Chapter 6
Chapter 6
My Ayisha!
Damien approached the jet, but the activity seemed to be coming from the other side of the jet. He could hear Claire loudly and clearly,
“You fucking bitch! How could you betray the rest of us! Do you want me to smack you to death?”
“And what’s with the useless whistle? Give it here.”
“No, I won’t. I won’t…”
Damien walked in on them struggling with Ayisha to snatch the whistle from her. His heart broke. Ayisha was encircled by the group of seven. She was on her knees, her hair disheveled.
The ladies seemed too busy to notice him. Looking at how ruthlessly and wild they were acting, he knew walking closer would do nothing. He pulled out his revolver and shot it in the air.
“Let whoever has a death wish lay a hand on her again.”
The blast of the gun sent a chill down their spines. He watched them fall on their backs, trying to get a hold of themselves.
YEA, THAT’S RIGHT BITCHES. COWER!!
He thought, strutting to Ayisha. They paved the way for him and helped Ayisha up. There were tracks of tears on her cheeks.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t get here earlier.”
“Damien…”
She hugged him, crying into his chest. He walked her away from the midst of the girls. He took a stance where he could hold all of them in his gaze, his arm around Ayisha’s waist.
“Let’s make some rules clear here.”
He started. He loved the fact that Claire and Lisa themselves were scared to their pants. He had never seen them look that disturbed and terrified.
“As far as I am concerned, we don’t know what happened outside. Some of you might call it the end of the world, while it might just be a political misunderstanding between two countries! Or vice versa.”
“But pending the time we are here, only the person who survives get to live and make rules. There is no such thing as being higher than the rest. There’s no ranking out here.”
He could tell by the shadow of hate stalking Claire’s face that she didn’t agree with him. He didn’t want her to. He knew that it was just the matter of time before she’d speak up.
Damien’s face was tough and stern. There was neither pity nor care in it. He had noticed that that was what he needed if he wanted to stake a claim in the midst of these spoiled brats!!!
“And I’ll say this just once. If any of you lay a finger on Ayisha again, I’ll put a bullet through your skull. You can call it a bluff, but don’t say you weren’t warned.”
Ayisha clutched at his cloth at that. He knew he should look at her, but he didn’t. Her left tit which was pressed to his side was giving him enough sensation.
“Now, apologize to her right away!!!”
He yelled on top of his voice. The girls shuddered. Their eyes widened. They obviously had never seen Damien wear that expression before. He had only spoken back to them but had never yelled!!!
He pulled up his revolver and cocked it.
“I’m not going to repeat myself.”
He pointed the gun at Claire! She was the one he saw dragging the whistle with Ayisha. He wanted her to have a taste of her medicine.
Truth be told, he wouldn’t dare pull the trigger on them, because he had other plans. But he needed to prove to them who the boss was around there.
Seeing that she was reluctant, he shot at the earth between her legs! Scared to death, Claire dropped on her knees and bursted out crying. For a moment, she thought that she’d lost her leg.
The other girls joined in, kneeling before both Ayisha and Damien. Damien nudged Ayisha forward.
“Say the words.”
He called at Claire who started.
“We are sorry for putting you through that.” Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
“And?”
Damien probed mercilessly.
“We won’t do that again.”
Damien walked to Ayisha, standing behind her.
“Do you accept their apologies?”
Ayisha nodded. Damien felt no need to say any other thing, he watched the girls stand one after the other.
As the ladies walked on, he heard them having an indistinct conversation. He didn’t care. At once, Claire halted. She turned to Drake.
“Even though we were wrong to take our rage out on Ayisha, but the jet belongs to us. Why should the two of you be the only one who gets to live in it?”
Interesting. Claire seemed more charming and daring than he thought. Now he understood why she was accorded respect amongst the ladies. He would have to think of an advance way to deal with her.
“Why should you leave? Did you know what it took to get the jet in a good state? Am I not also one of the BMX group members? The jet belongs to none of us! It was the property of the elites.”
Damien was impressed by the outspokenness of Ayisha. But Claire wasn’t having it.
“This is not a boast, but do you really think you have a say in this? I kinda now regret recommending you to father. If I didn’t, do you think you’d be a part of this?”
There was a sense in Claire’s argument and even Ayisha knew that. Damien didn’t. So, he just kept abreast of the information. Though he hated how Claire spoke rashly and with ego.
“How about we take a vote then. We can be democratic. The highest vote would –”
“That’s not necessary.”
Damien stepped in, cutting short Lisa’s opinion. Lisa felt like she was stabbed a dagger in the chest. She hated to be interrupted!
“You can have the jet for yourself. How about that?”
“Damien? What are you doing?”
Ayisha was confused. Damien smiled at her, not to worry about it. He looked back at the girls,
“You can also have the leftover of the cougar too. I’m sure you’ve been starving.”
He pointed at the leftover. He didn’t wait to catch the reactions of the girls. He walked into the jet to grab the black bag which contained the necessary equipments.
“Once again, I don’t want to see you around Ayisha. If I hear that you hurt her in any way, you’d do more than blame yourselves.”
He warned then turned to Ayisha,
“Come girl let’s go.”
He led her towards the direction of the plain. He was wise to take a detour. He didn’t want the rest to find out the place. Yet!
“Why did you give them the jet? Where would we sleep? The sun is turning orange soon.”
Damien had been waiting for Ayisha’s complaint as he led her through the way, and she eventually did.
“We’ll find ourselves a place. There might be a cave somewhere.”
He teased. She went silent for a while. That wasn’t the reaction he had expected from her.
“Would you had pulled the trigger on them if they didn’t do what you told them?”
That was an interesting question she asked.
“What do you think? What if I did?”
“If you did, I wouldn’t blame you. The girls could be brutal. They would do worst if they were in your shoes.”
He looked at the side of her face. He was more impressed.
“I feel like kissing you.”
He was honest. She smiled sheepishly at him.
“Nothing is holding you back.”
He knew he should take that advantage, but instead, he put his arm around her waist.
“But where are we going to stay?”
He thought he already answered that question.
Not long after walking, they arrived at the spot. Seeing the construction, she knew what that meant. She was smarter than he thought.
“Oh, Damien. When did you build this?”
“It was meant to be a surprise.”
She hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her, absorbing her smell and warmth. He wanted more than that from her. She pulled away. She hurried towards the building excited.
“Careful.”
He called at her.
