Chapter 910
"This little bit of radiation is fine." Alice took the apple and looked at him, "Are you going to return tomorrow?"
William picked up his laptop and placed it on the cabinet at the side, then said coldly, "Why do you want to go back? It's only been a few days, and I didn't go to be with you since I was occupied."
"You are still going to be with me?" Alice' eyes widened in surprise. The apple was right beside her mouth but she just couldn't bite it.
"Touched now? You are allowed to be moved!"
With a condescending expression, William looked like he was doing her a great favor.
Alice sat on the bed. It seemed he deliberately diverted from the topic of what she said. She took a huge bite of the apple, thinking for a while, said, "Actually, we've been a lot of places. Are there more?"
"I still want to go another place."
William said in a very serious tone.
"Where?"
Alice asked with surprise as she had no idea where else he wanted to go.
"You'll know tomorrow. Eat the apple and go to sleep." William walked forward and rumpled her hair. Alice could not help but say, "I think Daniel is really worried. You can't just fool around with me now. We still have plenty of time, don't we?"
'We could take it slowly.'
Unless, to him, those sweetness was only temporary.
"Daniel is an old man who gets anxious easily. His words doesn't count." William said in disdain, "Why should I give up the opportunity to be with you just for Lancaster? Alice, don't overthink about it!"
Once again, he reassured her.
"Oh..."
Alice replied obediently and didn't say anything else.
"I'll take a shower. I'll be with you in a while." William turned around and walked towards the bathroom.
"Uh, okay."
Alice nodded. 'Tomorrow... So, he even planned out tomorrow's journey already?'
She looked down, then a faint smile appeared in her eyes but it quickly faded. It was strange. She clearly liked the feeling that William planed for tomorrow day by day, but she also felt a little worried from the bottom of her heart as if such nice time would not last for long.
Every time she said that she wanted to go back, William would interrupt her.
Sometimes she really wanted to be smarter, as she really couldn't tell if anything was wrong from his tone. All she had was her intuition.
Suddenly, she felt the child move within her.
Alice caressed her swollen belly, smiling as she said, "Baby, don you think that I'm just thinking too much as well?"
The baby calmed down immediately.
Fine.
She tried not to overthink, to just have fun with him. She was pregnant, and the most important thing was to stay in a good mood.
Well, that's it.
Alice tried her best to convince herself again. Then she began to nibble on the apple in her hands and picked up a magazine on the side. She got sleepy as she flipped through the magazine.
When William came out from the bathroom, he saw Alice had fallen asleep against the headboard and the magazine lay on the bed. Although she slept deeply, one of her hands hung beside the bed with half an apple in the hand.
She got sleepy more easily and frequently lately.
William wiped his hair and then threw the towel to the side. He walked forward and took the apple from Alice's hand, then he embraced her and laid down.
Alice mumbled. She turned around in his embrace to found the most comfortable spot, and pulled his arm under her head as a pillow.
William was stiff. He could not move in case he had waken Alice. So he kept bent and still embraced her.
Alice rubbed against his arm. Her eyelashes fluttered, and her soft lips slightly pouted.noveldrama
How cute his woman was.
William looked at Alice. He could see nothing but her face. Only after watching Alice for a long while did he finally free a hand to cover her with the blanket.
The other hand under her head gradually became numb.
William carefully pulled one of his hands back, while Alice rubbed against his arm, distracting him.
"Okay, okay, okay. I'm not moving. Stop moving."
William sounds like he was defeated by Alice and just wanted to spoil her girl. He did not try to withdraw his hand again.
Alice quieted down and fell asleep on his arm as though she had heard his words. William could only bend over and stand there, and his hands were so numb that even his shoulders hurt.
He reached out and rubbed his shoulders and felt numbness in his entire arm.
The light was bright.
William turned his head and found the position of light switch. Then, he slowly raised his leg and used the tip of his shoe to tap on the switch and turned off the light, leaving only a small lamp.
The lights dimmed.
William rubbed his shoulders as he sat down beside her. The remaining space between Alice and the side of the bed was only 20cm, which was not enough for William to sleep. So when he lay down, half of his body was out the bed. As soon as he found a suitable position to lie down, Alice suddenly became dissatisfied with her position again. She once again crawled into his embrace, forcing him to almost fall off the bed. He could only stabilize his body by leaning one of his long legs against a chair.
Alice just wanted to throw herself into his embrace.
This woman was never like this.
"Alice, you are really a torturer tonight!"
