Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

Spencer was prepared to depart when Nelly ascended the steps, but in the blink of an eye, someone opened his passenger door from the outside and glided into his vehicle, settling into the passenger seat.

Spencer scowled at the individual before him. “Can I be of assistance to you?”

Alpha Kilian gazed at him intently. “Indeed, I have a matter to inquire about.”

Spencer’s eyes narrowed. “I daresay we are not that familiar, Alpha Kilian.”

“Is that truly significant?” Alpha Kilian countered.

Spencer took a deep breath before he could utter a response, but Alpha Kilian beat him to it. “You are Nelly’s acquaintance, therefore, you are my associate as well. It is merely a matter of time before we become close.”

Spencer reluctantly swallowed the retort that lingered on his tongue.

Very well! You possess a smooth tongue.

“Tell me then, what do you require from me?” Spencer inquired, getting straight to the point.

“How much do you know about Nelly’s parents?” Alpha Kilian asked directly.

Spencer’s gaze narrowed as he scrutinized Alpha Kilian. “Is that a challenging query to answer?” Alpha Kilian questioned upon observing the expression on Spencer’s face.

The corners of Spencer’s mouth curved into a smile. “I am merely contemplating the irony of fate. You two were the sole witnesses present on that day, yet you cannot recall a single thing.” Alpha Kilian’s eyes darkened. “Are you also aware of my memory loss?”

Spencer raised an eyebrow. “I have heard Nelly mention it in passing.”

Alpha Kilian pressed his lips together, engrossed in thought for a moment.

Spencer continued, “I do not possess much information regarding Nelly’s parents. You understand how she is. She carries everything on her own and refrains from divulging anything to others. All I know is that she has not abandoned her pursuit for the truth all these years, but she has made no progress.”

Alpha Kilian clenched his lips tightly, his gaze shifting back to Spencer after pondering for a while. “Have you known her for a considerable amount of time?”

Spencer arched an eyebrow once more upon hearing the question. “I did not meet her as early as you did. Nevertheless, we go way back. Perhaps when she was around twelve years old?”

Alpha Kilian simply stared at Spencer without uttering a word.

Amusement filled Spencer when he detected a flicker of something in Alpha Kilian’s eyes. It was not a competition, but men often harbored sporadic competitive streaks. Chuckling mysteriously, he spoke in a cryptic tone, “That is all I can disclose. If you desire further information, you will have to inquire with her.”

A faint smile played on Alpha Kilian’s lips. “I am merely making inquiries. I did not intend to unearth anything. Everyone has a few friends, do they not?” So what if he has known her for a long time? In the end, he is merely her friend. He is not worthy of my jealousy.

Yet, the more indifferent Alpha Kilian attempted to appear, the more Spencer sensed his smoldering jealousy. Men understood their kind the most. Not only did they possess occasional competitive streaks, but they also harbored a nature of jealousy.

“Very well.” Spencer nodded. If you believe it to be inconsequential, then I shall refrain from discussing it.

Alpha Kilian opened the door and prepared to exit the car.

Since there is no useful information, there is no point in wasting my time here.

Just as Alpha Kilian was about to depart, Spencer offered, “Alpha Morris, I am not entirely useless. If you so desire, I can contemplate aiding you in recovering your memories.”

Alpha Kilian’s movement momentarily paused before he turned his head towards Spencer.

“Come to me once you have thought the matter through,” Spencer stated.

Alpha Kilian cast another glance at him before closing the door.

Subsequently, Spencer drove away and disappeared into the bustling main street.

Alpha Kilian stood there, glaring at the receding taillights of the vehicle with narrowed eyes.

Meanwhile, in the company, Nelly ventured to the pantry to refill her cup of water during her break. Coincidentally, Sarah from reception also made her way there. She approached Nelly’s side upon spotting her.

“Nelly, why are you lost in thought?”

Nelly snapped out of her daze and turned to look at Sarah. “Nothing.”

“You are thinking about Alpha Morris, aren’t you?” Sarah inquired.

Nelly was taken aback by the mention of Alpha Kilian’s name, but she quickly shook her head in denial. “No.”

Sarah did not believe her. “Alpha Morris is so kind to you. He picks you up and drops you off at work every day. How romantic!”

“No, he hasn’t!” “We all witnessed it!”

“What did you all see?”This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Alpha Morris, of course! I caught sight of him earlier when I went downstairs to retrieve some documents. Wasn’t he here to drop you off?” Sarah leaned her arm against Nelly’s shoulder, wearing an envious smile as if her imaginative scenario was the truth.

