Nelly clung to the wall, his vice-like grip holding her hands captive.
She stared at him, her mind reeling with confusion. What had he said? What did he mean? Surely, he couldn’t have said what she thought he said. It was impossible. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
Meanwhile, Alpha Kilian glared at her, his gaze filled with frustration. Did she truly not understand, or was she pretending to be ignorant? She was usually so intelligent, but now she seemed utterly clueless.
In that moment, Alpha Kilian found himself unable to convey his feelings with words.
Instead, he glanced at her lips and succumbed to temptation. With her hands held high in the air, he leaned in and planted a forceful kiss on her unsuspecting lips.
The invasive kiss, laced with the scent of tobacco, left Nelly frozen in place. Her eyes widened in shock, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
Her mind raced, trying to make sense of it all. She had never seen it coming.
Alpha Kilian only released her after an unknown amount of time.
As he stared at her lips, his gaze dark and intense, he spoke in a husky voice, “Do you understand now?”
Nelly snapped back to reality and issued a warning, her voice laced with anger. “Alpha Kilian, if my hands were free, I would slap you across the face!”
Unexpectedly, Alpha Kilian laughed. “I wouldn’t even retaliate if you slapped me twice!” He then grew serious and said, “I deeply regret my actions.”
Nelly continued to stare at him, her silence speaking volumes.
“Nelly… I’m not asking for a second chance because I’ll prove myself to you. But if you say those things again, I will be angry.”
Did he just call me Nelly?
Nelly furrowed her brow. “Alpha Kilian, be yourself. Don’t disgust me.”
Alpha Kilian seemed unfazed by Nelly’s attitude, offering a smile. “It’s alright. You’ll get used to it.”
Nelly began to struggle, desperately trying to free her hands. “Let go of me.”
Alpha Kilian stared at her for a moment before reluctantly releasing his grip.
In the next instant, Nelly raised her hand to strike him. However, he swiftly caught her hand.
“Nelly, you can’t harm me,” Alpha Kilian declared.
“Stop calling me that.” Nelly felt uncomfortable with his choice of address.
“As I said, you’ll get used to it.” Alpha Kilian seemed determined to keep referring to her as such.
Nelly simply stared at him, unsure of how to proceed.
She was used to giving in to coercion, not persuasion. And now, she was at a loss for what to do.
Finally breaking free, Nelly walked away.
But Alpha Kilian wasn’t ready to let her go. He pulled her back and asked, “What did Lara say to you today?”
Though he hadn’t heard it, he had seen enough.
Nelly lifted her head and met his gaze, despite the darkness. She could clearly see his captivating features.
“Do you really want to know?” Nelly raised an eyebrow.
Alpha Kilian’s eyes darkened. “Don’t believe anything she told you. Just remember what I say.”
“Oh? Weren’t you once very trusting of her?”
“That was because I was a fool.”
Nelly was left speechless. Did he have no principles? How was she supposed to handle him now?
Nelly extricated herself from his arms and headed towards the bed. “Seems like you still have a good grasp on yourself.”
Alpha Kilian followed behind her, his voice tinged with amusement. “Yes, I’m quite remarkable.”
Nelly couldn’t find the words to respond. She felt helpless.
When she turned to see Alpha Kilian trailing after her, she frowned. “Aren’t you supposed to be in your own ward?”
“Don’t you want to chat?”
“I want to sleep.” Nelly had no desire to engage in conversation with him. All she wanted was to gather her thoughts.
Her mind was in a jumble.
Alpha Kilian grinned and suggested, “I can watch you sleep. That way, I can protect you.”
Nelly turned to him with a wry smile. “Thanks, but no thanks.”
“Aren’t you scared?”
“I would be if you were around.”
Alpha Kilian raised his eyebrow. After a moment, he reassured her, “Don’t worry. This is a hospital… I’m not that monstrous.”
Nelly was rendered speechless. That wasn’t what she had meant.
Wanting to end the conversation, she climbed onto the bed and glanced at him. “Leave.”
Alpha Kilian knew it would anger her if he continued to tease. With a raised eyebrow, he replied, “Alright then. Rest well.”
Ignoring him, Nelly immediately laid down on the bed.
Alpha Kilian smiled as he stared at her back. He wiped his lips with his thumb, savoring the taste of her.
“Goodnight,” he whispered softly before leaving the ward.
As he closed the door, he turned to find Tony standing in the corridor.
Alpha Kilian narrowed his eyes at Tony’s presence.
In a nearby convenience store that operated twenty-four hours a day, Alpha Kilian and Tony sat facing each other.
Alpha Kilian studied Tony intently, confirming that he indeed resembled him. Among the three of them, Tony looked most like him. When he had seen him outside the hospital earlier, he had wondered how someone could look so similar to him. Little did he know that Tony was his own son. It wasn’t a mere coincidence; it was fate.
Alpha Kilian’s lips curled into a smile as he pondered.
Meanwhile, Tony had been attempting to break the silence, unsure of what to say. He furrowed his brow when he saw Alpha Kilian suddenly smile and asked, “What are you laughing at?”
He tried to appear composed, but deep down, he couldn’t help but act like a child in Alpha Kilian’s presence. He couldn’t help but be coy without realizing it.
Alpha Kilian gazed at him. “I’m not laughing. I’m simply grateful.”
“Grateful?”
“Yes!” Alpha Kilian nodded, leaning in closer. “Tony, do you know who I am?”
Tony met his gaze and nodded slowly. “Yes, I do.”
“That’s what I’m grateful for!”
“Don’t you… hate me?” Tony asked cautiously.
Alpha Kilian felt a sharp pain in his heart upon hearing those words. His eyes narrowed as he responded, “Hate? Why would you say that? I can’t wait to shower you with love! Why would I hate you? You have no idea how thankful I am that your mother brought you into this world. I’m so glad all of you are healthy and well.”
Although Tony appeared confused, a spark of joy ignited within him.
