Chapter 66 What a Bummer

Chapter 66 What a Bummer

Edmond Agos was injured unexpectedly.

Luckily, it was not as serious as imagined.

His unrecovered arm was cut again, and the wound was in the same place.

Here came the white-coated doctors. They patted him on the shoulder and enjoined him.

"You're lucky this time. Be careful. You have become a regular customer of our hospital. Don't get hurt again."

Alicia Casey finally breathed a sigh of relief.

However, she couldn't stop her tears.

Edmond waved goodbye to his colleagues, striding towards Alicia. The swing of his white coat was enough to prove how anxious he was to get to her. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Coming to Alicia, he stretched out his hand to wipe away her tears. Full of tenderness, he didn't laugh at her like last time.

"I'm fine."

Alicia turned her head away from Edmond.

More tears gushed out of her eyes.

Edmond had wanted to hug her and comfort her when he saw his parents here. Noticing his parents, he asked, "Mom and Dad, why are you all here?"

"The hospital informed us that you had an accident. Ed, are you okay? Is the injury serious?"

"It's okay."

Peter Agos frowned, "Why are you so careless?"

Before Edmond could answer, Diane Gold's voice came from the side.

"Edmond, are you okay?" She asked anxiously. "It's good that you are okay. We were so worried about you just now. I thought you were going to bleed too much. I was afraid that the hospital didn't have enough blood. I wanted to rush in and let them draw my blood for you."

Immediately Lori Grimes began to express her thanks to him.

"I'm sorry, Dr. Agos. Thank you... I really don't know how to repay you... I've already told my father. Don't worry. The hospital will definitely compensate you."

Edmond was just a little impatient when he saw Diane. However, he felt annoyed when he saw Lori.

Alicia couldn't stand these people, too.

The thought of the fact that she had been crying outside the emergency room for Edmond, who took a knife for another woman, made her feel humiliated.

She was once touched because Edmond blocked the wine bottle for her, but now it seemed that this man just liked to be a hero.

It turned out that he treats everyone the same.

The more Alicia thought about it, the angrier she became. She sniffed and spoke.

"Since you're fine, I'll go back first."

After that, she turned and left without turning her head.

Edmond was immediately aware that Alicia was angry, and quickly explained to Peter and Kalinda, "Don't worry about me. I'll come back home soon."

After speaking, he chased Alicia out, ignoring Diane and Lori.

Just as Alicia walked into the elevator and pressed the button, Edmond got his arm in between the closing doors.

"Hiss..."

Alicia froze in fright and hurriedly pressed the elevator button, the doors stopped closing.

Looking up and seeing Edmond grinning, Alicia instantly became angry.

"You just like making fun of me so much?"

"It really hurts."

She kept a straight face and said nothing.

Her nose was still flushed from crying just now, and there were still tears at the corners of her eyes.

Edmond held Alicia into his arms. He pressed his chin on the top of her head, and gently stroked her back.

"I'm sorry I made you worried."

"Don't touch me."

"No."

"Jerk."

"Why am I a jerk?"

"You took a knife for another woman, do you enjoy being all women's hero?"

After hearing Alicia's words, Edmond was amused and swore in a low voice.

"Damn it, I never thought of blocking the knife for her."

Alicia gritted her teeth and punched him in the chest as if to take revenge for herself.

"What a nonsense! If you didn't want to, then how did you get hurt?"

The man held down her fist and sighed helplessly.

"She pushed me to block the knife."

Alicia was silent for a moment. She broke free from Edmond's arms, looked into his eyes, and asked, "So you are a bummer?"

Edmond was annoyed by her words and laughed out loud.

"Maybe."