Nelly was momentarily stunned.

She saw Alpha Kilian downstairs earlier? “Are you certain it was him?” Nelly questioned.

“Nelly, remarkable men like Alpha Morris stand out regardless of the setting. I would not mistake him for someone else even with severe nearsightedness.” Sarah asserted vehemently.

Nelly remained silent upon hearing Sarah’s confident response and mulled over Alpha Kilian’s appearance when he left the house.

But why is he here?

Her ringing phone interrupted her thoughts. She reached for her phone, squinting her eyes when she saw the name flashing on the screen. “What is it, Nelly?” Sarah inquired.

“I have something to attend to, Sarah.” Without waiting for Sarah’s reply, Nelly headed towards the exit.

Sarah furrowed her brows, staring at Nelly’s departing figure, but she did not dwell on it and left the pantry with a cup of coffee.

Back at her desk, Nelly typed a series of codes into the computer. The screen flickered, taking her to another webpage.

The bounty list has not yet been revealed, but someone sent me a private message. It’s Sam from Darknetz.

Sam asked: Why are you searching for the design of the tattoo?

Shadow Seeker replied: That is my affair.

Her profile picture, shrouded in darkness until now, suddenly cast an eerie glow. In that moment, the aura of the room shifted, and Sam sensed the gravity of the information she held. Sam spoke cautiously, his voice tinged with a hint of mystery, “I know not why you seek this knowledge, but heed my counsel. Do not venture deeper into this, no matter the allure.”

Shadow Seeker, intrigued by Sam’s words, inquired, “You possess knowledge of the design?” Sam hesitated for a moment before responding, “Yes, in some capacity.”

Eager to uncover the secrets, Shadow Seeker proposed a deal. “Name your price. I can acquire whatever it takes, regardless of the cost.” Sam, slightly taken aback, replied with a touch of irony, “Do you assume I am driven by wealth?” Shadow Seeker insisted, “You may ask for anything you desire.” Sam contemplated his next move as his eyes fixed on the screen.

As a silence hung in the air, Sam realized the weightiness of his request lingered heavily upon her. Darknetz had persistently pursued her, attempting countless methods to recruit her allegiance. Yet, she had steadfastly resisted their advances. Sam, testing the limits of her resolve, questioned, “What if I were to invite you to join Darknetz?”

Nelly, lost in contemplation, stared at the screen, the flickering light casting eerie shadows across her face.

The silence grew, as Sam anxiously awaited her response. Nelly had been a prime target for recruitment by many organizations, yet her reluctance remained unyielding. Other factions had desperately sought her talents for years, only to be met with steadfast refusal. It seemed as though she was quietly fading away, and most organizations had given up hope. Even Darknetz was teetering on the edge of surrender. Yet, they were acutely aware that securing Shadow Seeker’s allegiance was nigh impossible. The offer of three favors seemed sufficient.

Sam’s excitement mingled with apprehension when a message from Shadow Seeker finally arrived: “I have sworn to my family to forsake that world. However, I can pledge to fulfill three of your requests!” Bewildered by her response, Sam grappled with the weight of this unexpected turn.

But Shadow Seeker’s recruitment transcended Sam alone. She steadfastly rejected joining any organization, despite their persistent advances. Years of solicitations had left her unmoved, seemingly on the path to seclusion. Most organizations had resigned themselves to the unattainable. Darknetz teetered on the precipice of surrender. Yet, they understood the futility of expecting Shadow Seeker’s cooperation. Three favors already held significant value.

Sam’s thoughts raced, a mixture of excitement and trepidation, as he considered the implications of her offer. Yet, lingering concern over the tattoo design clouded his mind. Typing carefully, he expressed his worries, “I fear for your safety, for whether you can fulfill the three promises made after learning its true nature.”

Nelly’s eyes narrowed, fixated on the glowing screen before her. “I know Sam well, despite never meeting him in person. Darknetz’s incessant pestering to recruit me acquainted me with his existence. He is not one to exaggerate or instill fear needlessly,” she reflected.

Shadow Seeker’s response resonated with determination and a fierce loyalty seldom witnessed. “Worry not, for I shall compensate you with something equal in value to my life.” Sam’s gaze narrowed, scrutinizing the words on the screen. Shadow Seeker, renowned in the hacker community for her unwavering caution, did not make promises lightly. The significance of the information to her must be unparalleled.

After much contemplation, Sam finally relented. With a sense of quiet surrender, he replied, “Very well, I shall divulge the truth…”
