I love him
I love him
Weeks later.
Quinn officially moved back to Henry's mansion. She went to work directly from his house. Apart from her mother, and her friends, no one knew she had moved in with her ex boss.
She didn't even tell Stephen.
She was having a blissful time. Although they were in the same mansion, Quinn made sure they barely saw each other.
Henry had been trying so hard to seduce her, but she proved to him that his efforts were futile.
This morning too, he had tried to kiss her but she threw a punch at his stomach and rushed back to his room leaving him writhing in pain.
He had left the mansion in annoyance. Not that Quinn cared anyway...
She decided to take a day from work. She called Avie and told her to cancel her schedule for that day.
She ate her breakfast of toast bread and a glass of warm milk.
Heading back to the living room, she settled down on the sofa and began playing a game on her phone.
She felt so relaxed...
She thought of her daughter and smiled; they just talking to each other few minutes ago.
Her daughter sounded happy to hear her voice. Emelda even told her that she missed her.
Her little pumpkin...
The door bell rang at that moment and Quinn raised her head up.
Was she expecting anyone?
================
Kathleen stood outside the door fuming silently. She was livid with anger at that moment.
She just got reports that Quinn was back at her husband's house. She cancelled every appointment and meetings she had that day and flew down here.
What did Henry take her for?
A fool perhaps...
She waited for whoever was inside to open the door for her.
If it was Quinn...
What right did a mere maid have to flout her orders?
Was she underestimating her?
The door finally opened.
....
As Quinn opened the door, the angry face of Kathleen greeted her.
Oh.... Trouble...
She turned and made to go back to the sofa, when Kathleen drew her back.
"Where do you think you are going?" She asked heatedly.
Quinn shook her grip off, folded her arms and questioned calmly,
"And where do you think you are going?"
Kathleen was shocked at her audacity and courage.
"Are you out of your fucking mind?!" She angrily threw at her.
Quinn wasn't even bothered to respond, she turned and headed back inside.
Kathleen tried to drag her back again but missed.
She lost her balance and pathetically fell on the floor with a thud.
"Oww... That must have hurt." Quinn said in fake concern, her voice laced with mockery.
Kathleen was embarrassed and glared furiously at her.
"What are you fucking doing here?!" She yelled furiously. NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
Quinn calmly walked to the sofa and sat crosslegged on it.
"Are you snubbing my question?" Kathleen rose and shouted angrily.
She felt like twisting the neck of this bitch.
Quinn wasn't even shaken at all; she continued flipping through her phone with a cold expression.
"Do you know he is married? What are you doing in a married man's home? You want more money? Hah.. pathetic indeed." Kathleen laughed in derision.
"Should I be sad because he is married? Ask your precious husband what I'm doing here." Quinn was still calm.
Kathleen's chest heaved up and down in anger. What Quinn said was true.
Henry had to give her a valid explanation for Quinn's presence in the mansion.
He was no longer a bachelor; he was married and she was his wife!
What rights did he have to bring another woman to the house?
"Leave immediately. I won't say much." Kathleen said with the air and confidence of a wealthy woman.
Quinn stared at her like she was looking at a joke. It seemed she was still living in the past..
Maybe she still looked at her and still thought of her like a maid.
"Are you stupid? Why are you shouting and filling my ears with noise?" Quinn sneered.
Kathleen took a step back and looked at the lady seated on the sofa.
Where did she get her confidence from?
It must be because she knew she had the support of Henry.
'Bitch.'
Kathleen walked with quick steps towards her with the intention to slap her.
Unfortunately, Quinn caught it and pushed her hand back.
"It's either you are stupid, or you must be mad, Kathleen." Quinn stood straight to her full height.
She was even taller than Kathleen; she had always been.
Kathleen felt a little bit intimidated. But recalling the fact that Quinn was a maid, she pushed her in annoyance.
"Who do you think you are? Remember, you are nothing but a maid, Quinn." Kathleen spat in mockery.
Quinn was amused; her conjecture was correct after all. Kathleen still thought she was still a maid.
Poor thing..
"Really? Seems I have forgotten though." Quinn changed the look on her face to that of shame.
Kathleen smirked in satisfaction...
"It's better you know your place, lowly maid. Now get inside and pack your things out of this house. Do that while I'm still in a good mood." Kathleen tilted her head arrogantly.
Quinn stifled a laughter and when she couldn't hold it back, she started laughing uncontrollably.
"A very joke I must say, Kathleen. If there is anyone that should be leaving, that should be you. Do you know why I'm here?" Quinn folded her arms and sneered.
"It's because I love him. I love him and I want to be with him. Do you have any objections?" Quinn smirked.
Kathleen was in disbelief; she looked shocked.
Quinn badly wanted to laugh when she saw her expression.
How dare she call her a lowly maid?
Was she even qualified to breath close to her?
"You sent me away once. I'm going to return the favor to you. You may leave." Quinn uttered coldly.
"Did you just tell me to leave?" Kathleen sneered.
Was she joking?
