Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1865

"Oh, really? Already? I've been keeping up with the case. I forgot to ask because Trevor's been busy with a business trip for the past few days," Victoria replied.

As she spoke, her heart suddenly felt as if it was stuffed with cotton wool. She experienced an unspeakable discomfort. After hesitating for a long time, she said, "I want to go see him. There are some things that I still want to ask him. Waverly, do you think it's appropriate for me to go?"

She would be visiting a criminal, not to mention that he was her ex-boyfriend.

However, how had he ended up like that? On top of that, all her past doubts were like countless questions that couldn't be solved. They lingered in Victoria's mind. It was as if there was something clogging up her brain, making her feel intensely uncomfortable.

After thinking for a while, Waverly voiced her opinion.

"He did help you out, so I think it'd be understandable if you went to visit him. Even so, I think it'd be best if you told Master Trevor. If he feels uncomfortable because of it, then the loss outweighs the gain. If I wasn't pregnant I would go with you!"

Prisons didn't exactly have a good reputation, after all. Since Waverly was carrying a baby, she couldn't let go of the taboos in her heart.

"How could I make you go with me? What you said is reasonable, though. When men get jealous, they can be paranoid. I'll call him and let him know."

After giving Trevor a call, Trevor gave her a decisive answer. Upon putting the phone down, Victoria was visibly surprised.

"He said he would go with me, and that he'll come and pick me up later. We're going today," she revealed.

"Haha!"

Waverly covered her mouth and laughed. Then, she got up and stretched her sluggish muscles and bones.

"Master Trevor sure is worried about you! Hurry up and go so that you can get rid of your worries. He must be afraid that you'll keep thinking about it. You know, people always said that Master Trevor was the biggest playboy out of The Four Great Masters. Why does it seem like the more devoted he is to you, the less he cares about anyone else, though?"

The next second, Victoria also smiled and said, "Hey, is that envy in your tone? Aren't you afraid that Mr. Johnson will find out and get jealous?"

"He'd better find out. If he's aware, then he should learn from Master Trevor and come back home to be with me more often!" Waverly whined.

"Aww, do you miss him? In that case, I'll have to think of a way to let him know..." While talking, Victoria waved her phone at Waverly half-heartedly.

She inadvertently turned around, causing Waverly to widen her eyes and say, "Hey, I was just kidding. Don't take it seriously! He just came home to see me earlier before noon!"

In a hurry, she turned back and quickly grabbed Victoria's hand. If Victoria were to actually message or call, Wyatt would definitely come running.

Waverly might have been hurt too much when it came to relationships. In fact, she had always lacked confidence and had even been self-deprecating, especially when she met someone like Wyatt, who was clearly favored by the heavens. She had thought that once a man got the girl he wanted, the passion would fade and things would go back to being dull. However, she had never expected that after marriage, he would stick to her like glue. She could feel Wyatt's deep love more and more. Even if she became so fat and ugly during her pregnancy that she looked like a completely different person, she was still full of confidence. She absolutely believed that Wyatt would put everything down just to take care of her feelings.

Everyone's constitution was different. Despite the fact that God hadn't been kind to her throughout her pregnancy, she was willing to walk through fire to have her own child and be with such a wonderful husband.

People always said that you would know a man's true colors once you had a child with him.

"Hehe... Hehe!"

Victoria was lightly tapping her fingertips, and a smug smile appeared on her face. In an instant, a blush spread across Waverly's face. "Alright, I won't tease you anymore. You shouldn't tease me, either."

Happiness was contagious, after all. The Four Young Masters were close, and their friendship was well-known in Casterwich City. Honestly, Waverly was happy for Victoria when she saw how much Trevor cared for her. She believed that birds of a feather flocked together and that Wyatt would definitely be influenced by Trevor.

"Hehe."

She chuckled and looked like she was having fun. Victoria gently stopped her with one hand, for fear that she would get a cramp.

As they were talking and having fun, Trevor just got out of the car and sensed the pleasant atmosphere. He could not help but smile slightly.

It was said that women were the roots of humanity. Women apparently determined a family's harmony and warmth, as well as how lucky a family was and how much it would grow.

At that moment, Trevor found those sayings to be true. With Victoria around, the family seemed to be full of vitality. No matter what he experienced, he seemed to be full of strength. It was as if he could forget about everything as soon as he got home.

On his way upstairs, Trevor's footsteps were light and hurried.

Waverly got tired, so after bidding the two of them farewell, she went home first. After picking up Victoria and dealing with things at home, the two went to the prison. Trevor stayed in the waiting hall outside the door and did not go inside. While waiting for her, he saw Hazel pass by the iron fence on one side. He then walked over to the office.

