Chapter 928 Move Back Home (Part Two)
"An hour ago," Aria replied, her eyes still on the screen. "Your dinner is in the fridge. I've already
eaten."
"I'm not hungry," Lawrence replied. He got up from the sofa and retreated to the bedroom.
Aria finally noticed Lawrence's hunched figure and her heart could not help but ache. She knew she
had been sulky and indifferent the past few days but he was different today. He didn't even make any
attempt to romance her. She didn't know what to do about it.
Aria sat straight and lowered the volume on the TV. She had her eyes fixed on the bedroom. The door
was open and she could hear water running. 'He's probably taking a shower, ' she thought.
'I do love you, Lawrence. You still have my heart, ' she cried to herself, her hand clutched to her heart.
Inside the bathroom, Lawrence stood under the shower and let the water spray his face and down his
entire body. The water flowed down from his hair down his cheeks to his broad shoulders and his
muscular chest. He didn't notice the water as he stared straight ahead.'Although I am in an awkward
situation, I will face everything bravely, ' he mediated. 'I got soaked in the rainstorm. But getting flooded
and soaked with problems is a different feeling. But it's okay, I will face them head-on, ' Lawrence
promised himself.
He let the water flow down his entire body for a few more minutes before he reached for the knob and
turned off the water. He grabbed his towel to dry off.
He stepped out of the bathroom and could still hear the faint sounds of the TV in the living room. He
knew Aria was still watching. And meanwhile, his girlfriend knew that he was just done with the shower.
Lawrence placed the damp towel on the chair and changed into his sleep clothes. He turned off the
ceiling light and turned on the dim wall light instead. The dim light helped him sleep better.
He laid on the bed on his back and stared up at the ceiling. He felt his eyes begin to droop and turned
to his side to sleep.
Aria noticed the dim light in the bedroom and she knew Lawrence was about to go to sleep. She was a
little annoyed that he didn't even bid her good night. She turned down the volume on the TV until she
couldn't hear any noise from it.
Aria couldn't focus on what she was watching anymore. Lawrence was simply in her mind. She
suddenly regretted what she did to him and wondered if she had broken his heart. He had been doing
what he could to be gentle to her and please her but she kept pushing him away. She sulked because
his old lover was back and he was treating her well. Now, Anna was in her mind and the insecurity
came back. 'I am no match for her. How could I ever compete with her for Lawrence's heart?' she
asked herself inside again and again.
She remembered the time when she and Lawrence met. He was on a blind date with Mary. And she
tried to ruin the date. His date with Mary, who was a high-born lady, who came from a powerful family.
'She stood a chance against Anna. It's not fair that girls like them are the only ones fit to be matched
with men like Lawrence, ' she complained to herself. 'Only rich girls could ever be with him. That's the
truth, right?' she asked herself.
She shook off the terrible thoughts and switched off the television. She wore her slippers, got off the
sofa and turned off the lights before she entered the bedroom.
She closed the door gently so she wouldn't wake up Lawrence. She tiptoed towards her side of the bed
while she watched the sleeping Lawrence. She slipped into bed while she gazed at Lawrence's
troubled face. 'He looks so worried. Even while he sleeps, his brows are knitted together. Did I upset
him?' she mused.
She suddenly felt sorry for Lawrence. He was the CEO of the JC Group and he had so much on his
plate and so much to worry about every day. And here she was, causing him unnecessary trouble and
making him mad. She should have understood him and took care of him, instead of upsetting him like
this.
Aria carefully slid closer to Lawrence and wrapped her arm around his waist. She pressed her head
against his chest and felt him breathing.
Lawrence wasn't fully asleep. When he felt Aria slide closer to him and wrap herself around, he didn't
open his eyes and he stayed silent. But he stretched his arm out and pulled her closer to him.
Everything felt all right with the world because Aria was with him.
"Lawrence," Aria called out with sweetness in her voice. She looked up at his face.
Lawrence mumbled, "Yes?" He opened his eyes and lowered them to meet Aria's eyes.
As they gazed into each other's eyes, they knew there would always be love for each other in them.
"I'm sorry for being so stubborn and making you worried," Aria apologized. She wished she could
smoothen out his wrinkled forehead and take his worries away. She hated to see him in a bad mood. NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
Lawrence smiled. "It's not your fault, Aria," Lawrence told her, as he caressed her.
"You look so troubled. What is bothering you?" Aria couldn't help but ask.
"It's not you, Aria. This is something else," Lawrence replied.
"What is it? What's wrong?" Aria prodded Lawrence.
Lawrence sighed. "My parents and my sister are coming back home tomorrow," Lawrence announced.
"I have to move back to the villa. I can't live here anymore."
