My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 715

Joe’s expression remained unchanged.

When Gloria entered, the lingering scent of smoke greeted her. She was about to reprimand Joe, but seeing him on the phone with Skylar, she held her tongue.

After a brief conversation, Joe ended the call and turned to find Gloria glaring

at him.

“Skye is injured because of you, and now she’s alone at home recovering. Can’t you spend a little more time with her? Aren’t you worried she might resent you and leave one day?” Gloria was genuinely concerned.

She believed anyone who met Skylar would be charmed by her, especially given her stunning appearance. Even those who didn’t know her could easily be drawn in by her looks alone. Joe really was a constant source of worry.

Joe smirked slightly. “No one would dare covet my wife.”

“Don’t be so sure. You need to be more careful,” Gloria retorted with a huff.

She had once thought confidence was always a good thing, but now she realized that too much could border on arrogance.

Gloria straightened her expression and adjusted her demeanor. She added, Let’s go. People are waiting downstairs Something feels off this time, so be

cautious.”

Joe nodded solemnly. “Alright.”

Skylar slipped her phone back into her bag and headed toward the parking lot.

When she arrived in the afternoon, she parked near the museum because the library’s parking lot had no spaces. She had to walk through an underground passage to reach her car.

As she approached her car, someone blocked her path. A hand with perfectly manicured nails rested on the car door handle. “Is this the car he gave you?”

The woman looked to be in her late 20s. She had pale skin, a delicate oval face, and striking eyes that exuded elegance.

Her demeanor radiated a natural nobility When she looked at Skylar, her gaze was scrutinizing, as if from a position of superiority. NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

The tone of her question made it clear she knew Joe. Skylar’s expression remained cool and indifferent. “Please move.”

Vera Ruell’s face darkened instantly. “I know Joe. This car was a gift from me to him years ago. I didn’t expect he would pass it on to you.”

Earlier, she thought she might have been mistaken. But as she approached and saw the license plate, she realized she hadn’t been.

She had come to the museum to donate a few artifacts and didn’t expect to run into the woman Joe was keeping.

Over the years, Joe hadn’t been surrounded by many women. Those who tried to get close never fared well. But recently, rumors had reached her while she was abroad.

There was talk of a woman often seen with Joe. They dined together, attended auctions, and were even spotted at the mall.

A few days ago, someone sent her a photo of Joe and this woman on a date at the cinema. Even then, Vera had dismissed the rumors as baseless gossip- there were simply too many of them.

But she was stunned when she took a closer look at the photo two days ago. In the picture, Joe looked at Skylar with an expression that was gentle, almost tender, with a hint of undisguised affection.

It was the kind of look a man gave to a woman he genuinely cared about.

She immediately booked a flight back and planned to find an opportunity to meet Joe. She hadn’t expected to run into Skylar at the museum.

Seeing someone else driving the car she had gifted Joe felt like a stab in the heart. Joe really knew how to hurt people.

Skylar was caught off guard. The car she had nonchalantly chosen from the garage turned out to be a gift. Since her previous car had been totaled in an accident and she hadn’t yet found time to buy a new one, she had simply picked a low–key vehicle that matched her taste.
