Chapter 16 Brandon's Life
Chapter 16 Brandon's Life
Vaughn grabbed my arm and questioned me loudly. From the angry look on his face, it was like I had
betrayed him.
I looked at him coldly, with a disdainful sneer at the corner of my mouth. Then I said coldly, "What's the
relationship between me and Brandon? Does it have anything to do with you? Did I have sex with him?
What does it have to do with you? Vaughn, don't you think you care too much?"
From the moment he betrayed me, we were done. Who was he to question me like this now? It was
none of his business if I had slept with someone else.
"Did you have sex with him? Hollie, when did you become so cheap that you would sleep with random
men? Were you just pretending to be chaste and pious when you were with me?"
Perhaps it was my attitude that angered Vaughn. He suddenly turned to stare at me, his eyes full of
anger and blame.
"Vaughn, what right do you have to call me slut! If I'm slut, then you're worse than me. You are nothing
but a scumbag. How dare you cheat on me with my best friend, and even have sex in our bedroom.
You have no right to talk to me like this. Who do you think you are? So you can sleep with other
women, but I can't?"
I roared at him. At this moment, I didn't care whether the people around me would hear me or not. I
clearly saw that Vaughn felt a little embarrassed after hearing my outburst.
"I know what happened between me and Laney hurt you badly, but you can't just sleep with a random
man. Do you know who Brandon Sutton is?"
Vaughn's voice softened a lot, but it was still full of reproach.
"You don't have to tell me what kind of person Brandon is. Vaughn, I have nothing to do with you
anymore. It's none of your business whether I sleep with a man or not. From now on, we are strangers.
Also, I hope you break up soon!"
I suppressed the anger in my heart and said these words coldly. Then I stepped around him and left.
He didn't try to catch up with me again. I just made up my mind that if he talked to me in such a
questioning tone again, I would give him a slap without hesitation, because he deserved it.
Fortunately, he didn't follow me, so that was wasted.
All my good mood was ruined by Vaughn. Recently, I've been too depressed. I decided to indulge
myself for the last time tonight.
I went to the supermarket and bought some beer and a huge bag of snacks, then went to the
Boundless Rill. When I arrived, it was already evening.
I called Evie and asked her to have a drink with me. However, she was still working overtime and could
only come to me after work, so I had to drink alone now.
A soft, cool breeze came from over the river, which was very comfortable. I drank can after can without
stopping. I didn't have a good tolerance for alcohol in the first place, so I felt dizzy pretty soon.
Suddenly, I heard a man and a woman arguing. The man sounded like Brandon Sutton.
The woman sounded like the popular star, Isla Mitchell.
Why was he here? And with a celebrity too.
Brandon really knew a lot of people. He even knew a popular celebrity.
Just when I was trying to figure out their relationship, Brandon suddenly looked in my direction. I
jumped and turned away hurriedly so that he wouldn't see my face, but I kept my ear open so that I
could hear what they were saying. Humans were naturally curious, after all.
"Brandon, I know I was wrong. Can you forgive me? I promise I will never do it again."
The speaker was Isla. Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
"I've told you very clearly. It's over between the two of us. Don't pester me anymore in the future.
Brandon's voice sounded. There seemed to be impatience in his tone.
"Brandon, don't treat me like this, okay? If you think I did something bad, I will change. If you want, I
can even change myself. I'll be whatever you want me to be, as long as you don't break up with me."
Out of the corner of my eye, I secretly looked in their direction. Because Brandon had his back to me, I
became bold.
