“Good.” Ethan nodded and followed Zen Master outside.

The Chapel of Oros, built on the mountaintop, had multiple layers, each separated by courtyards and gates leading to the grand ceremonial square.
Meanwhile, in the heart of the prayer ceremony, Kellan leaned toward Yorick, his voice tense. “Lord Dotson, the assassination attempt failed. You need to step in.”
Yorick’s eyes slowly opened.
A powerful, almost suffocating energy rippled from him like a crashing wave.
Kellan instinctively stepped back, his gut tightening at its sheer force. He half–expected Yorick to lash out at him, but instead, Yorick rose to his feet and walked toward the grand ceremonial square’s main gate.
This wasn’t his first choice, but a deal had been made with Mason and Ezra. Now that the others had failed, there was no avoiding it–he had to handle things himself.
Inside the Chapel of Oros, the Zen Master gestured toward the final gate that led to the prayer ceremony.
“Mr. Hale, please,” he invited.
Ethan smiled and took a step forward.
Before his foot even touched the ground, a massive figure dropped from above.
Ethan’s body tensed.
The Zen Master immediately moved in front of him.
Guards and Chapel of Oros disciples reacted instantly, weapons drawn as they surrounded the uninvited
guest.
Chester, who had just returned, stepped forward, his expression filled with rage. “What do you think you’re doing, traitor Yorick?!”
Yorick’s gaze sharpened.
The Zen Master stiffened–not because he feared Yorick’s power, but because he understood something crucial.
If Yorick had truly intended to kill Ethan just now, there would have been no time to react, no way to protect him. Chester and the others wouldn’t have stood a chance.
Now, Chester had gone and provoked him–a reckless mistake.
Yet, unaware of the danger, Chester continued, his voice shaking with fury. “Did you murder my father? Did you turn President Barton into a hollow shell?”
Yorick’s expression remained furious. However, his voice was eerily calm. “So, you’re Pierre’s son?”
Chester’s blood boiled. “So, it’s true?! You killed him?!”

“Chester, don’t-” Ethan called out, but it was too late. After all, Yorick’s words alone weren’t enough to prove anything.
Fury had taken over, and Chester launched a series of Earth–Shattering Fist Strikes, his fists cutting through the air like cannon fire. The sheer force of his attacks sent shockwaves rippling outward, stunning
onlookers.
Yet, Yorick didn’t budge.
Three punches in, and he had already figured out Chester’s entire attack pattern. With precise timing, he countered with a single palm strike to Chester’s abdomen.
A sickening crack rang through the air.
Chester was sent flying, crashing through a stone wall before slumping to the ground and coughing up blood.
Shaking his head, Yorick remarked flatly, “You’re nothing like your father. If I’d known you were this weak, I wouldn’t have even bothered.”
Chester’s body trembled from pain and humiliation. Blood trickled from his lips before he finally lost consciousness.
The crowd watched in stunned silence. Brutal. Cold. Yorick crushed him with almost no effort.
Guards moved fast, forming a protective barrier around Ethan.
Unfortunately, Divine Mountain was a gun–free zone today–no firearms were allowed.
The Zen Master stayed close, ready to intervene, though Yorick made no further moves.
However, the disturbance had drawn attention.
A growing crowd gathered at the entrance.
Murmurs turned into shouts.
“That’s Yorick! What’s he doing here?”
“Is he trying to assassinate Mr. Hale?”
“D*mn it! The Shoiyans need to answer for this!”
Many had come to witness Chanaea’s strongest martial artists face off against their greatest threats. Since the wolves had yet to appear, the crowd was all too eager to turn its attention to the tiger in their midst.
Laughter echoed across the courtyard.
Kellan and his fellow Shoiyans sneered at the Chanaean outrage.
“You people are paranoid,” Kellan scoffed.
Another Shoiyan added, “Exactly! Do you really think the Savage Martial Saint would waste his time killing your politicians? If he wanted to, none of them would still be standing.”
“Face it compared to Shoiva’s Martial Saint, vou Chanacans are nothing more than insects.”

Their taunts only fueled the growing anger in the crowd.

However, Yorick made no effort to silence the Shoiyans. For one, he didn’t fear making more enemies. More importantly, they were exactly voicing what he was thinking.
“D*mn Shoiyans, watch your mouths!”
“You think you can just walk in here and insult us? Be careful–we could take you out right now!”
The Chanaeans snapped, their anger boiling over.
The tension reached a breaking point. Fists clenched, martial artists from both sides prepared to fight.
Before things could spiral further, the disciples of the Chapel of Oros stepped in.
These weren’t ordinary friars–they were elite martial artists–some of the finest in Chanaea. Many among them were S–Rank fighters, far superior to the so–called grandmasters competing in the country’s martial
arts scene.
A handful of them alone could dismantle the strongest fighters in the land.
“That’s enough.”
The Zen Master stepped forward, his deep voice resonating through the courtyard.
“This is a sacred ceremony, a time for reflection and renewal. If you bring chaos here, you do not just dishonor tradition–you disgrace yourselves. Do not test our patience.”
The Chanaean martial artists hesitated. Their respect for both the Zen Master and Ethan ran deep.
None wanted to be the one responsible for ruining such an important event.
Reluctantly, they stepped back.
However, Yorick did not.
Kellan frowned. What is he doing? He refused to carry out the assassination quietly, yet now he’s making a scene in front of everyone.
Does he actually believe he can fight his way out of this? noveldrama
Yorick took another step forward and declared, “Zen Master, I won’t drag this out–I’m here to kill Ethan.”
A hush fell over the square.
Even the Shoiyans exchanged uneasy glances.
The Chanaeans stood frozen in shock, their thoughts racing. Did he really just say that out loud?
Ethan remained calm, a small smile forming. “Lord Dotson, may I ask why? As far as I know, we’ve never had any personal conflict. Besides, my death wouldn’t exactly benefit Shoiya, would it?”
All eyes were on Yorick, waiting for his response.

His expression darkened. “My real enemy is the Zen Master and his disciples. This is a blood feud–a matter of honor, legacy, life, and death that can’t be ignored.”
A fierce energy surged around him, so intense that it almost felt solid–something that ordinary people couldn’t withstand.
The Chanaeans, previously eager to fight, now hesitated. Everyone understood that a single misstep could lead to disaster.
