My Fiance Ran Away On Our Wedding Day

Chapter 71

Chapter 71

Callum was cute and obedient.

They had been together for almost half a month, but now that they were separated, Anika felt that there was a gap in her heart.

Seeing that she was down, Zac paused for a moment and said softly, "Wait until the New Year.I'll bring you over to see him.If you want, you can stay with my aunt for a few days: Anika looked up at him and shook her head.”

She smiled and replied, "It's good that you'll have time to visit him. It's better not to live here so that your aunt doesn't see anything wrong here.’’

"What's wrong?"

Anika frowned slightly and looked at him with puzzled eyes.

"After all, we are not a real couple.’ ‘If we stayed in Sheena’s place, wouldn't we be exposed?’ She couldn't also shamelessly take advantage of him again if that happens.

Zac didn’t have anything to say.

She stayed silent after this.

For the past two days, she avoided him everywhere.

Not only was lunch not delivered, but also, she still wasn't home before he went to bed.

He only held his phone and waited for a reply every night.

Zac thought that she was bothered by the inexplicable scandal, so he inadvertently forwarded Fredericks's clarification to her.

However, he only received a question mark from her.

He had no other choice, but he didn't know how to ask for help.

He felt more aggrieved day after day.

Thinking of this, Zac let out a soft hum and sighed, "If you don't want to stay at home, you can stay at a hotel"

"Yes."

Anika nodded without saying anything.

After sending Callum off, Anika and Zac also welcomed the ‘honeymoon’ at the end of the month.

It wasn't until she got the ticket from Zac that Anika found out that the honeymoon trip was in Fiji.

Anika liked islands.

Fiji was the place she wanted to go.

She had even arranged a trip with her roommate when she was studying abroad, but in the end, she didn't make it.

After boarding the plane, Anika adjusted her seat and lay down to rest.

Sheena got Callum last night, and she endured the jet lag to chat with Callum for a while.

She got up early again to pack her bags.

She was sleepy at the moment.

Fortunately, there were still ten hours left on the long flight, and the seats in the first class were spacious and comfortable.

It allowed her to sleep comfortably.

However, just as she was lying down, the flight stewardess said "Sir, what drinks would you like?"

"Warm water.Thank you’’ The man replied succinctly.

Perhaps seeing Anika lying down with her eyes closed and asking Zac, the stewardess skipped her and turned around to return to the cabin in front of her.

After a while, the flight attendant walked over with a glass of water ...

"Sir, your warm water”

"Thank you."

"Yes, may I ask if you need to eat now?"

"No need"

They had booked a flight at 2:30 p.m.

and would have arrived early in the morning.

At this moment, they should only have some snacks and no dinner.

Anika hadn't fallen asleep yet.

Hearing the flight attendant's words, she frowned and slowly opened her eyes.

The woman in front of him wore a gentle smile, her eyes were shy as she looked at the man beside her.

She quickly understood that the stewardess's intentions weren't clean.

She silently glanced at the handsome man, and a flash of distraction appeared in her heart.

However, she, who also harbored malicious intentions, did not seem to have any position to stop others from attending to him.

Conscience told her this, but Anika could not ignore the unhappiness of that moment.

While suppressing it, it was also stirring her emotions.

"You're awake?"

Zac looked sideways, raised his eyebrows, and pursed his lips, "Didn't you get up with a hoarse throat? Drink some water and then go to sleep."

With that, he handed the water to Anika.

Seeing this, the flight attendant's smile froze on her face.

Probably because Anika hadn't spoken to Zac since boarding the plane, she didn't know that the two of them knew each other.

Anika suppressed her emotions and suddenly nodded.

She took the cup from the man's hand.

On their ring fingers was a wedding ring of the same style.

The flight attendant said an awkward farewell and left resentfully.

Ten hours later, the plane finally arrived at ND Airport.

Anika woke up in a daze and found a soft blanket covering her body. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

Her thoughts gradually returned, and she suddenly realized something.

Her gaze shifted downwards and landed on the hands of the two intersecting hands.

She was slightly stunned and hurriedly released her grip.

Then, she frowned with worry and thought to herself, ‘’Could it be that my evil thoughts were so strong that I didn't forget to take advantage of him in my sleep?” Zac glanced at her and pursed his lips.

There was no emotion on his face.

At four o'clock in the morning in Fiji, the two got off the plane and picked up their luggage.

After leaving the airport, he got in the car sent by the butler and arrived at the hotel.

After checking in, the wheatish-skinned young lady at the front desk smiled and handed the room card to Zac.

Then she turned to look at Anika with a warmness and said in English with some accent, "Oh yes.

Ma'am, there will be a bonfire party and fireworks display at the beach in front of the hotel the night after tomorrow.’ Anika did not expect the receptionist to remind her alone.

After thinking for a while, she probably saw that it was her birthday the day after tomorrow when she checked in.

So she smiled back, "Thank you."

Zac looked at her calmly, and the corner of his lips curled up, "Let's go.”

They booked a single ocean-view room, which was several hundred meters away.

They needed to take the hotel's sightseeing car to get there.

The waiter of the hotel pushed the luggage cart and followed behind the two of them.

When he got in the sightseeing car, Zac took the opportunity to hold her, but the latter quietly retracted his hand.

"What's the matter?"

The man’s eyebrows twitched slightly as he raised his eyebrows and looked at her.

Anika sighed and said gently, "This is a foreign country.I don't think we need to pretend to be close anymore. What do you think?"

Zac raised his eyebrows and then prolonged his tone, "Pretend to be close?"

Anika paused slightly when she saw his meaningful gaze.

However, she really wanted to get rid of her mentality of wanting to take advantage of him.

Ever since she boarded the plane, she had not figured out when this somewhat domineering mentality had appeared.

Thinking of this, she added earnestly, "Don't mind, I'm doing this for your good."

Zac was confused, "For my good?"

Anika nodded silently.

Zac did not ask her again.

The grievance in his heart surged out again.

When they got to the room, the waiter helped them put down their luggage and left right after.

It was only one room with two floors, and the balcony faced the sea not far away.

On the distant horizon, the sun was slightly sharp, and the dawn was pale.

The moist sea breeze brushed past his cheeks as if it had blown away a wisp of exhaustion.

After Anika finished looking at the living room, she walked to the bedroom on the second floor.

After looking around, she looked at the man on the sofa in the guest room with her eyebrows curled up.

"Why is there only one big bed?"

The man had taken off his thin jacket, put on his pajamas, and sat down leisurely.

Hearing this, he raised his eyebrows and replied casually, "Oh, Frederick only knows that we are going to have a honeymoon. So he booked a honeymoon room."

"Then how do we sleep?"

Zac glanced at her and said, "Go and rest.I'll sleep on the sofa."

Anika frowned slightly.

The man was tall and had long legs.

The sofa was too small for him to lie down.

"What, I can't let you sleep on the sofa, can I--"

The man curled his lips and said in an idle voice, "Are you willing to sleep beside me?"

Zac looked at her expression carefully.

She had been avoiding him these past few days.

All of a sudden, his original plan was flawed just like that.

He didn't dare to force her, but he couldn't do anything about it.

Facing the man's gaze, Anika was about to say something when she choked on her throat.

The two of them remained silent for a long time, but he still sighed and said in a clear voice, "It's getting late.Go to bed."

It was already one o'clock in the morning in the country.

Seeing that he had already taken out the thin blanket and laid down with his eyes closed, Anika paused for a moment and could only walk back to the bedroom next door.
