MY ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR ARROGANT

Louisa clutched the baseball bat tightly walking slowly towards the living room with Amelia.

They both stopped on their tracks as soon as they saw the intruders. “you?” they both asked simultaneously.

Amelia and Louisa stared at each other in shock, Louisa pointed the bat to Dylan who was grinning at her shocked expression. “you! you broke into my home this late”.

“So it was you Mr Arrogant!” Amelia tilted her head to Dylan “and you accompanied him? just wait you’ll be the cops problem now”. She pulled out her phone.

Liam remained expressionless as she reported him to the cops.

Dylan snatched the bat out of Louisa’s hand and walked towards Amelia. “You completely misunderstood the situation give him a chance to speak” Dylan said taking away her phone and pulling Louisa out with him.

“Let me go! I can walk by myself” Louisa snapped at Dylan.

Amelia walked towards Liam “Why are you here? Don’t you think it’s too late to apologize?”

Liam rose to his feet overshadowing her with his height. “And what makes you think that I’ll apologize to you?”

Amelia’s jaw clenched “What? you arrogant brat!” she spat pushing him down to sit back on the sofa.

Liam took her wrist pulling her down to sit on his laps, he took out the pink note and gave it her.

Amelia saw the familiar note and got off his laps.

“You are one weird lady! read it again”..

Louisa rubbed her arm slightly taking in the city’s view from the rooftop. For some reasons there was an awkward silence between she and her boss.

Dylan’s grip on the railings tightened, he still didn’t know how to start a conversation with her, he caught sight of her rubbing her arms slightly and took it as an opportunity.

Since the night was chilly and she was also wearing a thin strap gown she was bound to get a cold.

He gently placed his coat on her “You shouldn’t wear clothes like this on a chilly night” he scolded gently.

Louisa looked down at the coat he draped on her and felt warm. She looked ahead avoiding his piercing gaze “Thank you”.

“Sometimes I get the feeling that you have something to me but you are hesitating”.

Dylan nodded at her words, he loosened his tie a bit and let out a breath.

“I was wondering if we could…….

Louisa’s heart skipped a bit on seeing Jake who appeared out of the blue.

Louisa let out an awkward smile and walked towards him, she completely forgot that she had plans with Jake later tonight.

Jake gripped the bouquet of flowers on his hands with a little more force than normal. He wasn’t sure why but whenever he sees this man around Louisa he feels threatened.

His eyes landed on the white coat draped on her shoulder which matched Dylan’s white pants. “So he was the reason you cancelled our plans?” Jake asked.

Louisa shook her head “No Jake I…

“Save it! you can finish up with him” He threw down the bouquet of red roses and stormed out in anger.

“jake! wait and listen to me” Louisa called out running after him.

Jake entered his car and glanced up to the rooftop to see Dylan holding her back from coming after him..

Amelia opened the note and read the first part “Look Liam did you really come here to infuriate me more?”.

Liam turned the paper around for her to read it clearly. Amelia’s brows furrowed as she stared at the paper dumbfounded.

“I thought you were a smart lady but I guess that I was wrong”.

Amelia sighed, she accepted that it was her fault “I really didn’t know that you wrote something else at the back”.

Liam scoffed at her words, “Now do you still think that I owe you an apology?”.

Amelia met his eyes that had a little glow in them “I’m sorry that I misunderstood”.

Liam woke up to an empty bed beside him in the morning, he knew she didn’t come back with him last night but a part of him still wished that she did.

He headed to the bathroom for a quick shower and came out, his eyes darted to the bed but it was empty.

He walked towards the wardrobe in search for an outfit to wear..

The maids jaw dropped when they saw their boss sitting on the dining table waiting for breakfast without being asked to.

They scurried to the kitchen to make a meal for him since the mother and daughter duo left yesterday.

The cooks served the meals on the long dining table bowing slightly.

Liam picked up his cutlery, he took a bite out of his fork and dropped his cutlery harshly on the marbled table.

“Don’t you all know how to make a simple meal? you are all fired! get out now!” He lashed out at them storming out of the house with his guards.

The butler turned to the head chef “you’ve been working here for years and you still don’t know what the young master prefers!” he scolded.

“But there was nothing wrong with the meal, I made sure it was to his taste”..

Louisa moved around the kitchen making a dish for her lazy friend who was glued to the bed like a leech right after Liam left last night.

She returned to the room where Amelia was, Amelia saw Louisa approaching and sat up on the bed. “I have never met any couple as arrogant as you and Mr Grayson! what if he didn’t tell you to come back home aren’t you his wife? you can go whenever you want”.

Amelia closed her eyes for some minutes and opened it again. “Louisa which side are you on? Liam is really a character and he needs to change his ways”.

“Amy!”

“It’s fine if you take his side, you always do anyway”. She shrugged.

Louisa sighed at Amelia’s childish behavior “I’m off to work and please try to patch things up with him”.

Louisa adviced and left the apartment, Amelia picked up her phone to check for missed calls but found none.

She let out a breath dialing his number, it rang for some time before it was answered.

There was a brief silence before Amelia chipped in “Hi, well…. I think that…. I forgot a few things in your house…. and I would like to take them” She stuttered biting her lips nervously.

Liam stroked his chin with a smirk “No I double checked and I found nothing that belongs to you in my room, it felt as if my life has returned back to how it used to be”.

Amelia’s heartbeat increased drastically, “You mean you like the way I’m no longer in your house?”.

“I didn’t ask you to leave neither will I ask you to come back, you made that decision yourself so it’s all up to you”..

“And cut!” The director said for the umpteenth time today, Amelia wasn’t really her best today everyone around could notice it.

Kelvin handed her a bottle of water which she accepted gulping a little. “Are you troubled? we’ve been acting a scene for almost an hour now”.

Amelia forced a smile at him, “I’m not just in the right mood for acting today”.

“Maybe an ice cream date will do” Kelvin suggested taking Amelia by her hand out of the set which didn’t miss a lady’s eyes who was covered in a black hoodie..

Liam’s phone vibrated, he pulled it out staring at the pictures that popped up on his phone.

“Are they really dating? I heard she went out with him a couple of times”

“I just wished it was true, they look so perfect together”.

Liam’s ears itched from the gossips his employees were whispering among themselves. “That’s enough!” he yelled at them.

He took large strides walking into the elevator. “Find me everything I need about that actor” he ordered his assistant tailing after him.
