Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 68

Chapter 68

“What do you think?” Joshua retorted.

“I’ve said everything I need to say.” Cynthia got her answer, completely disappointed in Joshua. “It’s up to you to believe me

or not.”

“I’ll warn you one last time, don’t use these dirty tricks again.” Joshua was angry just thinking about what had happened before. “If you dare to go after Jayleen again, I won’t let you get away with it.”

Cynthia did not respond, treating his words as if they were nothing.

Joshua felt a build–up of frustration in his heart, seeing she was not taking him seriously.

How could someone be so shameless even after making a mistake?

“For the next few days, you’ll stay here. You’re not allowed to take a single step outside until we’ve taken the divorce certificate!” Joshua made it clear that he was putting her under house arrest.

After saying that, he called over twenty bodyguards and had them surround the entire villa.

Cynthia did not bother arguing. She was very adaptable, and after scanning her surroundings, she asked, “Where do I sleep?”

Joshua was exasperated. He had said so much, and all she had in mind was where she would sleep!

“Do you really think that you can do whatever you want just because my parents and grandfather dote on you?”

“Of course not.” Cynthia had already calmed down. “Old Man Neal already recognized me as his granddaughter.”

Joshua was speechless. How could she be so shameless?

“Remember to bring me a few sets of clean clothes. Also, buy some daily and nighttime sanitary pads. My period is coming,” Cynthia instructed him calmly.

Joshua was at a loss for words.

When he did not respond, Cynthia asked again, “Did you hear me?”

“I’m not your servant.”

“Then are you letting me out to buy them?”

“Keep on dreaming!”

The conversation ended on a sour note. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

Despite his reluctance, Joshua knew how much Old Man Neal cared for Cynthia, so he still ordered someone to prepare her

stuff.

Cynthia placed her belongings in the room where she used to live and took a shower. Then, she lay on the bed with only her phone in hand.

In truth, Cynthia had several ways to leave, such as jumping from the second floor or calling Joshua’s parents, Old Man Neal, or even Mitchell. However, she knew the consequences of such actions would be endless arguments with Joshua.

In the past twenty days, Cynthia and Joshua had already argued too many times, and she was exhausted from the constant drama. To have some peace, she decided not to cause any more trouble.

While contemplating, Cynthia thought of what had happened tonight, frowning. After some hesitation, she called Jimmy as some things needed to be looked into.

“Cynthia?” Jimmy answered the phone with a puzzled voice.

“Can you help me find out if Joshua has any good female friends or if someone likes him?” Cynthia revealed her suspicion. Jayleen’s car accident, her defamation, and Cynthia being targeted for an attack were all related, and she believed someone had planned these events.

Although the suspect in Jayleen’s accident was already caught, Cynthia’s intuition told her it was not that simple. She even suspected the same person orchestrated all three incidents, aiming to ruin her and Jayleen’s position in Joshua’s heart.

When Jayleen had her accident, the driver framed Cynthia, and Joshua might have already believed she was responsible if it was not for her rational response. Likewise, when Jayleen was defamed, the perpetrator aimed to make Joshua think that Jayleen was tainted, but they underestimated Joshua’s affection for her. As for the assault tonight, the attackers were hired to frame her in front of Joshua.

The purpose was probably to make Joshua dislike her.

As long as Cynthia and Jayleen were out of Joshua’s life, the position of Mrs. Neal would be vacant, and that person could get it

as she wanted.
