Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1562

"On Wednesday?"

He was indeed not busy on Wednesdays. As a result, he had tons of social activities to attend to those days.

"I seem to have an appointment with the manager of Greenville, President Young."

While pondering, Wyatt blurted out loud without realizing it.

Her "Oh..." dragged on.

Waverly was obviously disappointed as her face was filled with awkwardness. She didn't mean to test him on purpose, but hearing such an answer, there was a pang of uncomfortableness in her heart.

Did not being willing to meet her parents subconsciously reflect his inattentiveness and lack of effort towards their relationship?

Although they had a three-month promise, to Waverly, she had poured her heart out into the relationship. Since they had started their relationship, and since their feelings for each other were real, she hoped for a good ending. If she had tried hard but ended up not being together, she wouldn't regret her actions, but if she regarded the relationship as a plaything and ruined her future, it was her fault!

It was why Wyatt's words undoubtedly poured cold water on her at the moment.

In her mind, her father was experienced and knowledgeable. If they had a meal together, they would have some understanding of each other. Deep within her words, Waverly revealed her inner thoughts to him, but she had not expected her enthusiasm to dampen right after she mustered the courage to take the first step forward.

She paused for a long while before she continued, "It's alright. I was just saying. He's passing by. If you're busy..."

When she spoke once more, her thoughts and emotions were no longer the same as before, tinted with a trace of panic and sorrow. Indeed, her father was passing by, but he was not heading to Casterwich City. In fact, she had extended the invitation forward after hearing her father mention his trip to a neighboring city!

Upon returning to himself, Wyatt could sense the changes in her mood. He looked straight at her and grabbed her wrist on the table.

Instinctively, Waverly struggled with all her strength. Wanting to speak but stopped on second thought, her brows furrowed slightly before relaxing. From her face, Wyatt could tell that she was struggling in her heart at the moment. She must have done a lot of mental work for her not to withdraw her hand!

Clearly, she was throwing a fit!

"I'm busy every day, but I have to eat, no matter how busy I am, isn't it? Mr. Castle is coming all the way here, so how can I not act as the host? I'll rearrange the social activities, so we must have the meal on Wednesday! Just now, I was lost in thought, and it wasn't that I'm not responding to your question. Look, your chin is almost dropping to the floor..."

If he continued, she would cry out of grievances, wouldn't she?

Lifting her hand, Wyatt pecked a gentle kiss. "Waverly, I'm serious about you!"

Regardless of whether the two of them could end up together, he would fulfill his duty as Waverly's boyfriend! Since they were openly in a relationship, there was nothing he would hide!

As if her emotions were on a roller coaster ride, Waverly broke into a smile, her eyes curved into crescents. Her voice was choked with sobs. "So you agreed to it?"

"Yes! What does Mr. Castle like to eat? Shall we choose the Casterwich City Hotel? It's a landmark of Casterwich City. The environment is elegant, and the dishes are top-grade..."

Perhaps the people of Casterwich City did not take it to heart, or perhaps they found the dishes not worth the price charged, but for outsiders, Casterwich City Hotel was well-known as a symbol of the city.

"Okay! It's up to you. It's a simple meal. It doesn't have to be so grand. My father is easygoing, and he isn't a picky eater!"

In the blink of an eye, Waverly was in a completely different mood. As always, Wyatt's attitude towards her father was a reflection of his feelings toward their relationship.

As they chatted, the two ended the pleasant meal.

On that day, the two of them talked a lot about the Castle Family, but from the beginning to end, Wyatt did not ask about the family background or Abel's job because he believed that it would not affect their relationship, nor did he want Waverly to think that he cared a lot about her family background. It was why his focus was placed on Abel's preferences and Waverly's family members.

Similarly, Waverly would not bring it up on purpose. At the thought that the two of them would meet soon she was relaxed. Over the course of the night, their conversation revolved around the meal that was about to be served. Without any prior agreement, the two of them skipped a lot of important details.

In the next two days, Wyatt placed great importance on the matter. He had

booked a room early. Not to mention other gifts, what Waverly knew was that he

had prepared a pile of top-grade cigarettes, wine, and tea!

Although she had repeatedly

reaffirmed that her family wasn't

short of anything, Wyatt felt that she

was too reserved and did not take her words to heart. On the contrary, he felt the need to get everything ready as he should! To him, it was their first meeting, so he should not disappoint Abel. Holding a grand dinner was a must!

In the end, Waverly could only watch him give his orders. It was not that she was

not capable of stopping him, but that she had no strength to complain. She allowed him to do as he pleased, but deep down, her heart fluttered.

Soon it was Tuesday. At night, Waverly called her father to remind him about the dinner.

After a brief chat, she heard Abel mentioning how time was tight and his thoughts about not attending the dinner. In an instant, Waverly's face fell.

"Dad, how could you do this? Didn't we agree on it? He prepared a lot of gifts for you! Not to mention how he booked the best dining room in Casterwich City Hotel. He specially instructed his men to buy your favorite sandalwood and sent it over!" Howling in distress, Waverly resembled an angry kitty with fluffed-out fur. She thought about how she had thrown a tantrum with Wyatt over the dinner and requested him to change his schedule. If her father stood her up, what should she say? If the dinner couldn't be held as promised, wasn't she fooling Wyatt around? Wouldn't he have endless complaints?!

"Everything is ready. How do you expect me to explain to him?"

As she spoke, Waverly felt the sudden urge to burst into tears from grievances. It

was supposed to be a happy event, so how did it end up that way?

Scratching her hair in annoyance, she suddenly regretted having acted on impulse!noveldrama

With how well he knew his daughter, Abel could sense her abnormal emotions in one sentence.

"Waverly, who is so important to you that it has to be such a rush? If he's my future son-in-law, I'll even stay for two more days, let alone change the schedule! Tell me, is this person important to you?"

When she made the suggestion, she was not as aggressive as she claimed the other party to be a very good friend!

"Dad..."

Waverly softly called out in embarrassment. After all, she knew that her father was

in a dilemma.

There was no need for her to say anything more as Abel had understood. "All right! I get it, you're all grown up! I'll naturally prioritize my baby daughter's affair!"

How could there be anything more important than her relationship and marriage?

"I'll be there at 6 o'clock. I won't miss the

dinner!"
