Bittersweet Arrangements : A Sugar Dady Affair

BLACKY & ELENA

Elena looked at herself in front of the giant mirror in front of her. Check out his appearance this morning. Starting from toe to head, left, right and front sides of the body in detail. No small thing should ruin her appearance. Today might be her first date with Devan. So Elena wants to look perfect. White balel jeans combined with a light blue striped shirt. Her long brownish hair was left flowing beautifully.

“Geez, why am I so nervous? Even though I just want to meet the grandpa,” Elena monologued with both hands hitting her cheeks. “grandpa?” Elena repeated, just realizing that Devan’s call was really ridiculous. What’s worse is that she is going on a date with a man she calls grandpa.

While giggling with amusement, Elena took one of her sling bag collections which were neatly arranged on a special stacking shelf in the closed walk-in. The medium-sized room behind the glass door specifically stores Elena’s belongings such as clothes, bags, shoes and all her accessories. Don’t forget white Snikers shoes as footwear that will perfect your appearance.

Before leaving the room, Elena stopped for a moment in front of the mirror. Making sure of his appearance for the last time.

Elena quickly opened the door and went outside. As usual, the girl would hum with every step she took. Her sweet voice is of course the only melody that accompanies it. The house was quiet because his parents were working, his two younger siblings were at school, and the servants were busy with their respective duties. He looked at the blue watch around his wrist. But before his feet had stepped on the last step, Endah called him.

“Ma’am, there’s a guest for Miss Elena,” said Endah and then intended to leave but Elena immediately held her back. The woman in her 40s whose hobby was wearing batik negligee turned back to face Elena.

Elena was of course shocked. He didn’t have an appointment to meet anyone at home. Could it be Devan who came? But impossible. The grandfathers came for no apparent reason. If the reason for picking him up is certainly impossible because it would be the same as committing suicide. Moreover, last night they had made an appointment to meet at the workshop.

“Who is Auntie?” Elena asked curiously.

“Mr Dirga, Sis.” Endah’s answer succeeded in making Elena’s lips pout.

“Dirga?” Elena repeated which was immediately confirmed by Aunt Endah.

“Auntie just said, El isn’t at home?” said Elena because she was reluctant to meet Dirga.

Before Endah gave an answer, someone interrupted her. Elena suddenly turned towards the source of the sound which managed to startle her and Aunt Endah.

“Don’t you want to go out with Dirga?” That question immediately made Elena gasp. Elena was suddenly nervous about her Mommy’s question.

“Hey Mommy, why are you still at home?” Elena asked back then smiled broadly.

“Mommy wants to stay at home today, why is that?” Vanessa answered then continued walking towards the living room, passing Elena who was still standing at the bottom of the stairs, while Aunt Endah had returned to the kitchen to continue her work.

“Yes, it’s okay, Mom,” said Elena and followed behind Vanessa.

While grabbing the TV remote, Vanessa observed Elena’s beautiful appearance today. Until now, wherever Elena went, she always had a stylish and fashionable look. But this time, Elena looked very different. As a mother, Vanessa could sense something different about her daughter. Since yesterday afternoon, the girl’s face seemed radiant. Like a teenager intoxicated by love. It was normal because, at the moment, Elena was close to Dirga, her school friend.

“Go ahead! Poor Dirga has been waiting. Daddy is not home, take advantage of it,” Vanessa said, winking one eye. If her husband were at home, it wouldn’t be as easy for Dirga to take Elena away. It would take at least 30-40 minutes to get permission from Jeremy, even with Vanessa’s help. Otherwise, there was no way Dirga would dare to come back today.

There was no other choice but to lie. Elena hastily said goodbye to Vanessa and met Dirga, who had been waiting for her in the living room. While walking, Elena was trying to figure out how to escape from Dirga. If Mommy wasn’t at home, everything wouldn’t be as complicated now. If that were the case, Elena could easily go with Dirga.

Elena’s appearance successfully captivated Dirga. The teenage boy stood up to greet Elena as she arrived.

“Hi!” Dirga greeted while gazing at Elena with an adoring look.

“Hi, Ga. What’s up?” Elena tried to be friendly.

Dirga smiled broadly upon hearing Elena’s question. The girl in front of him was already perfect. It seemed like she understood that he would come today.

“Aren’t we going on a date like we used to?” Dirga threw back a question that successfully silenced Elena. Previously, Elena herself had said that they were on a date. Now Elena had to face the consequences of her words.

Elena’s phone suddenly rang, interrupting their conversation. Elena glanced at Dirga for a moment before taking out her phone. Instead of answering, Elena decided to take Dirga outside the house.

“Why the rush, El!” Dirga was confused because Elena forcefully pulled his hand out of the house.

“Don’t ask. Anyway, we have to leave now!” Elena replied while continuing to pull Dirga down the stairs to where her parked motorbike was.

“So, where are we going?” Dirga asked, puzzled. But he still followed Elena’s wish. Quickly, Dirga put on his helmet and got on his motorcycle. Elena also got on the back. In his confusion, Dirga drove the motorcycle until they reached Citra’s house.

Citra, who was relaxing inside the house, walked towards the door upon hearing the sound of the motorcycle stopping in front of her house. Seeing Dirga and Elena arrive together made Citra raise her eyebrows. As far as she remembered, Elena didn’t say anything about coming with Dirga today.

