Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1849

"Drop the lawsuit?" Obviously, Seth was confused. He took off his coat and draped it over Waverly's body.

"I'll tell you the details later. Let's go back first!" Waverly said. There were more important things to do right then.

"Right, right. Let's go!"

Then, the two turned and walked to the parking lot. Just as Waverly had expected, Franklin did not leave but watched them from a distance. After making sure that they had come and left in the same fashion, he made a phone call and strode away.

After returning home, Seth called the police station to ask for information and updates from the lawyer. Waverly, on the other hand, took her notebook downstairs.

"Yes, you can pass the information to me first. I need an editor to come here right now."

When entered the door, that was what he heard. He was once again confused. He wanted to ask about it but never had the chance due to him and Waverly getting swarmed with calls. After waiting for half a day, the two finally had some free time, and the so-called editor showed up outside the door with a laptop. After that, all Seth could do was to suppress the doubts in his heart for the time being.

They chose a table in the corner of the living room. Waverly asked the servants to bring water and snacks, then told the servants to leave and even closed the curtains.

"Mr. Rahman, I have something important to do with the editor. You have to help us guard the door. I don't trust anyone else besides you. In short, you must not let anyone come in and disturb us until I tell you to come in. It's best if you keep the servants out, too. This is very important!"

She put deliberate emphasis on her statement. Waverly's expression was serious for once. She couldn't afford to make a mistake at the final stretch.

"Don't worry, Waverly."

Seth could vaguely sense what was going on. He walked out of the door and called the housekeeper over as well as a few security guards he was familiar with.

Meanwhile in the house, after Waverly greeted the editor, they communicated with each other and opened up all the footage that had been taken. As the editor did his job, she would give him pointers from time to time.

"Insert this scene. There shouldn't be too big of a difference in the time. The expressions we made while arguing, our movements, and even our mouth shape... Those things need to be magnified. Yes, as long as the upper part of the body is shown, that'll be enough. This will do..."

"Try to delete all the scenes where I have my head subconsciously lowered or where I'm looking at my cell phone."

"The phone on the ground should be clearly shown. Yes. You should add another picture to go with it as if the image has been dissected. It should be a bit eye- catching and give off a feeling of ridicule. Add some text that says 'What precious treasure was discovered here?'. Insert an emoji with a shocked face. It'd be best if you made it seem like a scandal of some sort."

They couldn't make the video seem too obvious in its intent.

Waverly was still thinking about it when the editor spoke up. He was clearly a professional from how he instantly understood what she was trying to say. "Should I make it seem like your phone is lit up, or should I blur it out?"

She clapped her hands and said, "Yes! Both of them. Make the phone seem like it's been turned out, and blur it out, too."

What had she spent so much time thinking for? The best way to get that news out without arousing suspicion was to make it seem like it was a love scandal. Issues related to cheating, affairs, and domestic violence were the most commonly seen in the media, as well as the most often discussed.

As long as they could fan the flames and get those so-called observant people to take notice of it, they could easily get rid of the chip, which was a ticking time bomb. Although she had to sacrifice her reputation, at least no one would draw the connection between her and the chip.

Moreover, this time around, Franklin had changed his outfit. The secret meeting between the two of them would seem even more suspicious. The more mysterious they were, the more curious people would be. When the time came, as long as she got someone to add fuel to the fire, it was possible that people would go and dig up his true identity. By the time his real identity was revealed, her bad reputation for secretly meeting up with him would be gone. She might even be seen as the victim. It was a win-win situation.

After quickly modifying the whole plan in her head, Waverly added, "Delete the scene of us leaving at the end."

If Seth was included in the video, the scandal about Waverly, who had just gotten married to a rich man, secretly meeting up with someone and threatening her marriage wouldn't blow up.

She had made the right decision by bringing Seth along.

The moment he was out of the picture, it didn't matter what kind of reputation she

had.

After they were done, the two of them checked and made modifications several times before they finalized them. Following that, Waverly called Seth in. Seeing the results of the video, Seth's jaw nearly dropped.

"What is the meaning of this, Waverly?" he asked.

Hadn't Franklin already agreed to drop the lawsuit? Why was she still painting herself in a bad light?

In truth, Seth knew a few details here and there. However, he had never expected that Franklin's ultimate goal was the chip in Waverly's hands. Hence, when he looked at the story depicted in the video, the gears in his head stopped spinning. "Don't ask for now. First of all, tell me what you can see in this video," she stated. Looking at the blurry images and the occasional captions, enlarged details, and clear mosaics, Seth spoke up.

