Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 2111

When Maja got the text message, she didn't think much of it. Ian was always sending gifts her way, she was quite used to it by now.

Just as she was about to reply, Beck stormed in, his face a mask of anger, and began packing his bags. He had booked a flight that was leaving in just three hours.

"Beck, are you seriously leaving so soon? Can't you stay a bit longer this time?" Maja pleaded.

But Beck was in no mood to stay. He zipped up his suitcase and threw a parting shot over his shoulder.

"Maja, you better keep an eye on lan. I saw him tonight, all cozy with some waitress in the VIP lounge, even had her sitting on his lap while they drank. Everyone saw it. You might want to pay more attention."

With that, Beck stormed out, jumped into his car, and sped off to catch his flight.

Maja stood there, bewildered. She and lan had known each other long enough that she trusted him. Beck must have gotten riled up about something else.

She tried calling lan, but he didn't pick up. Her brow furrowed in concern. These two had a history of butting heads, and it seemed like the rivalry had flared up again.

Beck flew back to North America, and despite the jet lag, he immediately drove over to where Stella was.

As luck would have it, he arrived just in time to see Stella and Dave looking pretty close. Dave appeared exhausted, and Stella was gently wiping the sweat from his brow.

Seeing this, Beck felt a surge of anger. "Stella!"

Stella looked up, surprised to see him there again. The last time he left, he was furious.

Beck strode over and pulled Dave away. "Stella, what on earth are you doing? You know there's a line you shouldn't cross!"

Stella was taken aback. Was he serious? Beck knew she had a few "friends" she relied on.

She didn't say a word as he pulled her back into the room by her wrist.

Dave stood there, rubbing his temples, wondering what had gotten into Beck this time. How long would this visit last? A week? A month?

Beck's feelings for Stella weren't deep, at least not that he realized. But Stella, she was head over heels. Any sign of interest from Beck, and she'd go to the ends of the earth for him.

But love like this was fragile, especially when one gave more than the other. Stella hoped so much, and with that hope came potential disappointment. Inside, Beck was restless. Just picturing them together filled him with rage.

"You should keep your distance from him," he said, trying to mask his jealousy.

Stella didn't respond. She poured him a glass of water and sat beside him. "Why did you come back?"

The question caught Beck off guard. Why had he come back?

What Stella, did with anyone else was none of his business. Why had he rushed over after hearing those things back in Greenfield? It was so unlike him.

Beck couldn't stomach the water. He set the glass down and moved to open a window.

The last time he was here, he'd stood by this window for a few minutes, but his stay was so short he hadn't noticed the small grave nearby.

It didn't look like an adult's grave.

Beck's heart skipped a beat, a suspicion forming in his mind.noveldrama

He climbed out the window and made his way to the grave.

Stella wanted to stop him, but seeing where he was headed, the words caught in her throat.

She followed him quietly.

Beck approached the grave quickly, his heart heavy with dread.

When he read the inscription, it felt like something tore him apart. It was a feeling

he didn't know how to handle.

His fingers trembled as he traced the words on the gravestone.

Stella's Daughter.

So, Stella had given birth to a girl.

Beck was overwhelmed with emotion, his throat burned with unshed tears.

Stella joined him, seeing the words, she just gave a bitter smile. "I carved that." She'd even hurt her fingers doing it.

Beck didn't say a word. He pulled out

a pack of cigarettes, lit one, but the

s bitter, making him want to

spit it out.

Stella reached for the cigarette, but when she looked up, his eyes were red.

After a couple more smokes, Beck took a deep breath.

His chest still ached, but he felt the need to say something.

"Stella, did it hurt?"
