Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1569

"Waverly..."

"If there's nothing else, I want to take an early rest. I'm exhausted!"noveldrama

Just as she was about to raise her hand, Wyatt swung his arm down and took a step forward to block her way with his frustration written all over his face.

"No matter what you say, today's incident is my fault. I have to make amends!"

In an instant, Waverly fumed as she raised her volume.

"If I say no, then that's not necessary! My dad came to visit me. Whether he's happy or not has nothing to do with you! Do not disturb my family! You don't have the right!"

Nor would he have the right in the future!

With a roar, she pushed him away. Waverly strode into the mansion and slammed the door shut!

For a long time, Wyatt stood rooted to the spot and did not move an inch. Without realizing it, he stroked the watch on his wrist and closed his eyes, heaving a soft sorrowful sigh.

Followed by which, he withdrew his mobile phone as his fingers flew across the keypad to press a number, "Check a phone number for me!"

Soon, Wyatt turned around and left. Without delay, he rushed to Xin City. At the same time, he dialed Abel's number without hoping for him to pick it up. To his disbelief, the call was connected.

"Hello, who is this?"

A calm voice sounded in his ears. Wyatt was so nervous that his palms broke out in a cold sweat. "Mr. Castle? I'm Wyatt Johnson. My apologies for calling you at such a late hour and asking for forgiveness..."

On the phone, he solemnly expressed his apologies. Wyatt did not explain much. In fact, his main intention was to find out where Abel was right then. He must meet him. No matter how far it was, he had to apologize to him face-to-face.

Before he arrived at his destination, Abel had not expected to receive a call from the man. It turned out to be Wyatt!

His precious daughter did not reveal the slightest hint when she had been keeping him in suspense for a night. Was she afraid that he would have preconceptions toward Wyatt?

With how high of a status Wyatt had, although the dinner party at night stirred his slight displeasure toward Wyatt, Wyatt was known to be a busy man. Upon hearing that he would come over in the middle of the night, even if it was to have breakfast with him by traveling through hundreds of kilometers, Abel was, at least, satisfied with his attitude. In an instant, his emotions were calmed.

There were merely a few words as the two of them did not talk much. Soon after, the call ended. Wyatt ordered out loud, "Xin City's Stargaze Hotel! Be quick, make sure to arrive before dawn."

Later, Wyatt looked through the information sent by his men. On the screenshot, he could only vaguely see a middle-aged man in a casual suit. After all, there was a distance, and plus it was a screenshot, it was impossible to see his appearance clearly. Through the phone, however, Wyatt could feel that he was a cultured man and had quite a good impression of him.

As he had sent his men to search the hotel's surveillance cameras and track Abel's trail after leaving the hotel, he was only able to confirm the general direction. From beginning to end, Wyatt did not investigate Abel's identity and background. Instead, he rushed towards Xin City.

The hotel was booked in advance, and Abel did not change it. Upon his arrival at the destination, his mind flashed with the thought of borrowing a security guard's uniform from the janitor of the hotel. After estimating the time and making some simple arrangements, Abel then took a short rest.

On that night, Wyatt spent most of his time on the road.

When she returned to her room, Waverly's heart was completely empty. She stood in a daze for half the night, facing the grayish-blue bag beside her. For more than once, she had the idea of "returning the bag to its original owner". Before she went to bed, she had the box readied.

When Wyatt arrived at Stargaze Hotel, it was four o'clock in the morning. He remembered how Abel had mentioned that he had come to Xin City to accompany his old friend in watching the sunrise. The two promised to meet up ten minutes before Abel left the hotel. There was some time before dawn, but he dared not disturb the old man again. He booked a room, yet he decided against entering the room. All he did was instruct the driver along with the bellboy to move everything into the room before he took a seat on the sofa in the hall. Looking at the time, he dared not blink his eyes.

Sometimes, he would doze off in drowsiness, but as soon as he closed his eyes, he would get up to move around.

As time went by, he grew even more sleepy after a night's exhaustion. For fear of any more mistakes, he got up and bought a bottle of iced water from the counter in the hotel lobby to wash his face.

After checking the time, Wyatt circled the hall twice. He then found a corner where he could smoke a cigarette and pull himself together. His gaze inadvertently landed on the ornaments on the ceiling of the hotel. All of sudden, realization struck him that it was a five-star hotel.

Was Abel living in the hotel? He must be someone with a high status!

To put it bluntly, unless it was those who cared little about money, ordinary businessmen would not choose to live in such a high-end hotel unless there was a particularly important reason for it. It was not because they could not afford it, but along with a high-class hotel came a higher price of consumption. The price of all kinds of services in the hotel would be relatively high, imperceptibly increasing the "costperformance ratio". In comparison, if it was not to impress others by living beyond one's means, living in such a place could cause more trouble!

If Abel could live in such a place, he must be someone particular about details!

Wouldn't his mistakes be even more unforgivable? Should he go to the front desk

to consult and wait at the door of Abel's room?

He was there to apologize, so he shouldn't make any more mistakes!

