Chapter 615 No Worries
Chapter 615 No Worries
Jean knew she had to talk to Avery and clear some issues regarding her responsibilities and decisions
about her career. Seeing Zed smiling and nodding at her in agreement, Jean was thankful that he was
very supportive of her own decisions and even managed the business that she couldn't help. She then
turned her gaze to Avery and before speaking, she let out a sigh. "I understand that you don't want us
to interfere with your decisions, since you chose to treat us this way and conceal us from everything,
deciding without asking for our opinions. However, when Moore finally reciprocated your love, I couldn't
help but work out options as well, so I asked Zed to handle this matter for your sake and everyone
else's. In line of this, Avery, let me ask you a question. Are you really determined to retire from the
show business? For the sake of Moore?"
Jean asked with a serious look on her face.
Upon hearing Jean's question, Adolf's eyebrows furrowed into a frown.
'What should be done? What's the solution?
Does she really ask Avery to quit the showbiz?' he thought.
Adolf's train of thoughts was interrupted when Avery cleared her throat. Without hesitation, Avery
nodded and added, "I don't want to be away from Moore. Retiring from showbiz is the only choice for
me so that I could conveniently be with him."
"Avery..." Moore choked. Her words stunned Moore.
He had known from Adolf about Avery's great affection for him, but he was still shocked to really
witness how much Avery would do just to be with him. He felt his heart race, because it was also the
first time that Avery really told him out loud that she was willing to quit her passion and career for the
sake of him.
Hearing Moore's call for her, Avery turned to him and gave him a reassuring smile before she
explained. "Oh, Moore, you don't have to feel guilty and obliged. I really just want a reason to quit," she
said, looking at him with bright eyes in an attempt to comfort him and relieve him from the heavy feeling
he was probably feeling.
Moore cocked an eyebrow and questioned with doubt, "Really?"
Deep in his heart, Moore didn't believe Avery's farfetched excuse. He knew that Avery was just saying
it for the sake of him, even though she was really doing this for him. Still, he thought that Avery was
already going through so much and questioning her more about it would just bring her more problems.
Avery frowned at him and replied back in a soft voice, "Of course, how could I lie to you?"
Moore didn't know how to respond to that and instead, he forced a weak smile on his face. When he
was pressured to think of a reply, Jean had saved him and interjected. She felt like they were already
diverting away from her purpose of talking to Avery.
"Enough about that. Let's get to the point. Avery, since you are really willing without hesitation to quit
showbiz, I believe that would be easy to handle. Then again, you shed blood, sweat, and tears to earn
money, so let me ask you another question again. Maybe you're willing to quit, but are you willing to
hand over your hard-earned money to the hands and the benefits of others? I am certain that you are
reluctant just by seeing your reaction right now. Correct me if I'm wrong. That's why we have come up
of a way for you to still continue spending your time and efforts in show business and still have time
and the convenience to see Moore often."
Avery's eyes lit up at the sound of that. She felt excitement and curiosity fill her that she couldn't help
but ask, "What is it, Jean?"
"I apologize if I keep asking you questions, but let me ask another one. I will offer you a choice wherein
you can still continue embarking on the show business but not in your previous company, so the
question is, are you okay with working under a new one?" Jean asked, eyeing Avery intently.
"Really? Continue embarking on the show business? But that's impossible," Avery said, giving Jean a
sad smile before she continued. "The entertainment company I work for can't satisfy my request to stay
here, so..."
"You're not listening to me well. I didn't ask you to keep on working for the company you are under now.
What I'm trying to say is that, there is another company willing to satisfy your request, and it is Baiton
Entertainment Corporation. In fact, it is much better than your previous company in terms of their
employees' policies regardless of team or resources." With a huge smile on her face, Jean announced
in a loud and proud voice.
Of all the people present in the room, Adolf was shocked and stunned the most. He stared at Jean with
wide eyes and couldn't believe what she had said at all. "What? Baiton Entertainment Corporation?"
Jean turned to Adolf and nodded in affirmation. "Yes, I haven't mentioned it wrong. If I'm not mistaken,
you are clear about their strengths."
Adolf nodded at Jean with a smile. He turned to Avery and said, "Avery, what Jean has offered is a
better choice than quitting showbiz. Working for Baiton Entertainment Corporation will be much better
for your career development than working under Royal Entertainment Corporation. You have my full
blessing if you accept this company's offer." Without waiting for Avery's response, Adolf turned to Jean
again and questioned, "But, is this news really credible?"
"Well, of course. Although you probably think that I don't have the power to arrange everything for
Avery to work in that company, which is true, I don't, but fear not, because Zed certainly has. A little fun
fact, Juan Bai, the CEO of Baiton Entertainment Corporation, is a friend of Zed. Once Avery agrees to
this proposition, Zed will just make one phone call and the company itself will arrange everything for
Avery's employment. However, that's not the end of it. All of us know how sincere and caring you are
for Avery, and when Zed had mentioned that to Juan, the CEO himself personally invited you to work
under this company as well." Adolf was dazed by Jean's words that he lost his words. For a long while,
he was surging with delight and felt as if he was floating in cloud nine before he finally got back to his
senses. He looked at Jean with sparks in his eyes and replied, "Really? Tell me, I'm not dreaming, am
I?" Adolf was really taken aback that he still couldn't believe everything that had come out of Jean's
mouth. He forcefully pinched himself to prove whether or not he was just in a dream. Immediately, he
felt pain and grimaced but was instantly replaced by joy again when he confirmed that he was awake.
