My Gentle Wife is a Real Divine Being

Chapter 711

Chapter 711

“Why did you stop me from teaching Shelia a lesson?Erica said, unable to contain her frustration.

With Marion’s influence in Seamar City, even if they had to face off against Juan, they wouldn’t lose a step.

It was clear to everyone present that Shelia had deliberately tried to outshine Debra.

“Did you notice the fabric she picked?”

“Satin?

“And the style?”

“A mermaid dress.”

Erica paused, finally catching on.

Shelia had picked the same style as Debra, but the fabric she chose was different.

Erica mused, “And she wants to bedazzle the whole thing with rhinestones. My goodness! I can’t even imagine what it’ll look like.”

Debra grinned, “I need you to do me a favor. Talk to the designer and make sure they follow Shelia’s instructions. I’ll cover the cost.”

Erica gave her a thumbs up. “Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.”

The engagement party was just three days away, and given the tight deadline, there would be no time to fix anything if Shelia’s dress ended up a disaster. If she wasn’t prepared with a backup dress, she would be a spectacle at the party.

Debra chuckled inwardly, knowing that Shelia wasn’t familiar with clothing design.

While some high–end designer brands did create beautiful gowns, others were less than impressive. Shelia, who was not particularly well–endowed, would struggle to carry off certain high–end designs. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

By the time of the engagement party, she would have spent a lot of money, only to make a fool of herself. After the party, it would be interesting to see what the always critical and image–conscious Melody would say about her.

Just then, Debra’s phone buzzed with a message from Chace. She read the text and raised an eyebrow. Erica, noticing her reaction, asked, “What happened?”

“Edgar hasn’t withdrawn from Seamar City,” Debra replied. “Seems his greed knows no bounds.”

His family was already on the verge of collapse, and yet Edgar still had his sights set on Seamar City’s markets. She couldn’t decide if it was sheer ambition or just plain foolishness.

But either way, it didn’t matter. In just a month, when Edgar would be forced to pay the first installment of his loan’s interest, Debra planned to witness his inevitable panic firsthand.

Debra returned to her apartment. With the engagement party just around the corner, social media had been buzzing non–stop. The live stream from the island had garnered massive attention, turning her and

Juan into an overnight celebrity couple with a dedicated following of fans. However, not everyone was happy when she and Marion announced their wedding plans shortly after the broadcast.

The comment sections were flooded with emotional fans.

[I thought the divorce agreement said they had six months left. I can’t believe these two are getting married separately.]

[I’m so obsessed with the couple. Can’t they just get back together already?]

[And they announced their separate engagements not long after the show. This is killing me.]

On the other hand, the Marion–Debra shippers were having their little celebration, and soon enough, the two fan groups were at each other’s throats.

Reading through the comments, Debra couldn’t help but shake her head in amusement.

One comment, which had quickly risen to the top of the thread, caught her eye. [Debra and Marion are a match made in heaven. Fight me if you disagree.]

She was almost certain that the comment came from Marion, hiding behind a fake account.
