“Really?”
Lucas stared at her fair, pure face, then suddenly leaned in, cupping the back of her head as he kissed her.
His kiss was skillful, teasing her bit by bit, waiting for her to give in and respond.
“I don’t believe you,” he murmured, his breath heavy and warm as he traced the shape of her lips, his
voice huskier than usual.
Outside, the night deepened, the streetlights casting long shadows that barely reached the inside of the car, which remained dim and intimate. Their breaths mingled, and the temperature inside the car steadily
rose.
The car was parked under a tree, its shadows flickering. The dappled light cast a faint shadow over their
faces.
Aveline wanted to resist, but it was too late. Her body was too accustomed to Lucas‘ touch.
So familiar that it took him no time at all to make her melt.
Lucas chuckled lowly. “But your body says you like me.
Aveline’s eyes filled with unshed tears, her breath unsteady as she said, “My reaction is perfectly normal. Being teased by a man like you, of course, I’d respond this way. If it were someone else, I’d still…”
She didn’t get to finish her sentence before Lucas‘ lips captured hers again.
He couldn’t tolerate what she had said.
Would she respond just as enticingly if another man touched her?
He couldn’t even imagine such a scenario. The thought alone drove him mad!
“Mm!”
Aveline pushed him, not wanting such intimacy.
It would be better for both of them to keep some distance.
But the more she struggled, the wilder Lucas’s kisses became.
Finally, he grabbed her waist and lifted her onto his lap, his hand pressing her waist to keep her close to him.
They could feel each other’s warmth instantly.
Aveline’s face flushed, breathing erratically.
Lucas grabbed her hand and placed it on his belt buckle.
“Do you want this?”
Aveline, almost unable to support herself, leaned softly against his chest. “Luoas, when it comes to sex, we’re quite compatible, but emotions are another matter.”
Lucas gripped her chin, forcing her to look up at him. “Why would I like someone who ruins the mood like.
this?”
Aveline’s eyelashes quivered, the defenses around her heart beginning to crumble.
Lucas kissed her again, this time biting her lip with malicious intent, punishing her.
Aveline winced in pain, tears welling up in her eyes.
Seeing this, Lucas released her and said, “Who said we were compatible?”
Aveline paused. “We’re not?”
Lucas scoffed. “With your weak efforts, have I ever been satisfied?”
Aveline lowered her gaze. “Then it’s settled. We’ll divorce, and you can find a woman who satisfies you.”
“You damn-”
Lucas cursed under his breath, pinching her sharply.
“Ah!”
Aveline gasped in pain, arching her back and glaring at him with tear–filled eyes. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
Lucas‘ eyes darkened as he stared at her. “Do you believe I won’t take you right here?”
He didn’t mean it literally, but Aveline didn’t want to push him further. He looked like an enraged lion, capable of anything.
She took a deep breath and said, “Weren’t we going to pick out a gift for Grandma?”
Seeing her in pain, Lucas released her, then said, “How can I go in my current state?”
His gaze dropped suggestively.
Aveline returned to the passenger seat, glanced at him, and said, “Then take care of it yourself, and we’ll go after.”
