Love’s Final Reveal

Chapter 18

As they neared the mansion, Ethan halted abruptly. He exuded a cold sense that was chilled to the bone. “Are we here?” Lola looked up, puzzled, only to see a tall figure standing in front of the mansion. The sleek, pitch-black car blended seamlessly into the night, Leaning against its front was a figure that stood strikingly familiar. Every time Lola thought of him, she felt that her bones and heart were aching badly. Dominick turned towards the noise, a cigarette casually dangling between his fingers. His gaze, deep and frosty, fell on Lola as he called out. “Lola, come here. “I’m tired.” Lola said softly-she didn’t say the words to Dominick. After speaking, she leaned into Ethan, resting against his back with her eyes closed, deliberately avoiding another look at the man across from her. As Lola showed her indifference, a chill crept into Dominick’s eyes. His jaw tightened as he addressed her again. “Lola, behave.” “What are you doing, Mr. Sinclair?” Ethan looked up at the man not far away, his eyes also turning cold. His eyes, even more sinister and bewitching in the dark night, harbored an unmistakable murderous intent. Dominick’s attention shifted slowly from Lola to Ethan. “Mr. White, you should know that the woman you’re holding is my wife.” “Your wife?” Ethan laughed. Hearing the word “Wife”, Lola, who was clinging to Ethan’s back, suddenly tensed. Her grip on his clothing tightened abruptly. “Ethan, you must have forgotten, Dominick remarked with a chilling calm, “Layla signed the divorce papers two years ago. By law, there’s no longer any tie between you and her.”

Dominick’s eyes also grew colder at this. He stared at them and broke into a sudden smile. “Mr. White, you might not entirely familiar with our legal system. The fact that one party agrees to divorce doesn’t mean dissolving their marriage.” “What do you mean?” Ethan’s eyes narrowed, his tone laced with a dangerous edge, and even Lola felt a sudden Lightness in her chest. “It means I never signed those papers.” Each word from Dominick struck Lola’s heart like the icy raindrops of that night, her grip on Ethan’s clothes tightening desperately as if clinging to her last shred of sanity to avoid spiraling into self- destruction. Ethan glanced coldly at Dominick before gently setting Lola down. He tightened the white coat around her and tenderly embraced her trembling body. softly comforting her. “Layla, just wait for me here. I have some business to attend to. I’ll take you home soon.” Ethan’s voice was low, and while Dominick didn’t catch his words, the sight of their embrace made Dominick’s hand clench into a tight fist It was only after feeling Lola gradually calm down that Ethan released her and approached Dominick. As if in an unspoken arrangement, both men attacked each other simultaneously as they closed in. Their punches were loaded with raw fury, each thrown with every ounce of their strength Beneath the night sky, the two figures clashed relentlessly lola watched silently, her eyes as calm as still water, showing no hint of emotion. The commotion soon drew Lucas and the others from the mansion. Seeing the entangled figures and then Lola standing aside, they all stopped in their tracks, surprised by the intensity of the fight unfolding before them. The combatants exchanged blows with a fierce, almost ruthless intensity, making it difficult to predict the outcome. Due to their special status, Ethan, Lola, and their peers had been trained in martial arts since childhood. But Dominick…. They had already looked into his background. Dominick, Quentin’s son, was born out of wedlock

and was taken in by the Sinclair family at age five Laura, the lady of the Sinclair Group, raised him. Due to his status as an illegitimate child, he was unpopular within the Sinclair family until a few years ago when Landon, the eldest sir of the Sinclair Group, died in a car accident. Dominick stepped in to fill the void left by his half-brother. Unexpectedly, the once unloved, illegitimate son would possess such extraordinary capabilities. With a loud crash, the two figures entangled in the light fell to the ground simultaneously. Both of them looked terrible, their faces bearing the marks of the brutal fight. Ethan, sitting on the ground, wiped blood off his mouth and glared coldly at the man lying nearby. Dominick wasn’t much better. Leaning against the car, he spat a mouthful of blood onto the ground and raised his eyes coldly to meet Ethan’s. Their eyes locked – one filled with ruthless determination, the other with an indifferent ferocity, as if each was resolved to see the other dead. In the quiet of the night, the sudden click of high heels broke the silence. “Layla” Seeing Lola walking towards the mansion, Ethan was about to get up, but someone else rose to his feet and walked over before him. “Lola, come home with me!” Firmly grasping Lola’s wrist, Dominick said coldly. The words “Come home” seemed to conjure up something. Lola’s deep eyes turned red, tinged with a bloodthirsty hatred. She slowly lowered her head to look at the hand gripping her wrist, and as she turned around, a gunshot suddenly rang out between them. With a loud bang, Dominick’s body stiffened sharply. The first thing he saw was a face, cold-blooded and merciless. www His gaze then slowly drifted downward, only then noticing the handgun in Lola’s grasp. The silver, exquisitely crafted pistol was small and delicate, yet at this moment, its muzzle was smoking. Dominick’s gaze shifted to his abdomen, where blood began to surge from a wound. “Don’t touch me.” Lola spoke coldly. Seeing the almost heartlessly indifferent face before him, Dominick felt a pang of Lightness gripped

her heart, and his hand slowly slid off Lola’s arm. Lola glanced at the bleeding wound and turned away coldly, striding into the mansion. As Dominick watched her walking away, his vision blurred, and his tall figure suddenly collapsed. But he did not know that the moment he fell, a mouthful of fresh blood violently spewed from Lola’s mouth. Her frall body, too, collapsed onto the ground… Ħ This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