"May I have a word with you, Officer?"

Actually, visiting hours weren't open that day. He had used his connections to get there, and the same police officer from last time had specially gone over to bring them in.

The policeman, who was greeting and talking to a few old acquaintances, turned around and saw Trevor. He was also very enthusiastic. "Mr. Clements, you don't have to be so polite. Just come in and sit down! These people are all my old colleagues. I'm not busy today, and I'm also waiting to adjust the data. If you have something to say, just say it. It's fine!"

He figured that Victoria might take a while, so Trevor didn't put on airs.

"It's nothing big, really. Just now... I think I saw this girl called 'Hazel' or something. Would you be able to tell me about her? If it's confidential information that you can't reveal then forget it. After all, I've had a few interactions with her, and I'm quite curious as to how a woman can be so cruel!" he revealed.

Trevor shrugged. He didn't show too much enthusiasm and acted as if it was just because Victoria had gotten kidnapped and abducted for no reason. In reality, though, they had been fighting to get half of the formula for years. Lamar had been poisoned, and he had put in a lot of effort to get his hands on that half of the formula. Trevor actually held a grudge toward Hazel and that drug's formula.

Even though the matter was now resolved and they were considered to be the victors, it still felt that everything was still concealed in a haze. There were a few problems that had yet to be dealt with.

At that moment, another policeman spoke up.

"Indeed. This case about international crime was really sensational! This officer over here has contributed a lot, and he's about to get a promotion. We'd be wasting time if all we did was wait, so we might as well say it and learn more from

it."

"That's right. Go ahead, Officer."

"Alright. In that case, I'll get to the point and give a brief explanation." The officer cleared his throat and organized his thoughts before continuing.

"Let me put it this way. This case is not as complicated as you think, but it also proves that the more unsuspecting someone is, the more you should pay attention to them. Hazel's real name is Alexa Sander. She was pretty, so someone tricked her into working early on She was a young girl in a big city, and she didn't have much of an education, so what could she do? It's a tale as old as time. She was bullied and scammed, and eventually ended up getting involved with drugs. Eventually, due to many reasons, she was forced to be a prostitute in a nightclub. Since she was young and beautiful, she was able to stay popular for several months in a row. She was infamous for that. She prioritized making money, so she eventually changed her name to Hazel Jackman and became the woman we know today. She's always been pitiful. I'm sure you're aware that drugs are incredibly expensive, so she just couldn't make ends meet. Not to

mention, there is no shortage of

young and beautiful women in places like nightclubs, so her career

went downhill in less than two years."

After taking a breath, the man went on speaking.

"It was then that she met a middle-aged man called Danny, who was an important person in her life. The two of them got along. On top of that she was pretty attractive, so she became his mistress. Danny was actually a researcher for the formula. He used to be a professional doctor, but his job put him under a lot of pressure and he didn't earn much money. He was a soft man who was a bit of a good-for-nothing, but he happened to have a wife who loved to argue and picked fights with him every day. There was always chaos in the house. According to him, after a big fight, he suddenly came up with the idea of becoming rich. However, medicine was all he knew, and he didn't have enough money or business experience after being a doctor for so many years. One day, while he was researching, something suddenly clicked in his brain and he actually developed the drug production formula. He took advantage of his qualifications and connections as a doctor. Soon, he made the first batch of drugs, but even though he had the products, selling them would be an issue. Thus, he often went to nightclubs to find people to be his dealers. They made a lot of money with the first batch, and the two started to make a fortune. Later on, a domestic anti-drug campaign and crackdowns on the internet made them unable to carry on, so they wanted to take advantage of loopholes and gradually moved the production site elsewhere. Dylan would

manufacture the products there while Hazel used her connections from the nightclub and her friends involved in drugs to gradually penetrate the industry. They managed to slowly develop their

business. Hazel was quite intelligent. After years of experience and getting hurt by men so many times, she became cruel!" noveldrama

"However, there's a limit to everything, which also applies to the world of drugs. Their business's development and publicity caused

the market to become

oversaturated, so they en

up in a

situation where there was too much supply in contrast to the demand. Some would consume too much, while others would be left to starve!

They experienced a few years of glory. Then, we don't know if they ended up offending someone, causing information to get leaked, or if it was because there were issues with the management due to people getting greedy for money. Either way, a bloody fight happened, and the factory there was destroyed. The prescription, naturally, was stolen, and Danny ran for his life. On the

other hand, Hazel stayed in the country and kept a low profile to conserve her energy."
