Caught Between My Mate And A Demon

Dinner date 2

As they walked to their vip section, Nima’s gaze took in everything around her in awe.

Beautiful people, decorations, and lots more, just like in movies she had watched.

Joel noticed this and didn’t disturb her, even slowing down a bit to give her more time to admire.

He had caught onto a bit of her life from their conversations. She seems to be an isolated person.

He was just confused because Nima has good interaction skills, and a sex coach definitely can’t be a shy person.

He wanted to know more but felt he shouldn’t rush things and make her uncomfortable.

This, of course, was why he had come to meet her outside the restaurant, despite having sent her details of the booking.

Also, he couldn’t wait to see her.

And he wasn’t disappointed. The girl is just out of this world.

Joel couldn’t explain it, but the way she made her feel was all over the place.

Happiness, fulfilment, love, guilt.

Many of his emotions are unexplainable for someone he was meeting physically for the first time.

And there’s the urge to simply hold her tight in his arms and never let go. The urge to do anything she wanted.

They soon settled on their table with only 5 other seats around them, 3 of them occupied, but there’s enough distance to grant privacy to each couple.

“Do you like this place, angel?” Joel asked, bringing Nima’s attention to himself.

Nima’s heart was filled with marvel. She liked everything she saw, not everyone, though.

She feels uncomfortable having so many people around, but like she had repeatedly told herself, the focus should be on Joel. The people should be seen as background pictures, and Nima finds everything fascinating from that point of view.

“Everything looks beautiful.” She said with a soft smile.

“I’m glad you’re liking it.” Joel smiled at her, and for a few seconds, their gazes held one another’s.

Joel’s breath caught in his throat.

The feeling he never had the chance to feel. He couldn’t believe how hard his heart was racing for this woman.

And to think his brain wasn’t calculating how to get her to his bed and do to her all he had promised.

He just felt happy having her around.

“Nimalaya, your beauty is ethereal. It’s like you graced planet earth to show off. And I’m grateful for that.” Joel said sincerely, and Nima chuckled softly.

“You’re so cheeky.” She commented.

“Well, that’s a new one. I am kind of enjoying the naming ceremonies you ladies celebrated for me.” Joel ended his speech, only to see Nima’s expression get cautious.

“Ladies. You aren’t married, are you?” She asked, trying to maintain a straight face but worried on the inside.

Joel leaned a bit towards the table and whispered like he was telling a secret.

“Apparently my personal assistant thinks I’m nosy, annoying, shameless, creepy. Angel, the list goes on.” He said with an amused smile.

“That lady speaks just the truth. Good, you have someone beside you to give you reality checks.” Nima giggled.

Dazzled by her giggling, Joel stared intensely, making Nima’s blush deepen.

Joel soon noticed someone approaching their table and sat upright, gazing towards the waitress that smiled politely at them before asking what they would like to have or if she should come back.

Joel glanced at Nima. “What do you think?” He asked.

Nima smiled awkwardly and seemed to fidget a bit.

“Please leave the menu. We will handle the booking ourselves.” Joel said to the waitress, who smiled at them warmly and placed the tablet she was holding on the table before leaving.

‘Oh God! I’m ruining the night.’ Nima was starting to lose her composure on the inside.

Not seeming to mind her earlier action, Joel tilted the tablet to face her. “They serve great dishes here. Take a look, angel.” He urged.

Nima stared at him for a brief moment, and he held her gaze. A small smile played on her lips as her tension eased.

She scrolled the menu and selected an avocado smoothie, along with onion rings.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

She gestured to him that she had made her choice.

“That was fast.” Joel commented, making a few taps on the tablet and sending out their order.

Putting the menu aside, he glanced at Nima. “Are you shy or don’t eat much?” He asked.

“I love eating. I’m just not used to this kind of setup.” She admitted.

“I figured.” Joel hummed.

Nima paused her lips, looking a bit awkward.

“So tell me, angel. What is the funniest situation you’ve ever found yourself in.” He asked.

Nima gave him a quizzical look but decided to humour him.

She made a thoughtful look and then made a face that shows an event had come to mind.

Joel looked so interested, his eyes fully focused on her.