"The video seems to be secretly taken! If I hadn't been there today, I would think that this was a real affair. However, the mosaic effect is somewhat professional. It's obvious that it was done as an expert."

Seth voiced his analysis while watching the video. When viewing it for the second time, he noticed that there was something reflected in the phone screen when it fell down, and Franklin obviously moved to grab hold of the phone. Suddenly, something occurred to Seth.

D*mn it!

Could it be that half of the formula that they had painstakingly searched for had been taken away by Franklin?

At first glance, it seemed to be an accident. It was as if Waverly didn't know, or perhaps she didn't expect it. In that instant, Seth's brain was buzzing. Things had gone bad! They were so close, but yet so far. If Wyatt found out, he might just die of rage.

"Here..."

Unconsciously, he pointed at the scene. Just as Seth was about to ask her, Waverly interrupted him. "You're right. The biggest flaw is that there are no flaws! The video is too professional and deliberate.

Since Seth had noticed it, that meant

they had achieved their main goal. However if even Seth could tell that the video was manufactured, others might suspect that the video fake too. If that were the case, the

was

effect would be greatly reduced and they might even lose everything.

Waverly muttered to herself in a deep voice. She then sternly said, "Add a few more mosaics. It can't be too eye-catching. Also, don't make the editing too clean. Make it seem a little choppy as if someone did it all manually..."

Once she gave the order, Waverly thought of something and stopped the editor. She said, "Undo all the mosaics. I'll do it myself!"

After that, the two of them swapped positions. She found a few details and casually added more mosaic effects as if she was hiding the

appearance of passers-by w net

might not want to show theicfaces. She also put a large mosaic on a young couple who had

unintentionally entered the frame. Finally, she added a mosaic to the phone screen. Not only was the screen brightly lit, but it was also somewhat blurry. An indecent image of a woman was on it. Outlines could still be vaguely seen through the mosaic. Most importantly, the magnified image clearly showed the reflection of the phone screen and half of the man's hand.

Seth's thoughts were haphazard as he watched them work. By the time he came back to his senses, Waverly and the editor were done modifying and verifying. Waverly also used her own skills to send the news to online influencers and gossip websites using various methods.

After everything was done, it was already eight o'clock in the evening. Waverly told the servants to get some food ready before finally letting out a sigh of relief. "You should eat before you go, Mr. Rahman. Thank you for your hard work over the past two days!"

"You're welcome, Waverly. It's what I should do."

Sitting down, Seth was looking for an opportunity to ask about how the SIM card

had been stolen when his phone suddenly rang. It was just like what Waverly had said. When he hung up the phone, he was also extremely excited.

"The lawsuit has been dropped, Waverly! Tomorrow we can go through the formalities and pick Wyatt up," he informed.

Seth floundered around uncharacteristically and said, "I'm not going to eat anymore. I'll go visit the lawyer and get some information. I'll come and pick you up tomorrow at 8 a.m., Waverly!"

He turned around and was about to run out of the door, but Waverly grabbed him

by the sleeve. "Wait. Before you pick up Wyatt, you have to help me donoveldrama

something."

Waverly whispered a few words into his ear as she stepped forward.

"Huh?"

Seth stared at her in disbelief. He wondered if there was something wrong with

her brain, or if it was his ears that had a problem.

"Do as I said. Before Wyatt get out,

we must stir up the news that he was detained. If that happens, then it'll make sense why I would go and meet Franklin when the video begins to spread... Wyatt will be released soon. If things blow up now, the authorities will definitely give us justice and clarify things for us

tomorrow. After all, Wyatt is a prominent person in Casterwich City. To put it bluntly, anything he does will directly affect the city's economy. Since our cooperation this time around was perfectly innocent, they will definitely help us clear things up as long as they have a brain. On the day that things blow up, Wyatt will be released, too. The timing will be just right, and it won't

affect what people think," she explained.

It would seem like something cruel and merciless had happened to them. People

would have to be idiots not to take their side.

Once the news got out, the bait she had placed would finally come into use. She

hoped that she could be able to completely get out of the situation this time

around.

Seth watched as she spoke in a clear and logical manner. Her mind didn't seem confused either. He narrowed his eyes in confusion. "I'm a little confused, Waverly. The thing in the strap..."

What exactly was it? Seth had yet to straighten out his thoughts before Waverly nodded her head gravely and said, "I know!"

Her words resounded loudly in the room. In that instant, Seth came to a sudden realization. He was once again dumbstruck.
