It was a thirty eight minutes drive, but they were finally at his house.

“Hey, where’s Mr Lorenzo?” Asher asked the maid.

“He went to the bathroom. He asked me to prepare a meal for the guest you were bringing sir”, the maid answered.

“Would you still want a meal?” Asher asked Vanessa.

“I’m fine, thank you” Vanessa responded with a smile.

“Pack it up. She’d take it when she’s going home”, Asher ordered.

Vanessa was about to refuse but he insisted. Not wanting to cause a scene, she accepted. Mr Lorenzo took about twelve minutes but he was finally out.

“This is the house she was seen with some men and the main lady in suspect”, the policeman said alighting at the house Vanessa was kidnapped in. The truck as described was also there.

“It looks quiet and empty. Are you sure we are at the right place?” Miles asked.

“There’s only one way to find out. Let’s search round”, the policeman concluded.

They began their search but there was no sign.

“Hey, can I see that?” Miles asked one of the policemen to pass him the scarf that was on the floor. The man did.

“This looks like Vanessa’s,” Miles said out loud. Sniffing it, he yelled “It wore our perfume scent. Someone must have informed them about our coming. Let’s split up and move down both roads, checking every corner”.

They did so but she was nowhere near being found.

It was already five hours of thorough searching. It was already late in the night.

“Sir, we would be heading back to continue our investigations”, a policeman informed Miles. The police locked the building’s gate with their own padlock hoping to draw the residents to their station for investigations. They left the scene and went back to Beverly Hills. Miles went on to check Lance’s and Trey’s condition at the hospital. They were better but both still worried about Vanessa.

“We would see her soon , I know it” Miles told the men.

“When will you be discharged?”Miles asked.

“Doctor, how’s his condition?”, the secretary from the club asked.

“Well not so good. He will need surgery because he had suffered internal organs damage”, the doctor responded.

“Just tell me if you want us to continue the treatment and carry on the surgical process”, he added.

“Yes you can”, she answered.

Andre was about to undergo six different surgeries and would need lot of time to recover.

Doing some catch up, getting to know who she was better, Lorenzo offers to help Vanessa with fifty percent of the debt left. Asher just got in but he was early and didn’t seem to happy. He just sat on the cream couch in the living room, not noticing the two people there.

“What happened son?, you look sad”, Lorenzo asked.

“One of my friend was involved in a fire accident. I’m just worried about him. He is set to undergo surgery”, Asher answered.

“Did you go check on him at the hospital?” Vanessa threw in.

“I did, but I couldn’t get to meet him. The surgery had already started”, he answered.

“Son, he will be fine. I’ll need you to help Vanessa home tonight”, Lorenzo ordered.

“I am going out soon to celebrate with a friend”, he added.

Asher nodded in agreement. Vanessa knew he needed comfort so she went up to him on the couch and wrapped her hands with his, trying to calm him down.

Twenty five minutes later, Vanessa and Asher were set to leave.

“Thank you for everything. My regards to Mr. Lorenzo too”, Vanessa said as they got into the car. It was a Lamborghini car. She was leaving like she was just coming back from a big vacation. They handed her cash and food. Vanessa had gone cloth shopping too on their way back from the hospital. It will be an hour and half drive to her house. They were already on their way.

“I just spoke with the doctor, and he said you both can go home now. But, you will have to be back for daily treatments and check-ups”, Miles announced.

“Thank you so much son, but please I want to know. Are they bills paid?”, Lance asked.

“Don’t you bother about it. Myself and Doc have had it sorted out”. Miles answered.

“Let’s go home.” He added with a smile, helping Lance out of the bed. Trey was much good and better, this is also because he was younger and still very much healthy. His body recovery was also very rapid.This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

An hour after they got home, a car was parked in front of the house. It was Asher and Vanessa. Miles saw them and ran outside. Vanessa was hugging Asher goodbye.

“Oh wow! So you’ve been out seeing other men, where people around actually thought you had been kidnapped”, Miles yelled.

“Please Asher, don’t say a word. Let him make a fool of himself”, Vanessa said calmly to him.

“You are not going to say anything?” Miles asked. Lance and Trey were coming out of the house, Vanessa ran to them and it led to a huge family hug with tears flowing down her eyes.

“I miss you Dad”, Vanessa said, not able to control her tears.

Asher was putting down her stuff from the car so he could carry them inside. As he walked towards the door, Miles stopped him.

“You are not welcome here”, Miles told Asher. Vanessa looked back at Miles and yelled,

“Is this your father’s house or your house?!”

Miles was quite numb and didn’t even know how to react. Asher got the things inside and was set to leave.

“Please don’t go yet. Meet my family first” Vanessa asked Asher. “Don’t mind him, he’s just being- , you know Protective of his girl,” she added. Vanessa had informed him of how clingy, protective and possessive Miles can be. She had told him to be careful because he was a really jealous guy and can go wild if he sees his woman with another man, but all that did not matter now.

Asher got in and the discussion started. She was sitting with her man and he curled his hands around her neck.

“His father saved me from my kidnappers. I found a way to escape, so while I was being chased he pulled over and helped me in his car” Vanessa said.

“… hmm, I have to go now. I just received a text message, I have to be with my dad now. Some other time”, Asher smiled and waved bye to the family. It was just a lie. He was already developing feelings for Vanessa and wasn’t enjoying the view of her and Miles. He hasn’t liked anyone in a long time since he broke up with his ex girlfriend for cheating on him with his friend.

“Bye!”. They all said and waved to him except Miles of course.

“Sis, what really happened to you?” Trey asked. Miles had informed them not to say anything about what happened to them while she was gone. “It might cause her to panic and get too scared”, he said.

“Yes please, my daughter , tell me how you got lost. I had lost my head and my mind” Lance added. She released a sigh.

“We are waiting”, Miles concluded.

“Okay fine” she answered.