William gritted his teeth and glared at the woman in his embrace, but he still allowed her to lean on him without moving an inch. He used the numb arm to wrap around her tightly and the other arm to pull up the quilt to cover her.
He understood that pregnant women need high-quality sleep.
But very soon, even William, a body-builder, felt various kinds of pain.
His hand hurt.
His leg hurt.
His waist hurt.
His back hurt.
Every parts of his body was in pain while the woman in his embrace was sleeping soundly. So he had no intent to adjust his sleeping position.
William endured the pain as he looked at Alice who was lying in his arms. There were untold feelings emerging in his dark eyes gradually.
After a long while, William lowered his head and kissed her hair with his thin lips. When touched Alice's hair, his lips trembled for a second.
"Alice, I really want to always be with you, really."
In the quiet room, his voice quickly faded into the air. No one heard him.
The curtains were drawn back, and sunlight slowly streamed through the windows, like a naughty child crawling towards the bed. Then the sunlight illuminated the patterns on the quilt.
Alice opened her eyes in a daze.
Oh, so many stars in the sunlight. So beautiful.
A smile appeared on her sleepy face as she rubbed her eyes seeing sunshine shone brightly and the stars swayed in wind, reflecting colorful lights. It was really beautiful.
William Cullen, quickly look, there were stars in the sunlight.
In a daze, Alice suddenly realized what she had seen. She opened her eyes in shock and sat up from the bed. Then she saw that many transparent lines were drawn from the door of the balcony to the end of the bed. On those lines, countless paper cranes were gently swaying in the wind, as if they were flying high up in the sky.
Those paper cranes were all made from colored cellophane. When the sun shone on them, they looked like shining stars in the day. It was a breathtakingly beautiful
scene.
Alice looked at this scene in shock. She could not believe her eyes, and buried her face in her hands, almost screaming.
Although she had played with colored cellophane for so many years but she never knew that paper cranes made from colored cellophane could be so much pretty.
It was so beautiful.
Alice was completely captivated by this scene. She shouted excitedly, "William! William!"
"What's wrong?"
William walked out of the bathroom. After washing himself up, he felt completely refreshed, despite the dark circles under his eyes as well as his uncomfortable walking posture.
Alice pointed at the paper cranes in front of them and looked at him, "You did this?
Did you?"
"Of course." William raised his eyes and looked at the paper cranes lazily, "Who else would do this?"
Could it be that she thought Patrick had done it?
Ridiculous.
Alice screamed in excitement. She stood up from the bed and walked to the side
of the bed to look at him, "Why you do this? Why?"
Colored cellophane was previously her favorite. She liked to use it to see the sunlight outside, but she didn't know that the colored cellophane could become stars in the sunlight.
So in this way, she could see stars all day and night. How did this idea come upon
him?
"I return it to you after burning those colored cellophane. Is this strange?" Seeing her so excited, William could not help feeling complacent. Even when he spoke, he slightly raised his chin, and his expression seemed to say, "Ignorant people, allow you to be moved."
Alice was truly shocked. Receiving such a pleasant surprise early in the morning was unbearable for her. No matter how arrogant William was, she still was moved and her eyes even misted over. She threw herself into William Cullen's embrace after getting off the bed. She felt an impulse to cry, "Were you not asleep last night, just folding those paper cranes for me?"
How could he be so smart?
How could he be so good to her?
William was hit to take a step back as Alice rush into his hug, then his waist and back started to feel sore again. He reached out and pressed on his waist, and said in a deep voice, "How could I, William Cullen, fold paper cranes? My bodyguards did this."
Folding such a small piece of candy paper into a paper crane, his hands would be crippled as well as his eyes.
"Uh, so you didn't personally fold it?"
Alice immediately broke free from his embrace, and the tears in her eyes were forced back. She wrapped her arms around herself, and turned around to pull back the quilt, "Ah, it's so cold, let me lie down for a while longer." William brought up short, staring at her, "Alice, how could you do this!"
Alice blinked, "No, I really like your gift which make me can see stars in the sunlight."
'Mm, I really do.'
"You dare to take back the tears you shed for me?"
William glared at her and growled. Did she think he was blind? As soon as she
knew that he wasn't the one who folded these paper cranes, she decisively left his
hug. There wasn't even a hint of moisture in her eyes.
How could she did this to me?
Alice laughed perfunctorily as she rubbed her eyes, "I thought you spent an entire night folding so many paper cranes for me, it turns out that I'm wrong."
So this was not enough to move her to tears?
Didn't those bodyguards work for him and follow his order to finish these paper cranes? He paid the salary, so these origami cranes should be attributed to him!
What do you think?
