Chapter 675
Chapter 675 Game
Chloe was somewhat taken aback. She had always thought Wesley was even more stable than Michael when it came to emotions.
"Yeah, you wouldn't believe it. When he's yelling at someone, he's actually pretty impressive. He stays calm and detached, like he's just having a normal conversation. Not a hint of emotion. And when the other person gets all worked up, he'll even say, 'Calm down, would you? Just speak clearly.""
Chloe and Candy weren't big gamers themselves.
Hearing about Wesley's skill at dishing out insults, Chloe gave Candy a thumbs up. "Impressive."
She even began to understand why Wesley and Candy got along so well.
Both were formidable when it came to throwing verbal punches, though their styles were different.
It was clear they were cut from the same cloth.
"Are evildoer and James playing on TV? Can we see the rankings?"
"I'm not sure. Why don't you check it out?"
Chloe hadn't been keeping up with this recently. With her own life in a mess, she hadn't cared much about who won or lost between the two.
Candy eagerly turned on the TV and pulled up the game results screen.
"I knew evildoer was doing this on purpose!"
Candy slapped her thigh with excitement.
Chloe followed her gaze to the TV screen, where two abstract IDs appeared. One was "Sine Function in My Heart," and the other was "Universe Super Invincible Spinny Pineapple Head Handsome Guy."
Candy rolled her eyes. She could tell immediately which ID belonged to Michael and which to James.
"How can James have the audacity to call himself 'Universe Super Invincible Handsome"?"
Chloe looked at the IDs and couldn't help but chuckle.
The mental state of these two was truly extraordinary.
They checked the scores and rankings on the screen. Clearly, "Universe Super Invincible Spinny Pineapple Head Handsome Guy" had a higher score than the other one.
"Evildoer must be pretty upset. Maybe he took James out for a
while you weren't around," said seriously.
Candy
Chloe, initially skeptical, began to think it wasn't entirely out of the question.
After all, Michael was incredibly competitive.
"What are they even playing? The third place is... 'It Takes Two'?!"
Candy looked stunned, staring at the third-place 'It Takes Two' and the fourth-place 'Overcooked' on the list.
She thought, "Are these two just here to flirt?
Feels kind of... gay."
With newfound excitement, Candy turned to Chloe. "Chloe, let's play some games together!"
"I'm not really into gaming."Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
Though Chloe was good with
puzzles and had some impressive logic skills, she didn't play many computer games, and mobile games were even less on her radar.
"Oh, there are some really fun co-op games you'd probably enjoy!"
"Like what?" Chloe asked, curious.
"For example, 'Don't Starve!"
Chloe was puzzled, thinking, "What kind of name is that?"
Just as Candy was about to pull up the game to show Chloe, the doorbell rang.
Both of them paused. They thought, "Who could be ringing the bell? Surely it isn't James or Michael."
"Could it be Sir Shawn or someone from the Miller family?" Candy said.
Chloe thought it was a plausible guess and went to answer the door.
To her surprise, when she saw who was standing outside, she was momentarily stunned. "What are you doing here?"