Once the idea, flitted through Wyatt's

idea flit

mind, he speedily snuffed out the

cigarette butt and was about to head to the front desk when the door of the elevator opened all of a sudden. A middle-aged mandressed in a cleaner's suit pushed a trolley out. As their eyes met, Wyatt found him somewhat familiar, while Abel knew Wyatt and had just seen his photo, so he recognized him at a glance.

Seeing the face full of vicissitudes, the haggardness and dark circles under his eyes that could not be hidden, Abel's gaze lowered to see that one of Wyatt's hands was injured as well as his cracked watch. There must have been a lot of things that had happened that night. Smelling the lingering smoke, Abel had a vague guess, so he put on an act by nodding in a lowly manner, taking the initiative to greet Abel and stepping aside to make way for him.

"Morning, sir. Are you entering the elevator?"

Wyatt had felt that the old man's figure was familiar, but the moment Abel spoke, his voice sounded familiar to the ears. Catching sight of his gentle and elegant face, sensing his noble temperament, he could feel a sense of familiarity between Abel's eyebrows upon closer inspection. As a thought crossed his mind, he hurriedly smoothed his clothes.

"Are you Waverly Castle's father, Mr. Castle?"

"Sir, are you acquainted with my Waverly?"

Abel pushed the buckets aside as he walked to a corner of the elevator when he replied with a familiar voice. As if he was in a hurry to finish his work, he said, "I'm sorry, we can't chat anymore. It's time for me to work. I need to clean up before dawn!"

That night, Wyatt's brain was a mess. He did not find anything wrong with Abel who came all the way to Xin City to work as a janitor. Instead, he exclaimed in his heart when the realization struck him.

It was no wonder that the old man was in such a high-end hotel! He turned out to be an employee!

Without the slightest hesitation, Wyatt came forward and took over the mop in Abel's hand as he introduced himself, "Mr. Castle, I am Wyatt Johnson, Waverly's boyfriend. Let me help you!"

He had wanted to tell him to quit his job. Waverly lived in a grand mansion and was obviously concerned about her father, so how could he be short of money? Upon the second thought of how he was there to apologize, it was better not to speak recklessly, so sincerely, Wyatt thought that it was God's will to have a chance to behave well.

Watching him make the first move, Abel did not hesitate and allowed him to take the mop over, watching the man in suit mopping the floor in a solemn manner. As they cracked a conversation, Abel pointed and gestured at him on purpose. "Mop the corner. Don't leave out any blind corners. Money will be deducted from my salary!"

"Oh, you're the one who stood us up last night! Alas, I should have thought of it a long time ago. You're another young master with a handsome appearance! How could you take her seriously when you two are from families with so different backgrounds? Waverly must not have thought the consequences out!"

Turning around, Wyatt was shocked.

"Mr. Castle, I'm serious about Waverly. I've never had such a thought, and I didn't mean to offend you. I was muddle-headed from busyness, and I was negligent. I assumed that today is the day of our dinner! Mr. Castle, I'm sorry, I was rude. Please do not have any preconceptions about me. Please do accept my most sincere apology."

Respectfully, Wyatt bowed and was a step away from kneeling down. Before he could do so, Abel had pointed to a trash can near the corner of the flowerpot,

saying.

"Hey, over there. The dust. The dust. Don't stop! Don't stop! Continue!"

Turning around, Wyatt got back down to mopping the floor. He had never done house chores back at

home. Water droplets from the. flinging mop

e everywheret

It

was obvious that he could not do it weff, but wherever Abel pointed, he carefully mopped the floor back and forth. Not a single complaint was heard although he was instructed to mop throughout every corner of the place. During that period, the elevator door opened and closed several times with both guests and

workers entering the exiting the elevator, but he didn't stop. Although he was dressed in a top-notch formal suit doing a job that did not

fit his status...

As for Abel, he did not show the slightest mercy. Pointing at Wyatt for more than

an hour, he commanded him to map the entire hall, although it turned out worse

than not having mopped it in the first place.

After the mopping, the sun began to rise.

Wyatt was drenched in sweat.

"Mr. Castle, this work is exhausting. You're getting older, so your health is more

important. If you get hurt or tired, Waverly must feel sad! Say, if you love lively environments or want to exercise, I'll change your job to those that are simpler such as opening the door, is it all right?"

He thought that if he was direct in offering money, he was afraid that Abel would feel embarrassed, so he came up with another idea of offering his help.

"No! I've been working for decades. If I don't do it now, I'll indeed be sick." Abel nodded with a smile on his face.

"Help me pour the water! It's over! "

With someone his identity, it was rare for him not to show disgust towards the job. It seemed that he treated Waverly with some sincerity!

Abel pointed to a bathroom. With a nod, Wyatt pushed the dirty bucket and walked over. As soon as he turned the corner, a man with gray hair and a walking stick came from a chair on the side.

"It's not bad for a young man of his identity to get off his high horse! Awesome! Abel, she will live a happy life to be in the hands of this young man!"
