise a car was already waiting for her.

“Ma’am we’ve been instructed by Mr Grayson to take you home”

“Alright!”

The guard took her baggage placing it in the other car behind them.

“My son in-law is so considerate unlike my daughter!”..

Amelia’s jaw dropped in awe as the car sped past the driveway which was lined up with matured trees and immaculately trimmed shrubs.

She gasped at the marbled fountain of a large bird with water pouring out of its beak.

She thought she had seen it all until the building itself appeared.

The roof was made of slate, with decorative gables and turrets. The exterior was made of a pale stone, with large windows adorned with intricate stained glass. The front of the mansion had a grand portico, with columns and a large double door.

The grounds was immaculately kept, with a sweeping driveway leading up to the mansion.

Liam couldn’t contain the feelings he felt as he watched her awe at every little thing that came in sight.

As soon as the car stopped she jumped out excitedly pulling Liam who unfortunately bumped his head against the car’s roof.

“Oops I’m so sorry”

Liam glared at her “Your excitement will definitely get you into trouble today”

Amelia shrugged and pulled him into the house, she just couldn’t wait to see the insides of this heaven.

Immediately she entered the front door, she was greeted with a sweeping staircase, made of polished wood and wrought iron railings.

The foyer was adorned with marble statues and a grand chandelier. And the floor was made of polished stone, with a large area rug in the center. It was like something out of a movie, luxurious and opulent.

“I love the decor! it’s beautiful!” Amelia squealed in excitement.

Liam sighed, today his eardrums was surely bound to rupture from her constant screams of excitement.

Her legs itched so much to climb the stairs that were really shinny and tempting. Before Liam could butt in any words he found himself running behind her on the staircase.

The view that came in front of her completely warmed her heart.

The view from the large windows was simply breathtaking. From this vantage point, you can see the entire valley below, with the town nestled in the middle.

In the distance, you can see the rolling hills covered in lush green grass, with clusters of trees dotting the landscape. On a clear day, you can even see the glistening blue waters of a lake in the distance.

As the sun sets, the sky turns a beautiful shade of pink and purple, with the stars twinkling overhead. It’s was a view that never gets old, no matter how many times you see it.

“Isn’t it beautiful?”

Amelia asked to receive a grunt from Liam, he couldn’t wait anymore to take this cuff off his wrists that was starting to hurt.

“We have to take this off come with me”

Amelia held his hand to stop him from leaving, “Liam don’t you think that mum did this for a reason? it is obvious she wants us to get along well”

Liam arched a brow “So?”

Amelia stared at him in unbelief, this wasn’t the response she was expecting to hear from him.

“So? do you want to keep fighting with me forever? if that’s what you want believe me I won’t get tired of it”

Liam released a breathe taking her into their supposed room.

Liam spotted the key on the bed and sighed in relief walking towards the bed.

“I guess that’s the key unlock it”

Liam inserted the key into the keyhole but it didn’t fit. “This isn’t the right key”

“So mum made a fool out of us maybe we are bound to remain this way until we return back home” Amelia cried out.

Liam pulled out his phone, he placed the phone on the bedside table as soon as the call went through.

“Wow you guys reached so fast” Brianna said wiggling her eyebrows.

“Mum this key is indeed useless just as you said earlier” Liam complained bitterly.

“Yeah mum you tricked us” Amelia added

Brianna shook her head in denial, this two didn’t get what she was trying to do. She could tell from their expression that they were frustrated.

“No dear I didn’t trick you two, I made this arrangement especially so you could enjoy some quality time together” Brianna explained.

“How are we supposed to enjoy ourselves if this is on our wrist?”

Brianna tapped her chin as if in deep thought, she turned towards the screen again and shrieked out. “There’s a mouse behind you!!”

Amelia jumped into Liam’s embrace out of fright, not those little monsters.

Liam held the big baby clutching onto him tightly, they heard two clicks from the cuff and watched it drop to the floor.

Liam and Amelia exchanged brief glanced of surprise and turned to Brianna who was grinning from ear to ear.

Amelia rubbed her wrist slightly, she bent down and picked the cuff from the floor.

Brianna nodded slowly to Amelia’s words. “Yes dear, that cuff doesn’t need a key”

Amelia pushed her hair behind her ears, she stared at the cuff then at Brianna.

“What do you mean mum? it doesn’t need a key?”

“Yes dear, it only gets stronger when you try to pull it apart but unlocks when you come close to each other”.

Liam pulled his ash colored polo in frustration, that was really unbelievable.

“So I have to go now, I think your mum is here, see you soon bye”
