Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

After watching them leave, Alpha Kilian and Nelly also got into their car. Letting out a low growl, Alpha Kilian whipped out his phone. “Fabian, get someone to contact Sharon’s agent. Tell her we’re interested in getting Sharon to be our brand ambassador.” Nelly raised her gaze towards him, her wolf eyes flashing with curiosity.

Right then, Fabian answered, “What? Our company isn’t looking for a brand ambassador.” Alpha Kilian’s jaws clenched. “What if I want one?” he snarled. “Well… you can have one, I suppose,” Fabian stammered, intimidated by the Alpha’s authority.

Alpha Kilian growled, “So, I need to get a nod from you before I make my decisions, is it?” Fabian felt a wave of fear wash over him. “No, Mr. Morris. That’s not what I meant!” he whimpered.

But Alpha Kilian was already impatient. “Cut the crap, then!” he barked. Fabian got worried about the sudden request for a female celebrity. Is Mr. Morris losing his self-control again? After some hesitation, Fabian decided to give some advice. “Mr. Morris, does Ms. Jackson know you’re asking Sharon to be your brand ambassador?”

Alpha Kilian frowned and glanced at Nelly. She seemed to know what Fabian was about to say next. “Is there a problem?” Alpha Kilian growled.

“I’m worried about you, that’s all. Aren’t you pursuing Ms. Jackson? Don’t you think things might get complicated if she finds out about it?” Fabian asked. Nelly smiled when she heard that. She knew what Fabian was aiming for.

“Why would you say so?” Alpha Kilian growled.

“What if she misunderstands you? Will you be able to explain yourself?” Fabian asked. Nelly’s smile grew wider. She couldn’t believe how easy it was to manipulate these humans.

Alpha Kilian sighed and shook his head. “Fine. Why do you think I’m doing this, then?” Fabian fell silent. He knew the Alpha’s intentions were not pure.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

“Um…” Fabian uttered awkwardly, feeling the tension build. “Well, Mr. Morris, I bet you’re just looking after the company’s reputation! You surely won’t fall into any temptation.”

“What if I have other ideas in mind?” Alpha Kilian replied. Fabian fell silent again. Nelly scoffed at the human’s lack of courage. She could smell his fear.

Alpha Kilian knew Fabian was anxious. “Just do as I say!” he barked, ending the call and throwing the phone aside. Nelly smiled when she saw that. She then nodded and praised, “Fabian is nice.”

Alpha Kilian had rarely seen Nelly smile. Although it wasn’t an actual smile, her wolf demeanor was visible.

Alpha Kilian pretended to be annoyed. “Since you’re going to keep Fabian in your pocket, doesn’t that mean he’ll be your informant from now on?”

Nelly raised her brows. “I’m not bribing your men. Judging by what just happened, you seem to have a person close to you who’s capable of thinking straight!”

Alpha Kilian smiled at her. “How I wish you would bribe him!” He was enjoying their banter.

Nelly glared at him in response, knowing what he meant. However, she wasn’t keen on playing along. Instead, she changed the topic and said, “Frankly, I don’t think you need to make Sharon your brand ambassador just for Donna’s sake.”

Alpha Kilian’s wolfish eyes narrowed. “Why do you say that?” he asked, his voice deeper.

Having noticed that Alpha Kilian had taken the bait, Nelly said, “Sharon seems nice.” She wanted to test the waters.

Upon hearing Nelly praising Sharon, Alpha Kilian’s ears perked up. “Nice? What do you mean?” he asked, his voice almost snarling.

Nelly knew she had to tread carefully. “I just mean that she seems… pleasant. That’s all.”

Alpha Kilian’s eyes narrowed further. “Did you find out about something?” he growled.

Nelly cursed herself inwardly. She had gone too far. She tried to backtrack. “I shouldn’t say anything about that,” she said, trying to sound innocent.

Alpha Kilian’s voice was laced with fury. “The past is the past. Although it was just a show, the pain I inflicted on Nelly was real. There’s no denying that. Now, I just need to do whatever it takes to make it up to her. I need to prove myself.”

As they arrived at the entrance of Prosper Technologies, Alpha Kilian’s wolf eyes scanned the crowd of humans. He wasn’t pleased with what he saw. Nelly got out of the car, her wolf tail high with pride.

Right then, Ross, Tommy, and Chris arrived, their human scent strong. The three of them were chatting among themselves listlessly until they saw Nelly. Their wolfish eyes lit up.

“Ms. Jackson!”

“Ms. Wealthy!” Ross and Tommy called out at the same time. Nelly turned around and smiled when she saw them. The three of them then dashed towards her.

“Ms. Jackson, are you coming back to work already?” Ross asked. “Yes!” Nelly nodded, her wolf ears perking up. “I’ve rested long enough.”

“Ah, finally! You have no idea how boring the office was without you!” Tommy said, his wolf tail wagging.

Chris was more reserved. “Are you well now, Boss?” he asked.

“Of course! Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to come back to work,” Nelly answered.

Ross and Tommy exchanged wolfish glances before moving to each side of Nelly. Chris followed behind. Alpha Kilian watched from inside the car, his jaws clenched. He didn’t like this at all. But he knew he had to keep up appearances.
