Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

Fabian’s keen werewolf ears picked up the distant sound of a car engine as it gradually faded away into the night. It was not until the car had disappeared completely that he turned to Mr. Morris, the Alpha of their pack, and spoke in a low, cautious tone.

“Mr. Morris, don’t you feel that Ms. Jackson seems very different tonight?” Fabian asked, his eyes narrowed with suspicion.

The Alpha, his golden eyes gleaming with a hint of curiosity, responded with a deep voice. “How so?”

“For starters, her existence feels… legendary. She effortlessly dismisses the advances of those who seek her affection, while others struggle in vain,” Fabian explained, his voice filled with awe.

Alpha Kilian’s eyebrow quirked, his interest piqued. “Oh? What did she win?”

Fabian chuckled softly before answering, “Your heart, of course! Countless women have tried to win your favor just to gain entry into the prestigious Morris family, but none have succeeded. Yet, Ms. Jackson, with her three children, holds a seemingly unbeatable trump card. She has impressed us all.”

Alpha Kilian, however, sneered coldly in response, his voice dripping with defiance. “Since when has Nelly won me over? Her actions betray nothing but fear and avoidance.”

Deflated, Fabian sensed a hint of defeat in Alpha Kilian’s words. The Alpha’s frown deepened as he continued, his voice filled with frustration. “You think she has won, but the truth is, she doesn’t even care about such things. I could offer her an easy victory, and she would refuse it. There’s nothing I can do.”

“The fact that Ms. Jackson has achieved absolute victory is precisely why I admire her,” Fabian murmured, following closely behind his Alpha.

Meanwhile, Nelly, the object of their conversation, had returned home after a simple supper and brushing her teeth. Just as she settled into bed, her phone rang, abruptly waking her up. Irritated, she saw that it was Alpha Kilian calling and begrudgingly answered, her voice laced with hostility.

“What do you want?” she snapped, her tone betraying her annoyance.

“Were you asleep?” Alpha Kilian’s voice resonated through the phone.

“Yeah,” Nelly muttered, still half-asleep.

“I’ve been waiting for you,” he confessed, a hint of longing in his voice.

“Huh? Waiting for me? Why?” Nelly questioned, her curiosity overcoming her irritation.

“I told you to let me know when you get home, didn’t I?” Alpha Kilian reminded her.

Realization dawned upon Nelly. “Oh… Right, he did say that…”

Feeling defeated, Alpha Kilian sighed. “Nelly, when will you start taking me more seriously? Even just a little bit would be nice.”

Silence hung in the air for a few seconds before Nelly, sounding drowsy, responded, her voice soft. “Huh? Sorry, what did you say?”

Alpha Kilian’s frustration was evident as he muttered, “It’s nothing. I’m just glad you’re home safe. Go ahead and get some rest.”

“Okay,” Nelly replied sleepily.

“Good night,” Alpha Kilian bid her farewell.

“Good night…” Nelly murmured before abruptly ending the call. However, her drowsiness was now replaced with a newfound alertness.

As she gazed out of her window, lost in her conflicting feelings, Nelly couldn’t help but wonder about her relationship with Alpha Kilian. The late hours of the night always seemed to stir up intense emotions, and Nelly was no different.

The next morning, Nelly was abruptly awakened by loud clanging noises. Realizing she had slept through the day before, she decided to get up, feeling less sleepy than usual. Stepping out of her room, she discovered her children busily packing their belongings.

“What are you all doing?” Nelly inquired, her voice filled with curiosity.

Excitedly, Donna replied, “Nelly, you’re awake! Our school has a break for the next three days, and Great-grandpa said he’d take us on an outing today!”

Nelly glanced at Alpha Wade upon hearing this news. Alpha Wade, fueled by anger, exclaimed, “Alpha King Larry said he’d stay over at our place if I didn’t go!”

Amused, Nelly chuckled softly. “Haha! It seems Alpha Morris is the only one who can counter Grandpa!”

“Hurry up and pack, Nelly! We’ll be leaving soon!” Donna urged her.

Nelly, however, declined their offer. “You guys go ahead. I have some things to take care of today.”

Concerned, Alpha Wade advised her, “You haven’t fully recovered from your injuries yet. It’s best not to strain yourself.”

“Don’t worry, Grandpa. I’ll be fine. You guys go and have fun,” Nelly reassured him.

With a nod, Alpha Wade accepted her decision. “Zachary said he’d come help take care of you, but he only showed up once…”

Not wanting to discuss Alpha Zachary, Nelly pretended not to hear and went to wash up in the bathroom. Left with no choice, Alpha Wade sighed helplessly and continued packing, eventually leaving the house with the kids.

Shortly after they departed, Nelly grabbed her belongings and left the house herself. She made her way to the Grecia Hotel, where she met with Spencer, a fellow werewolf.

After examining her arm, Spencer reminded her, “Do not strain your arm for at least a year unless you want to lose it.”

Nelly calmly accepted his advice. “Got it.”

Curiosity got the best of Spencer, and he decided to inquire about her personal life. “Are you in a relationship?”

For a moment, Nelly froze. “No.”

Confident in his observation, Spencer pressed on. “Then how do you explain the man’s voice I heard that night? I could tell he’s really into you.”

Nelly rolled her eyes at his comment. “How would you know if you haven’t even seen him?”

With an air of confidence, Spencer replied, “I can tell just from the way he speaks. As a man myself, I know what he’s thinking.”

Nelly scrutinized him with a playful smirk. “You? A man?”

Defensive, Spencer protested, feeling a slight blow to his ego. “Hey! Don’t insult me just because I’m prettier than you! I’m a real man, okay?”

Nelly burst into laughter before nodding approvingly. “Yes, of course you are!”

Annoyed, Spencer fired back, determined to defend his manhood. “What’s with that attitude? Do you want me to prove it to you?”

Nelly nodded, unfazed by his challenge. “Sure, go ahead!”

Most women would have blushed, ran away, or accused him of being a pervert, but Nelly dared him, unperturbed.

“You… You’re not behaving like a woman at all! I wonder if there’s even a man out there who can handle your craziness!” Spencer grumbled.

Nelly brushed off his words and refocused their conversation. “So, are we going to have lunch or not?”This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Spencer didn’t hesitate to accept her invitation. “Of course! Why would I decline when you’re buying?”

With a dismissive wave of her hand, Nelly urged him to follow her. “Then stop talking and let’s go.”

As they entered the Infinitium restaurant, they observed that most VIPs preferred to eat on the first floor. However, Nelly purposely chose a table on the quieter, less crowded second floor.

“Why are we dining on the second floor when the VIP rooms are on the first floor?” Spencer questioned curiously after they had placed their orders.

Nelly shrugged, nonchalant. “What difference does it make? We’re here to have lunch.”

Their conversation was disrupted as a familiar voice echoed through the room from downstairs.
