Chapter Fifty One
Subtitle: Getting to know him
Written by: Marvy Hyacinth
Alexa left Anderson’s house with Jace and the phone she got from Anderson.
Making sure that she’d tucked Jace in bed after he took his bathing, and she took hers, she went into her room to sit and think about several things.
For one, Anderson and his seemingly bossy nature.
She couldn’t live in his house.
Sure, his house was comfortable and big enough for the three of them to live in, but she wasn’t too comfortable with staying under the same roof with Anderson especially after knowing Jace was the blackmail object against her for him.
Sighing, she let her back hit the bed as she stared up at the ceiling and let her gaze bore holes out of it.
On the other hand, it was strange.
Didn’t his father object to him getting married to her?
His Dad kicked against it.
That reminded her.
His Dad!
Suddenly, she remembered the expression Simon had given off when she told him her Dad’s name.
How in the world did he even know about Jace?
Was he in some way related to her Dad or their family in the past?
She chuckled.
“It can’t be possible. We’d have been well off if such a rich man was a friend of my Dad or my family.”
Alexa reasoned.
But still…
That reaction was suspicious.
He was even sweating and she thought she saw what looked like goosebumps on his neck.
“Maybe it was something else.”
Alexa concluded and shook Simon off her thoughts.
Simon was the least of her problems now.
What was bothering her was the fact that she didn’t have the freedom she had before getting all entangled with Anderson.
He was too controlling, she feared what would happen if she eventually got married to him.
He’d be the one practically heading her life!
She felt her eyes burn with tears and she shook her head off to make them go back in.
She wasn’t going to cry.
Her eyes had hurt a lot more than they were supposed to hurt all because of ONE guy.
Alexa decided to do something else to get her mind off Anderson, his Dad, and the rest for some time.
They had taken way too much part of her life.
She sighed.
Turning her head with the help of her neck, she saw the phone box lying on the small table beside her bed.
Amused by the stupid reason Anderson gave for giving her the phone, she decided to check the phone out.
For as long as she could remember, she didn’t own a phone and didn’t own property enough to take a loan to have one.
All her earnings went towards Jace’s medical expenses.
She sat upright, took the phone box, tore the box open, took out the phone, and gasped in surprise.
It was a pear phone.
She couldn’t believe it.
She heard from someone once that a pear phone was just like an iPhone, but a little bigger and transparent.
Holding it in her hand, she realized it was true.
She felt like she was holding just a thick, big rectangular shard of glass.
She could even see the fingers on the back of the phone through the phone.
She hadn’t owned a phone in years, but she was not illiterate.
She pressed hard the by the side of the phone and watched it switch on.
Her lips unknowingly curved into a smile as she stared at the booting screen.
Filling all the personal information like her name, DOB, etc…
The phone continued booting and eventually, it stopped booting.
Then she realized one thing…
She probably didn’t know how to operate a pear phone, so she picked up the ‘manual user’ inside the phone box.
Having bored her way into the little book, she picked up the phone again and browsed through it for some time.
Clicking on the ‘Camera’ button, she took a picture that she found cute enough.
Remembering how Tina always talked about SOCIAL MEDIA, she decided to create a Facebook account first of all to at least kick start her online social life.
Thankfully, Anderson or whoever bought a WiFi deal for the phone, so she didn’t have any problems with a Network connection.
Having done that and finding it interesting enough, she decided to create an Instagram account next and uploaded the picture she took earlier.
Clicking the search button, she searched for some of her favorite celebrities she’d heard of or seen posters about and followed every one of them.
A stupid idea creeping into her mind, she searched for the ‘Guy’.
“Wow.”NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
She let out when she saw the many followers he had.
“He sure is popular.”
‘Of course. What do you expect from the son of a multi-billionaire?’
Her mind asked sarcastically.
“I guess…”
She replied and decided to go through his picture uploads.
She bit his lip.
“He’s so handsome.”
She kept scrolling and saving the pictures till she got to a picture that almost blinded her eyes.
“Omg.”
She drooled.
In the pic, he was shirtless and had a towel around his torso with his head dripping wet.
It looked like he just had a shower.
He looked so perfect and dreamy
After scrolling through his pictures, she decided it was impossible to scroll through all 1078 of them and finally gave up.
She went off her Instagram and decided to check out a News app on the phone.
Scrolling through the news, clicking on important ones, laughing at the funny ones, and skipping through the ones she found useless, she saw a headline that made her shocked.
It read ‘Son of business mogul and soon to be heir to be married soon?’
Her fingers trembled as she clicked on the article.
Reading what the article was about, she couldn’t help but let go of the phone.
Thankfully, it fell on the bed and not the floor
She thought the article was a joke and maybe not about who she thought it was for, but her doubts were clear when she saw pictures of her going into Anderson’s home, In front of his company, and a picture that showed Anderson dragging her into his company.
‘It’s just a joke, Le xi e. Let slide.’
Her mind said and she was about to listen to it until she saw a video link below the pictures.
She clicked on the link and it led her straight to Anderson’s Instagram page.
He was Live on his Instagram about 3 0minutes ago!
Why didn’t she check if he was alive or not when she went there earlier?
She said inwardly, partly regretting it.
What he said made her fear.
He announced that he was getting married soon, and the article writer dug up some photos of the both of them together.
Or perhaps, someone stalked her?
Either way, she was in danger.
She hated being popularly known by people.
From the comments on his Instagram posts, it turned out that a lot of girls were crushing on Anderson.
No wonder Phoebe wanted him back so bad.
Anyways…
She was in danger now and very scared.
