Love in Twilight

Chapter 31

Chapter 31

pter 31 Coax Me? “Let’s go.” Damien pulled Clarissa’s hand, and the two of them got into the car.

Joseph stood there looking dumbfounded. ‘Clarissa is married?!’

He sent Luke a WhatsApp message. ( Is your sister married?)

Damien’s car.

“Why haven’t you told him yet?” Damien asked Clarissa. Clarissa held her bag tightly and blamed

herself. She really shot herself in the foot this time. “I’m sorry.” Clarissa lowered her head. It seemed

that it was time to explain to Damien about her “Take boyfriend”. “What’s so shameful about being

married? Or are you afraid that our marriage will stop his romantic advances toward you?” Damien said

sarcastically. “No…”

“Didn’t he go out of town for an internship? Why did he go to class with you?” Damien asked again.

Damien’s tone had been cold the whole day, and it made her shudder.

“He’s the trainer for economic law.” “So, you meet him every time you go to training?”

“No, please listen to my explanation…”

“Anyway, you’re not allowed to go to those training lessons in the future!” Damien sternly warned her.

When Clarissa heard this, she became anxious.

“I already paid 18,000 dollars for this course that guarantees a pass, and it’s non-refundable,” Clarissa

stubbornly said.

“You’re not allowed to go!” Damien said coldly, “I’ll give you 180,000 dollars. You’re not allowed to go.

I’ll break your legs if you dare to go there again!” Clarissa knew that struggling was sutile because

Damien would be more oppressive the more she persisted. She simply leaned on the back seat of the

car and closed her eyes in a fit of anger.

The car stopped at the hillside villa. Damien took out his phone and transferred 180,000 dollars to

Clarissa’s bank card.

Clarissa was still mad at him, so she left with her bag,

She did not join them for dinner and went to bed early. “What’s wrong with Clary?” Darnien’s

grandfather was very concerned about Clarissa. “Why isn’t she having dinner?”

“She’s upstairs making a fuss.”

Grandpa langhed happily. “You should compromise even if she’s making a fuss. After all, you’re so

much older than her.”

Damien said nothing.

When Damien went upstairs, Clarissa was lying on the bed with the quilt over her head.

Dunten pulled her quilt down. “What do you want?” Clarissa said angrily. She squinted due to the

sudden Influx of light. “Being mad at me won’t change a thing. You’d better accept it.” Damien said

coldly. Clarissa grunted and turned around, ignoring Damien. It seemed that she had to use different

means to attend that training. Clarissa was not obsessed with the training. She was just disgruntled

when she thought that 18,000 dollars would go to waste, especially when nothing was going on

between her and Joseph. She did not sleep well that night. When she woke up the next morning,

Damien happened to be standing beside the bed, getting dressed. Clarissa got up, picked up Damien’s

shirt, and put it on for him. Damien frowned slightly and could not read Clarissa’s mind. However, she

looked so gentle, like a model wife.

“Joseph isn’t my boyfriend. I lied to you before.” Clarissa put a sleeve on Damien and ran her fingers

across Damien’s chest. The warm touch comforted Damien “So, is there anything you say that isn’t a

lie?” Damien lowered his head to look at her.

Although he reprimanded her, he was soft-hearted.

Clarissa picked up his tenderness and felt emboldened. “When you asked me to marry you back then, I

made up an excuse that I have a boyfriend so that I could reject you. Coincidentally, Joseph requested

to follow me on Instagram that day, but I didn’t approve it. So, when you asked me what my boyfriend’s

name was, I blurted out his name at random. I didn’t expect that the world would be so small! He turned

out to be the son of my brother’s boss and the teacher for the training. My brother wanted to introduce

him to me, so he followed me on Instagram.”

“You’d better be telling the truth!” “Of course, I’m telling the truth.” Clarissa helped Damien to button his

shirt and looked at him with such innocent eyes.

“Coax me?”

“President Lawrence, are you so easily coaxed? You have such a high IQ. Who can possibly coax

you?” Clarissa complained.

“He’s chasing you, and you’re playing hard to get. You might not be with him now, but no one can be

sure about the future.” Although Damien’s tone was not as harsh, he was still a little upset.

“I’m not that kind of person. Besides, I already have a husband. My husband will definitely

break my legs if I dare to cheat on him.” Clarissa leaned on Damien’s chest.

Damien stopped talking and wanted to leave. “Hubby, please let me attend this training. There’s

nothing between me and Joseph. My brother set a trap for me that day, and nothing happened between

us.” Clarissa stopped Damien.

“I’ll think about it!” This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

“Hubby, our money is shared. It’s just a matter of changing hands between me and you. But the money

I spent for the training will just end up in someone else’s pockets. Thinking about that money going to

waste just makes my heart ache.” Clarissa was relentless. Sure enough, Damien’s anger subsided.

“Let me know whenever you’re going to class and get Mrs. Faber to accompany you every time you go

there.” “Thank you, hubby!”

Clarissa was so excited that she mustered up the courage to kiss Damien on the cheek. She thought

that her behavior would make Damien very angry, but Damien just glanced at her and said nothing. It

seemed like it worked. Through this ordeal, Clarissa found out about Damien’s weakness. Everything

would be fine as long as she did not argue with him and praised him in the meantime.
