Chapter 570 I Got Married

Chapter 570 I Got Married

Damien had wasted a trip to Florin. When he got back to Genovia, it was already past work hours. He

went to the office with his hands in his pockets.

Ray was also one of the people heading toward the exits.

“You’re back? What did you go off for?” he asked Damien.

“Went to get married.”

Damien’s casual words turned the heads of everyone at the office.

They started muttering curiously, “Mr. Lawrence got married?”

“Shouldn’t it be that he got remarried? Who else could it be with but Clarissa?”

“Isn’t Clarissa engaged to someone else, though?”

“What?”

Everyone started heated discussions.

However, Ray knew Clarissa wasn’t in Merania. Besides, Damien was enraged. It wasn’t likely that he

had gotten married to Clarissa.

“With who?” Ray asked.

“Chanel Kirk.”

Ray’s eyebrows knitted together. “Who? Is she a stranger?”

Damien rolled his eyes at Ray and went upstairs.

The crowd of people who were getting off work were fervently discussing who Damien’s new wife could

be.

“Chanel Kirk. I’ve never heard of her…”

“Let’s see her when she visits the office.”

After reaching upstairs, Damien called for his assistant.

“Get me a fake certificate.”

“What kind of certificate?”

“A marriage certificate!”

The assistant immediately went off to follow orders.

Damien thought hard about it. Actually, he didn’t even need to ask Chanel for help. She would come

over to Genovia and go along with him once she knew she had a chance, as he was on the outs with

Clarissa.

Damien waited.

If Clarissa could do this to him, he would get even!

At that moment, Clarissa was far away in Lotharia and was racking her brains regarding what to do

about Iris.

Her mother wasn’t cooperating with the police investigation, as the latter probably had some psychiatric

issues. When they slept in the same bed at night, the poor woman would roll into a tight ball, as if she

lacked a sense of security.

Because of that, Clarissa wanted to go back to Merania a bit later. She figured Damien wouldn’t mind a

few extra days.

But as she lay in bed, she realized that her phone had no signal.

She restarted her phone, but there was still no signal. She wondered if she had somehow broken her

phone.

Clarissa went downstairs to borrow Seth’s phone to call Damien with.

She had always thought that Damien didn’t know about Seth.

Unbeknownst to her, Seth had long given his card to Damien. On it, Seth’s phone number was clearly

printed.

When Damien saw the Lotharian number calling him, he sneered.

It was Seth’s.

He was just thinking that he should forgive Clarissa, but now, his temper exploded again.

As his rage flared up again, he really did feel like marrying someone. Any woman would do.

Didn’t she always make him jealous?

Well, he should make her jealous too!

It was the middle of the night in Lotharia, yet she was using Seth’s phone to call him.

How brazen could she be?!

He answered the call, motions cold.

He even thought he had let Clarissa off easy today by not getting his marriage registered.

“Damien, I’m having some trouble here. I’m thinking of coming back after a few more days. Is that

alright?” Clarissa said gently.

“Whose phone is this?” he asked.

“A friend’s,” Clarissa answered. “I’m going through a lot here, and I saved my mother. Uncle George

sent my grandfather to the hospital as well. But because my mother is so scared, she won’t cooperate

with the police, so I was thinking…”

“I got married.”

Clarissa was under the impression Damien wanted to talk to her about getting remarried, so she said,

“About getting remarried, can’t we wait to talk about it after I get back?”

“I got married. To someone else.”

Clarissa momentarily lost her ability to speak. She couldn’t react, her brain stalling. She thought

Damien was joking.

“Are you saying this so I’ll come home earlier? I’ll do my best.” Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

“I married Chanel!” Damien repeated, his tone steely.
