Walk Of Shame
As if having sensed his anger, the world around them fell into complete stillness. The birds stopped singing, the leaves ceased their rustling, and even the air seemed to hold its breath. All she could hear was the faint rush of the stream in the short distance and her pounding heartbeat.
She caught the annoyance filling his features before he pulled away and sat up, his shoulders locked with growing tension. A flicker of unease stirred within her as she mimicked his action. His face was turned away from her.
"Get up. We are leaving," he muttered irritably before getting up. She quietly got to her feet.
Without sparing her so much as a glance, he began walking towards the gate.
Sera exhaled a small sigh. She knew he wouldn't agree. He was a cruel, heartless monster. Expecting humanity from him was akin to expecting warmth from ice. It's against his nature.
She reluctantly sat down in the passenger seat, dread twisting in her guts. She feared him more when he stayed quiet instead of lashing out at her. His movements were sharp and cold as he yanked the gear into place, his knuckles turning white from his iron grip on the steering wheel. He was mad.
The car roared to life, interrupting her scrutiny of him. He slammed his foot on the gas, and the car lurched forward violently, throwing her against the dashboard. She gasped, startled. She set her palm against the dashboard in time to keep herself from hurting. He remained indifferent, gazing ahead as if nothing had happened. Her eyes growing wide in shock and dread as the tires screeched against the pavement.
He sped up recklessly. Swerving past cars with ruthless precision, barely avoiding the clash. Sera had her heart in her mouth.
"Slow down," she choked out anxiously. The world was passing them in a blur, the speedometer close to breaking. He didn't respond or offer any assurance.
Just then, a sudden turn had her body jerking sideways, barely caught by the seatbelt. Her pulse hammered against her veins, cold fear coiling in her stomach. She gripped the door handle instinctively, cold sweat clung to her skin. Her breath was fast and uneven.
Pure horror crashed over her as he veered the vehicle onto the wrong side of the road.
"No..no..no..we'll die," she stuttered, gaping ahead on the vehicles dashing towards them. Color drained down her face when she caught a giant truck coming headfirst towards them. Instead of dodging it, he was speeding car right in its direction. Desperation took over- she gripped his arm and shook him to get his attention, "move..move.." Her voice was dripping with sheer desperation.
Just when the truck was going to collide with them, he swerved, narrowly escaping their doom. Sera just kept gazing ahead, shocked and frozen.
He pulled up before her house and fixed her with a lethal glare. Sera sat rigid, staring blankly ahead, her skin as white as sheet. She was yet to recover from the trauma he had put her through.
"Get out," he snarled, causing her dazed gaze to drift slowly towards him. He looked as if her mere presence was scraping against a raw wound. She looked away and reached out for the door. But before she could open it, his fingers wrapped around her nape. In an instant, he yanked her toward him, snapping her face to meet his gaze.
There was nothing but horror flashing in her eyes. And his screamed rage.
"Escape isn't an option for you-you should know that by now," he growled, looking dead in her eyes. Her only response was a teardrop trailing down her left eye.
"Now get the fuck out," he said, his voice cold as he released her. Sobbing, she gripped the door handle and opened the door with her trembling fingers while he continued to glare ahead at the road as if it were his greatest enemy. She took the bag from the backseat and turned towards her home.
He drove off, burning the car through the road.
She was making fucking excuses to get away.
He threw the dumbbell against the mirror, shattering it into pieces. Breathing heavily, he watched as the splinters rained down, his veins pulsating with unchecked rage. Rejection burned through him like a burning shard. A mixture of frustration and rage surged through him, making him want to destroy the whole world. He always grappled with his anger, but whenever it was about her, he would lose his sanity completely. A fierce madness would grip him, blinding him to reason.
If she thinks she can escape him, then she doesn't know him at all.
She stepped into the basketball
court room only to find it empty. She
looked around but he was nowhere,
around
Just then, the door slammed shut
behind her, startling her. She sharply
spun on her heels to come face to face with him. Locking their gaze, he stalked towards her in predatory strides. Sera swallowed as dread began coiling around her guts. Something dangerous lurked behind his frost-kissed irises.
He stopped a step short, his inscrutible gaze pressing down on her with its intensity. And then his arm coiled around her waist, yanking her against him, making her flinch. She peered up at him from under her lashes, fear flickering in her wide eyes.
The air between them crackled with unbearable tension.
"I've been too easy on you," he said, voice laced with menace as he leaned in eye to eye and added," but that ends now."
She felt her stomach tightening into a tight ball. More so when he bent his head and began sniffing her neck. She whimpered, scared of his next move.noveldrama
"If you won't bend willingly, I'll break you myself," he murmured against her neck, his voice dark with promise. A second later, she felt his canines breaking through her skin, sinking deeper. She hissed in pain, immobilised by his huge weight on her. He retracted an excruciating moment later.
"The more you resist, the worse this will be for you," he declared before gently soothing the burning mark with his tongue. She clenched her jaw to endure the stinging pain. He, then, sucked on the mark, deepening it. The vivid purple stood stark against her porcelain skin, a mark of his claim on her.
"You can fight all you want, but you can't fight the truth. You are mine and that's never going to change," he murmured, his mouth grazing over her skin, before pressing down, taking another bite of her tender flesh. She couldn't help but weep silently in pain as he covered her neck and shoulder with bruising kisses— a mark of possession and ownership.
Her entire neck throbbed with pain as he finally leaned away, allowing her reprieve: His eyes flashed unmistakable possessiveness as he gripped her chin and squeezed it harshly. "You will wear them exactly as Fleft them. Try to hide them, and you'll regret it," he threatened, meaning business. These marks of his possession were for the world to see she was claimed. Her troubled expression was expected.
"But I.." she tried to oppose, but he hushed her by pressing his finger on her lips.
"I am already mad at you, Sera. Don't make it worse," he warned, the threat underlying his voice. A tear of helplessness escaped her eyes, but his verdict
remained unshaken. Without uttering another word, he stepped away and walked
off.
As soon as the door slammed shut behind her, she collapsed to her knees, sobbing.
With a deep breath and clenched fists, she walked into the cafeteria. Her gaze remained locked on the floor, yet she could feel the weight of curious stares digging into her skin, like the hickeys laid bare across her neck. She felt their eyes latch onto those bite marks, curious to discover who had laid his claim on her.
Fighting back tears, she trudged forward towards her corner seat. Her heart as heavy as her legs.
"She has a boyfriend too?" she heard a girl murmur in utter shock as she passed them.
"Guess they're just handing out boyfriends to anyone these days," another
derided.
"I bet she put them there herself to get some attention," she heard someone scoff.
She dared look up and found him seated across from her, on the far opposite side. His eyes were pinned on her, tracking her every movement with unsettling intensity. After Re had left his marks on her, she had decided to go home, to hide from the shame clawing at herskin. But he had forbidden it. He wanted her to roam their school's corridors with these hideous marks visible on her body. He had told her to come to the cafeteria so that the whole school could get the message at once. Seraphina Diaz was taken.
But
it was past her endurance. Not being able to hear anymore, she turned away
and marched out of the cafeteria on her wobbly legs. Tears streamed down her cheeks, blurring her vision as she pushed forward, desperate to get as far from the prying eyes as her trembling legs would take her.