“Hi,” Dirga greeted Citra while placing the helmet on the tank of his motorcycle.

“Hi, Ga. Come in first,” Citra replied, inviting the two of them into the house.

Citra cast a gaze full of question marks at Elena, who looked anxious. Her friend seemed to be staring at the screen of her ringing phone in her hand.

“Come on, El!” Dirga urged, making Elena startled and almost dropping her phone.

“You go ahead, Ga. I need to answer this call first,” Elena replied, moving away slightly to answer a call from Devan.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

Dirga then walked with Citra and sat in the chairs available on the house porch. The two teenagers focused on observing Elena’s behavior while she was on the phone.

“What’s wrong Uncle?” Elena asked with a smile when she realized that she was the center of attention of Citra and Dirga who were some distance away from her.

“Where are you?” Devan said quickly.

“At Citra Uncle’s house. Later El…” Elena’s answer was interrupted because after that she only heard the sound of tut tut.

“Grandfathers, why have you become a habit of just hanging up the phone?” Elena grumbled as she stared at her cellphone screen which was still on. “Ah, I’m so stupid. Why do I have to obey that battery? I want to get angry. I want to get into his business. Why do I think about him,” continued Elena irritably. Surprised by Devan’s attitude which suddenly changed to his own accord.

After successfully controlling herself, Elena casually stepped towards where Citra and Dirga were. Elena sat in the only empty chair there and gave Citra a meaningful smile.

“I asked, where are you actually going? Why didn’t you come and tell me,” said Citra, starting the conversation.

Dirga, who heard Citra’s question to Elena, made him feel even more confused. Earlier, Dirga deliberately came to Elena’s house without telling her first. But when he arrived at Elena’s house, Dirga was confused by the girl’s attitude and appearance, who was wearing neat clothes. It was clear that the girl was ready to go. What was even stranger was that Elena hurriedly asked him to leave even though Dirga had just arrived and had no intention of asking Elena out on a date like some time ago. When asked, Elena looked nervous when she said she wanted to go to Citra’s house. And now Citra actually asks why they came.

“Yeah, I just want to play here. Isn’t that allowed?” Elena asked back.

“Yes, that’s fine. I’m actually glad you came. Vacationing at home isn’t fun!” said Citra, who suddenly felt embarrassed because she seemed to object to the arrival of the two of them. “Well, let’s just chat inside then. It’s going to be hot in here soon,” said Citra and stood up.

“I, yes, Sir,” replied Citra hesitantly. She didn’t expect the mature man to come and pick up Elena, especially when it was clear that Elena came with Dirga earlier.

“Let me be the one to take Elena home, Sir. I brought her here earlier, so allow her to go back with me,” Dirga interjected, showing his displeasure with the way Devan was looking at the girl he loved. The gaze conveyed not the feelings between an uncle and niece, but the emotions of an adult man towards an adult woman. As a man, Dirga could interpret Devan’s look at Elena.

“Elena is coming home with me,” Devan responded softly but with emphasis.

“Ga, I’ll head back first. I’ll chat with you later. I genuinely forgot about my appointment with Bang Eki,” Elena interrupted before Dirga could grow suspicious. She then linked her arm with Devan’s, smiling as she continued, “Come on, Sir, I don’t want Bang Eki waiting for us.” Once again, Elena lied to deceive Dirga.

Upon reaching the terrace, Elena let go of Devan’s arm, walking ahead towards his motorcycle. Devan put on his helmet, looking at Elena. Similarly, Elena stared back at Devan with pursed lips, annoyed because, for the umpteenth time, Devan had spoiled her day.

Devan made sure Elena was comfortably seated behind him before starting the motorcycle. Through the rearview mirror, Devan could clearly see the girl pouting.

“I already told you, you’re not allowed to hang out with Dirga anymore!” Devan warned sternly.

“What right do you have to forbid El from hanging out with Dirga? Mommy and Daddy don’t even object,” Elena replied lazily.

Devan chose to remain silent, not responding to Elena’s words. Instead, he took Elena’s hand to hug her. Before Elena could protest, Devan increased the speed of the motorcycle, causing Elena to be frightened and hide her face behind his back. After a while, Devan slowed down the motorcycle. When Elena felt the motorcycle stop, she opened her eyes. They had arrived in front of The Doctor’s Car workshop.

Lucky and other employees who were having lunch together were surprised by the unusual scene in front of them. Some of them even choked on their food. In front of the workshop, Elena was on Blacky, hugging Devan tightly. It was an incredibly rare sight. Elena was the only woman who had ever ridden Blacky, the boss’s favorite motorcycle that had never been touched by anyone.

Their mouths widened as they watched Devan gently fix Elena’s disheveled hair without any awkwardness. Then, without hesitation, Devan took Elena’s hand, leading her towards his office.

Seeing Devan and Elena getting closer, the employees quickly pretended not to notice, continuing to eat their lunch.

Brak! The loud sound of the door closing successfully startled all the workshop employees.

“Sir!” whispered one of them while looking at the boss’s office door.

“I don’t know. Hurry up and finish your food!” Lucky said pretending to be nonchalant. But in my heart I wondered. “What is the relationship between Mr. Devan and Ms. Elena?”
