Falling for my Ex-Fiancee’s Best friend

Harassed

After that night at the event, Demelza resolved within herself to help her father no matter what obstacle that would come her way. She was not going to let Hampton play with her and tie a leash around her neck.

Mostly, she was determined to make Nathan storm her lawyer. But she didn’t know the exact means to win him over.

Lately, Hampton had been threatening her with warning signs, terrifying her till the extent that she could not leave her house. The thought of having him strangle her like last time still traumatized her.

“Honey,” her step mom called as she prepared to leave her for the day. ” Please lock the doors and if that man comes again, don’t hesitate to call the police on him. I have to earn money in order to bring your father out of his hands. Please don’t let anyone in okay,” she pecked her before leaving. Demelza didn’t want her to go but that was the only means she could adapt to for the moment.

Her job wasn’t really paying well and even though she wanted money, she did have to wait for the end of the month.

She locked the doors once her mom was out, checking every necessary place that ensured her safety before she slumped on her bed.

Her life was now a mess because of a damn man who never loved her in the first place. She wondered how she was able to date him for so long without realizing his true colors.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

He only wanted her body and nothing more, besides she was nothing but a low life who he could push around with his money. But she was not going to stand and watch him break her.

As Demelza was lost in her thoughts she heard a hard on her door. At first she was afraid thinking that it was Hampton at the door. But after Katherine’s voice sounded outside the front porch, she heaved in relief.

“Hey, I didn’t know you would come by,” she said letting them in, Spencer had come too.

“Why?, were you expecting someone else?,” Katherine asked as she pulled off her coat, helping her husband out.

“Not exactly,” Demelza closed the door and ushered them into her living room. “I will get you guys something to drink. Please excuse me.”

Katherine was someone dear to her and the day she met Spencer, she was more glad that her best friend ended up with a good man who cherished her very much.

“So have you come to any conclusion yet?, I mean Nathan storms, have you been able to coin up with any means of getting him on your side?,” Katherine asked as she sipped the cool juice Demelza had brought for her and Spencer.

“No, it is not as easy as I thought, I found out that he and Hampton have a very strong bond as friends. They literally grew up together,” she said in a discouraging way, biting her lower lips in frustration. She really wanted to get Nathan to help her but it wasn’t that easy.

“What if we corner him on his way to work, we can track his time frames and stop him when he is on the road,” Katherine suggested but they knew that it wasn’t really a typical thing to do. Nathan could simply call the cops on them or so file a suit on them.

“I don’t think so but I can talk to my dad and have him invited to our place. That way we can talk some sense into him,” Spencer optioned.

“Won’t that cost you something?, I’m told that father’s don’t exchange something without a return,” Demelza added and Spencer nodded in acceptance.

“We can just go to his office and talk to him or create an evidence that we can use to prove to him that Hampton is not the guy he thinks he is,” Katherine snapped her fingers as she muttered her idea out.

“That’s nice but how do we get Hampton caught?,” Spencer questioned, making Demelza a bit nervous.

“He comes to my house sometimes but my mom usually prevents him from coming in. I don’t know if it would be a good idea to let him in and get clear evidence to show Nathan,” Demelza mumbled, afraid of her own words.

“I’m sorry that you have to go through all this Dem, but I promise you that it won’t last for long,” Katherine consoled her knowing that her option was the only way out.

After discussing for a while, they left and Demelza was once again alone. She bit her lips in fear as she pondered on a way to protect herself if Hampton was ever to show up.

Later in the evening, her worst nightmare showed up. He barged into her home without any regard but Demelza didn’t fight much. She knew that this was the only way out.

“You pathetic whore, do you think that little mother of yours can protect you from me,” he closed onto her until she had nowhere to run to.

“What exactly did I ever do to you Hampton?, just let me go!” she screamed but he furiously kissed her, ripping off the dress she was wearing.

Demelza cried begging him to stop his abuse on her but he continued touching her with no regard.

“The more you refuse, the more I make things hard for that damn father of yours. All you have to do is accept my proposal and you and him will be free,” Hampton thrust into her without consideration. She muffled her cry embarrassed by the way he harassed her in the very house she lived in.

“I’m going to have you at all cost Demi, you can not escape me. I will make you my mistress and there is no way you are going to stop it from happening. Remember you are nothing but a helpless whore,” Hampton laughed at her as he zipped up his pants and left her home.

Demelza sat on the floor crying bitterly over what he had done to her.
