How I Remarry My Ex-Wife by Alvin Humphre

Chapter 25

Chapter 25

Cindy was about to leave. She had to arrange schedules for Whitney.

“What a pity!” Whitney suddenly stood up.

Cindy turned to look at her and understood what she meant. They hadn’t found the rumormonger yet. Although everyone knew who it was,

the evidence hadn’t been found.

However, Whitney knew Felix well even before she signed the contract with him. She reckoned ordinary people couldn’t have gained a firm foothold in the chaotic entertainment industry.

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before the phone rang. It was Simon who called. Whitney got the result she wanted.

“How is it? Look at you. There must be good news, right?” Cindy knew Whitney well. She would know what Whitney wanted to do even from

her smile.

Whitney nodded, tossed her phone on the couch, and slumped on the couch. “It’s Megan. But I’m too familiar with her. She can’t do much.”

Cindy nodded. “Then what to do now? Settle the score?”

“Of course.” Whitney smiled and thought, ‘It’ll be a good show.”

Whitney and Cindy immediately drove to Mackenzie Corporation. Megan and Quincey would do some trivial things in the company at this time. Mackenzie Corporation hadn’t changed at all, but the employees had changed a lot. After entering, they barely knew anyone.

Whitney was no longer the same person she used to be. She was now arrogant like a queen, and no one stopped her along the way, unlike before when she had been stopped whenever she entered the company despite being the CEO’s wife.

When they arrived at Megan’s office, Quincey was also there.

“That’s great. Everyone’s here. It can be settled in one go, and I won’t have to walk around, Whitney thought.

Whitney sat in front of Megan’s desk and didn’t take her seriously. Megan was intimidated by her powerful aura and couldn’t help leaning toward Quinc

“What are you doing here? You’re not qualified to come to me,” Megan said.

Whitney didn’t want to talk to her and threw the lawyer’s letter on her desk.

Megan knew she had done something wrong and dared not open the lawyer’s letter. “What do you want? What’s this? I don’t want to see anything. Get out of here.”

Whitney sneered with disdain, “You don’t have to look at it. Then we will meet in court.”

After speaking, Whitney stood up. Megan trembled at the mention of the court. “Wait a minute. What do you mean?”

“Don’t you know what it means?” Whitney turned to look at Quincey, whose face was grim. “Are you stupid or ignorant? Do you know who Felix is? How dare you spread rumors about him? You’re as ignorant and pathetic as your brother.”

Whitney kept looking at Quincey as she spoke. She knew Megan couldn’t have gotten so much information to spread, and it had to be

Quincey behind her. These siblings are ironic, Whitney mused.

Megan turned to Quincey for help. She started to blame Quincey because she wouldn’t have spread the rumors if Quincey hadn’t let her see those things. She looked at Quincey with a threatening gaze. She would expose Quincey if the latter didn’t help her.

Quincey had no choice but to defend Megan. “Whitney, Megan is young and ignorant. Please forgive her. After all, you two were once a family,”

“Yes, Whitney. We used to be a family. I’m sorry.” Although Megan was arrogant, she hadn’t experienced any big trouble. She was scared at the mention of the court.

Whitney looked at them with a disdainful sneer. “Have you ever thought we were once a family when you criticized me?”

Seeing Whitney didn’t soften, Megan immediately went forward to hold her hand and begged, “Whitney, I was wrong, but it wasn’t my fault. Quincey showed me those things. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have said anything. Sue her if you want!”

Quincey was stunned and clenched her hands slightly. She didn’t expect Megan to give her away so easily. “What a useless thing!she

thought.

Whitney looked up at Quincey, who couldn’t explain herself but wasn’t as timid as Megan. Quincey explained, “Whitney, I also heard about that, so I bought the information. But I didn’t expect it to leak out.”

Whitney’s eyes were calm. ‘Go on and pretend,” she thought.

“Whitney, I’m sorry.” Quincey apologized.

“Come on, Quincey. Do you think I don’t know what kind of person you are? Would you be here if it weren’t for Thiago? Could you have. attended Felix’s party?” Whitney questioned.

Quincey was expressionless, and her smiling face stiffened.

“To put it bluntly, you are the one who relied on men! Apart from seducing other people’s husbands and forcing them to divorce, I don’t know if you have any talents in music.” Whitney turned around and looked at Quincey firmly. “How about this? Let’s have a match openly lest you say I bully you!”

Quincey bit her lower lip and dared not agree. After all, she had no skills. She had bought the work from others when she was invited to the party. She would lose if she competed with Whitney openly.

Quincey looked at the lawyer’s letter on the desk. If she refused, she would go to court, which would be more troublesome. She looked outside the office, where many people had gathered at some point. She couldn’t refuse in the current situation. “Since you said so, let’s do

“Let’s do it now. The employees of Mackenzie Corporation can testify. They’re all your staff, so you can’t say I bully you.” Whitney turned to point to the people outside the office.

Cindy opened the office door. The crowd rushed in to watch the show. Quincey didn’t expect Whitney to be so merciless as to do it on the spot. She was so nervous that her palms were sweating. She knew her level well, but there was no turning back now.

“You first. Let’s sing our song respectively.” Whitney said.

Quincey’s hands trembled slightly. She wasn’t familiar with that song, but she had no choice under the cheering in the office.

“Okay.” She looked pitiful and needed sympathy more than anything else at this time. She hoped Thiago would appear.

Quincey walked to the center of the crowd and began singing the song she had sung at the party. As Whitney thought, she was unfamiliar with the song and even sang out of tune.

Quincey received a small round of applause after singing. Then, Whitney sang the song she composed herself with bursts of cheers and applause. The scene was completely different from before. The office seemed to have turned into a glamorous stage suddenly