Everyone chuckled at him. Adolf just ignored them and turned to Avery.
"Avery! I'm not dreaming! It's true! Did you hear it? I can also work for Baiton Entertainment
Corporation, and honestly, I have never dared imagine that I would really get a chance too." With bright
eyes, Adolf gazed at Avery, who was also smiling back at him.
Avery couldn't keep his happiness as well and her eyes sparkled in delight.
'How could this matter be settled right away?
I really thought that I would have to quit showbiz, but because of Jean and Zed, they make it possible
for me to solve this problem without compromising my own career, ' Avery wondered.
At the thought of this, Avery unconsciously glanced at Jean and Zed, giving them a smile of full
gratitude. She didn't know what she had done to be blessed with such great friends.
When everyone had immersed in their own joy, Zed spoke, "Before I forget, Juan told me as well that
after he comes here by plane and meets the two of you, he wants all his markets and businesses here
to be managed and developed by the two of you.
When that time comes, you can talk to him more about it and if you also have any more requests."Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
"What? Really?" Avery's eyes widened in shock. This news was so amazing for her that she couldn't
help but pause to take everything in before she continued, "Does that mean Adolf and I can stay here
for good?"
"Well, Isn't that your dream? Juan will set up the branch of Baiton Entertainment Corporation here in H
City, and since you will be working there, you will have the opportunity to be with Moore often," Zed
added with a huge smile on his face.
"God, I still can't believe this is really happening!" Adolf exclaimed and couldn't help himself. He was
used to behave sedately, but this news was making it difficult for him to suppress his excitement,
making him forget how he should be acting. Then again, he realized something, making his eyebrows
furrow. "I apologize and I really appreciate all of this, but why do I feel like all of this is for the sake of
Avery and Moore to be together?"
Zed nodded slowly and said, "Well, yes. It is just what you have felt. To be honest, I only mentioned all
this to Juan in a casual conversation, and I was surprised that Juan had remembered all of the things I
had said."
Before anyone could talk once more, Moore, who was just being silent on the side, grabbed the chance
and couldn't help asking, "Forgive me if I sound like prying, but, Zed, what on earth is your relationship
with Juan?"
He couldn't help but ask in curiosity, because the more he heard about all this, the more astonished he
felt.
"Hmm, well, how should I describe it?" Zed paused to rack his brain, thinking of how to answer Moore's
question. "Honestly, I can't think of the right words to describe our relationship. If you are really curious,
once he comes here, you will know right away."
Without saying anything more, Moore eyed Zed, taking a thoughtful and deep look at him.
Meanwhile, Jean was disappointed. She expected Zed to have a definite answer to Moore's question,
making her more curious as to what it was. With a fixated gaze on Zed, she said, "Maybe you're
embarrassed to tell us. If not, then how come you can't describe it?"
"Oh, Jean," Zed said. He gave Jean a smirk before he responded again, "Believe me. It's not what you
think it is."
Jean blushed at Zed's reply and smirked. She didn't expect that Zed would see through her mind and
know what she was thinking. "What do I think?" She asked, turning bright red.
"You think that our relationship is very intimate and mysterious. In all honesty, my relationship with Juan
is just... absolutely pure. To put it simply, we are friends willing to die for the sake of the other."
Zed paused, because he couldn't help but sigh at how Jean was looking at him. He continued, "That is,
when either one of us is in danger, the other will be willing to save the one in danger even at the
expense of his own life. Do you understand now?"
"Yes, I get it now." After replying, Jean eyed Zed and asked, "But, why don't I know that you have such
a friend?"
"Well, I..." With a bitter irony to the situation, Zed paused, thinking about how to give her a proper reply.
As a matter of fact, Jean was unclear about a lot of things about his life. This was just one of them.
However, how could he explain it now? Jean noticed that Zed seemed to be in a dilemma as to how to
reply. Before he could clear his thoughts, she decided to change the topic.
"Well, since everything has been resolved, we can now free ourselves from the worry that has been
bothering us." Jean then turned to Avery and smiled, "Avery, you can rest assured now. If you still have
any more request, don't hesitate to tell us, okay?"
"Yes, I understand now that I should never conceal anything from you in the future,"
Avery replied with embarrassment and looked rather shy.
Jean felt assured at Avery's promise. She then turned to Moore and smiled at him.
Moore looked back at Jean with an apologetic face. He felt sorry for making her worry about matters
and issues related to him.
Noticing Moore's expression, Jean shook her head to assure him that he had nothing to worry about,
and that she hoped that her smile would let him know that she would still be willing to help in the future.
Moore saw this and gave her a weak smile. Feeling satisfied, Jean shifted her gaze to Zed and hugged
his arm.
"Speaking of Juan, when will he come here, Zed? Hearing about your pure relationship with him, I
could hardly wait to meet this Juan,"
Jean said, looking like a spoiled child as she battered her eyelashes at Zed.
